We really enjoyed our stay at Fireweed. Communication was great and directions to the house were perfect. The house was very clean. It is a convenient location near Denali National Park.
Nice cabin! Well done interior. A little remote location and the gravel driveway can be a little challenging with a 2 wheel drive, but overall the place is very nice!
Super cute cabin. Very quiet and clean. It had everything we needed: Small frig, coffee, hot pot, fluffy towels. Ladder to the loft is a bit steep, but we 60 something’s did ok. Enjoyed sitting outside. Coming back from Denali we even saw a moose on the driveway in! Would totally stay here again!
Very nice property. Very clean. Fires were burning a few miles up the road, but property was still available. The road into cabin was steep in spots and the road had washed some but still passable. Enjoyed the stay.
It’s a very secluded location. We saw a moose sleeping about 50 feet from our front door, which was fun. We enjoyed our stay, but just be aware that it is very basic. That is not a complaint, but sometimes I just assume there will be an oven, or a larger refrigerator when I’m renting a place. I would definitely stay here again.
What a find! We stayed at this cabin in between backpacking and hiking at Denali National Park. It was a great place and very beautiful. Lots of moose in the area!
WE enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is adorable and the views are fantastic.
It is close to the state park and all the activities in the area.
The owners are wonderful and helped us through a mishap we made on our trip.
Highly recommend this cute place! I plan to visit again on my next trip to this area!
Hidden away but easy to get to. Clean, updated spaces, comfortable beds, small but efficient bathroom with good shower. We were 3 adults and it worked out well. Good communication with property manager.
You. Ed to follow the good directions carefully and in the rain, it is nice to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Otherwise, relaxing, quiet, beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin! Those views can be breathtaking! You're welcome back anytime.
Our stay was fine. I would recommend it for shorter stays because there is little relaxing space and little privacy with the open loft. A little difficult to find. Perhaps the owner could add turn onto Dalton Ridge, dirt road.
Very clean and well stocked with towels, soaps, pillows. Keuring with everything needed for a cup of coffee or tea. We didn't realize the windows didn't have black out shades. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Brochures on things to do in the area. Easy to find with the directions. We enjoyed staying there.
We enjoyed our stay! There was a noise of something hitting the cabin from the outside, possibly in the fenced area between cabins. It was very loud and would hit the cabin when the wind blew and woke us up throughout the night. The other people also heard the noise. Otherwise the room was excellent!
We had a nice stay here. The place was very clean, had comfortable beds, and the views were absolutely stunning, a highlight of the stay. The steep driveway might be tricky for some, but it was clearly mentioned in the listing, so no surprises there. The space was really more like a hotel room setup, so if you're expecting something larger or more spacious just keep that in mind. There were no blinds or curtains, which made it super bright, but they thoughtfully provided eye masks. One heads-up: the tap water had a metallic taste, so you may want to bring your own drinking water. All in all, it was a good stay and great for a short stay, especially if you’re there to enjoy nature and don’t need a full kitchen or lots of space.
The property was very nice, the directions to get there were a little confusing but once there it’s a great property. The place was super clean and had new furniture.
A few things to note: the ladder getting up to the loft is extremely steep to climb up, there’s no lock on the bathroom door, and the only blinds are on the bottom two windows, not the top two, so if you’re visiting in the summer I would bring some eye masks or something to help sleep.
Next time I book a place, I'll be sure to read what the place is equipped with. The cabin was very sparse in utensils, dishes, etc., instructions (heater) and it was really remote. It was clean, the bed was great. Did it somewhere say that one should bring all of your own equipment? Felt like an "unfinished" cabin/home away from home. Beautiful setting. Thank you.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Disliked: Communication, location
Comfortable property, poor communication with owner
We had a wonderful trip to Alaska and all property owners and places were responsive and helpful with responding to questions and being helpful. This is the only place that the owner didn’t respond to questions we had while there and unfortunately after we left we left some items and we didn’t get a response until reaching out to VRBO 12 days later and knew we’d never get our items. His reply was confusing and not helpful! No we didn’t get our items left.
Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to navigate the driveway. No internet available. Not helpful while there. The loft was good for our younger son but challenging for adults to climb.
The location is beautiful. The cabin is immaculate and comfortable for 2. We enjoyed the isolation and solitude.
It faces the Alaskan Range and provides glimpses of the mountains through the tall trees in front of the cabin.
As others noted, it is essentially a hotel room. The bed is quite comfortable. There is a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. Hot water is readily available from the taps and the wall heating unit kept night temps comfortable, when needed.
The road is listed on online maps as Canary Rd. (or use the mapping coordinates another reviewer posted) and we were readily able to find it. However, the angle of the road may make it more difficult to detect if you're not using a mapping app. The gravel road is quite steep, an AWD vehicle is strongly recommended.
It was very difficult to find the property. It was very nice, clean. It would be nice to have a little bit more seating, larger trash receptacles and a small dresser in the loft.
The scenery was great and the proximity to Denali was perfect. Remote and quiet, which was nice. Appreciated our time here.
Awesome location, highly recommended, great private location. Highly recommend staying here, beautiful views and the cabin is immaculate. Thanks again to Aaron who was super helpful with all my questions. If I make it back to the Denali area this is where I will stay.
PS: Go to Rose’s for breakfast!!!!! It’s incredible
