Cabin in Duck Creek

Great communication from the owners. We had more than enough space for 2 couples. The fire pit was a great addition! Master mattress and living room furniture could use updating.

Nice, quiet, and clean

Cute little cabin in Duck Creek Village. Very clean and the owner checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Questions about the property were returned promptly. We used it for our visit to Bryce Canyon NP and it is a nice 1 hour drive away. Looking forward to returning.

Perfect getaway

We needed a place that was a good retreat but close to both Bryce and Zion’s National Parks. This was a perfect location. Although it had three bedrooms, we only needed one. The kitchen and baths have been updated. The views from the deck were the main reason we chose this cabin and they didn’t disappoint.

Special Utah spot!

Loved being nestled in the mountains in between Bryce and Zion National Parks. Many hikes and playing in the snow was had. Super cozy and enjoyed hanging out with the turkeys. David was responsive to any questions we had and loved having the fireplace to cozy up to. :)

Great views - a few hiccups

Loved the property and location - loved seeing the deer come visit every day! Advertising pictures misleading about how much storage available to guests - it would help if you included in property description that guests would have only three drawers and one closet in entire house available to put clothing and very limited space in kitchen for food storage. Also we traveled with a toddler (crawling) and a small dog. To our horror we discovered (after three days there) rat poison under toe space in kitchen and under bed upstairs. Our child and dog could have easily been poisoned. Please include the fact that you put this poison out in your description so others don’t face the same scare

A wonderful Summer Cabin

Our family of 4 plus a pup had a wonderful almost 3 week Summer vacation in David's Duck Creek cabin. It was very roomy for our long stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, plenty of clean towels and linens, and lets just say the view will not disappoint anyone! Duck Creek is a tiny town with a gasstation surrounded by enough outdoor activities to keep our busy family hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, and exploring for the entire time. Our evenings were spent relaxing in the various living rooms, reading, watching Netfix or observing the local animals from the decks. Bring you 4x4 vehicle because to road up to the cabin was well maintained but an E ticket for our offroad family! I highly recommend David's cabin!!!

A chance to unwind

So as a first trip for both of us to Duck Creek we decided to rent a cabin.and we chose Mountain Lookout. And we were glad we did. An awesome view, wildlife all around and peace and quiet. We went on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet in town. Took the side by side out for some trail riding. Grabbed some dinner in town and hung out at the cabin. We wanted to stay another day, but work called us back. So we decided that we will return. great communications with owners too. They answered all our concerns. We brought our dog. The cabin had a kennel for him as well

All good..... except the stairs

We've stayed in Duck Creek before, but this time we went earlier in the year (early May). To our surprised, a lot of the area was still completely buried in snow! Not from the area, I was surprised and apparently they had a winter with over 25 FT of snow. Nothing anyone can do to help that, it is what it is... Anyways, we tried to make the best of it and went hiking in the areas not buried (mainly towards bottom of the mountain). I dug out the firepit from the snow piles so we could use it when we were back at the cabin. All was about as good as could be given the snow circumstances until my wife slipped going down the steep staircase connecting the living area to the master suite upstairs. She ended up with 3 broken bones in her foot/ankle area and needed surgery. All 4 of us in the group slipped/tripped utilizing those stairs because they are very steep and tight. My wife was just the 4th and last person in our group to do so because we had to clear out and head to the hospital and end the trip after only 1.5 days. The property itself was as expected, location as expected and great for those wishing to hike and fish when not snowed in. Just BE CAREFUL when using the stairs.

Winter Wonderland

We enjoyed our time in the Mountain View Cabin, our family's first time in Utah. Its view of Duck Creek Village is absolutely breathtaking! Snow was abundant and our kids loved sledding down on the small hills just out front. The cabin was clean and was a warm and welcoming retreat from the snow. It’s outfitted with cozy furniture, comfortable beds, soft linens and plush towels. The thermostat-controlled heating throughout the house was just right. Plus it was great to wake up to the amazing views of the creek from the large windows (and off the deck). We did have a couple of hiccups during our stay, however. When we arrived at night, we couldn’t get into the house. The front door code didn’t work and there wasn’t a spare key in the lockbox. It was dark and snowing so that was tough! The property manager was responsive and gave us a new code but we had to wait a bit before we were able to re-enter the new code to get in. The next day, the power went out in the neighborhood in the evening. No flashlights in the cabin; there were tea lights but no holders. We had our phone lights, but we wanted to conserve our batteries since we didn’t know when power would come back. Even with these setbacks, we still had a lovely time. The cabin is equipped with a variety of board games and Netflix to keep us entertained indoors, and the fresh snow provided us with plenty of activity in front of the house. We definitely would like to come back and stay here again!

Quiet and relaxing.

Wanted a quiet relaxing couple of days and got what I asked for.. the deck was where I spent most of my time reading or staring at the surroundings.. beds, bathrooms, kitchen are all better than expected.. wifi and smart tv were unexpected bonuses.. looking forward to doing it again next year.
