Welcome to Stay Salty!!! We would love to share our beach house with you and your family.
*We strongly advise the purchase of trip interruption/cancellation insurance so as to safeguard your investment. This insurance is purchased outside of this platform and protects your vacation investment in the event of an emergency/weather/evacuation event that could potentially negatively impact your reservation.
*STAY SALTY has an outdoor security camera on the grounds to monitor for the safety and security of the property and to ensure good care of the property. There are no cameras inside the home or any cameras pointed toward the inside of the home or pool area. The cameras monitor from the exterior of the front door out to the street only. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting, or obscuring the camera is prohibited and will result in full forfeiture of the security deposit and may, at the owner’s discretion, result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights’ rents.
*Please note: We do not offer cancellation refunds outside of the cancellation window in which your reservation falls.
Our beautiful 3 bed/3 bath bay front home with a private pool is located right in the heart of SGI. You can easily walk to one of 2 beach access areas within 5 minutes. Beach access is on the boardwalk behind the lighthouse or down the 3rd Street boardwalk, which is our favorite. Make unforgettable memories kayaking on the bay behind the house with the family. While we do not have direct bay access, put-in for kayaks is right next door at Journeys or just around the corner by the boat ramp at the bridge. We do offer 2 kayak transport carts that can assist you in transporting the kayaks to the bay next door at Journeys. Launching at the bridge will require that you have a vehicle to transport the kayaks in. You can also rent additional kayaks at Journeys if needed.
Our home has updated stainless steel appliances and washer/dryer plus all new mattresses and bedding. All 3 bedrooms have Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. The entire house has been freshly painted and decorated with coastal themed decor. The house also has free wireless internet access and streaming capability.
The first flight of stairs leads you up to the king bedroom/ensuite bath and to the second bedroom/adjacent bath. The king bedroom offers a king sized euro top mattress. The second bedroom on this floor has a queen sized bed and opens out onto a private deck (with seating for 4) leading to the backyard. This bedroom overlooks the pool and the beautiful Apalachicola Bay.
The second flight of stairs leads you to the open concept kitchen, dining, and living areas. A beautiful vaulted ceiling on this floor gives you panoramic views of the bay. This level also has a private balcony with seating for 4. This is a beautiful space to enjoy coffee in the mornings, gorgeous sunset views in the evening, kayakers going by on the bay, and bald eagles frequenting the backyard on the bay. The living area has a 70” TV for viewing your favorite sports games and movies with family and friends. The laundry room and the main floor bathroom (which also services the loft bedroom) are located off the kitchen area.
The third flight of stairs leads to the spacious open loft bedroom which has a queen bed and 2 twin beds. The loft space is ideal for kids, teenagers, or even a family of 4. The bathroom that services the loft bedroom is located one floor down.
All 3 bedrooms plus the living room have smart TVs. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals and has a coffee maker plus a Keurig (bring your favorite pods). The dining table along with 4 adjacent bar stools provides ample seating for 8. We also provide a high chair plus a pack n play. There is a full-sized washer and dryer for accommodating any laundry needs during your stay.
For outside amenities, we offer our guests an assortment of outdoor gear that if rented elsewhere for the week, would add up to an incredible value of almost one thousand dollars. Guests may enjoy using the 2 Sit on Top kayaks with paddles (please bring or rent your own life vests.), Corn Hole boards, 2 Bocci sets, beach and pool toys, 8 beach chairs, 4 beach umbrellas, and a beach cart. We also provide beach towels for our guests to use (we kindly ask that you launder them for the next guests upon your departure). A park style charcoal grill is also available. The home has a covered front entry and under-house concrete parking for 1 with parking for 3 total. And....our home is also in a golf cart friendly area of the island!! Golf cart rentals are available within walking distance and they are so much fun to rent for the week!
Stay Salty is located within a minute’s walk to Paddy’s Raw Bar~ the island’s super popular “go-to” restaurant. Enjoy live music, great oysters, cold beer, and fun people. You can also walk to the island's grocery store (The Blue Pig) within 5 minutes. Park your car for the week and enjoy your vacation!

We fell in love with SGI on our first trip here and have continued to come here for the past 10 years for our yearly family vacations. We have always had a dream of owning a beach house here and our dream became a reality in the summer of 2019. We purchased our home just as soon as it hit the market and immediately began to do renovations and upgrades to make it a home that we would be proud to share with our friends, family, and future guests. We completed our upgrades and renovations in April 2020. We are proud of the home that we have recreated and are now excited to share it with you!
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because we absolutely LOVE the LOCATION!!! We have stayed in homes all over the island but we love staying in town center the best and we also love that we are a 1 minute walk to Paddy's!!!
What makes this property unique
I have to say the view is AMAZING from this home ALL DAY LONG!! Overlooking the bay, we have beautiful views of the SGI bridge and the gorgeous bay sunsets. Kayaking is a fun activity in the bay so we also enjoy watching the kayakers go by. We also love watching the bald eagles who frequent our backyard often. Our favorite thing about the home though is that we can WALK to everything fun on the island. All restaurants and grocery stores are an easy walk plus the beach and shops are within a few minutes walking distance. It's nice to park the car and just walk, ride a bike, or rent a golf cart for the week. It really connects you more to this amazing island, that we love so much!
