Great Glamping
My girlfriend and I had a great time here. We were a little worried it would be cold, but the yurt had heaters and we were nice and cozy the whole time. And it was wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the running stream behind the yurt. The property was beautiful, but the real stars were the animals. Getting to feed and brush the Scottish Highland cows was a major plus. There are also two very friendly dogs who kept us company during our stay. We loved sitting with the dogs and watching the cows, goats, and chickens. There's a lot of great places for hiking nearby. The Kendall Trail is just a few minutes away. We also highly recommend Coopers Rock State Forest and Swallow Falls State Park, both only a short drive away. We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Beautiful comfortable get away
Beautiful farm with a flowing stream, comfortable yurt, pavilion with an outdoor kitchen and living area with big stone fireplace, and the nicest animals! That plus so many stars at night. Couldn’t ask for more.

The charms of a beautiful farm
The owners were quite friendly, and so was their happy farm family. Bowie( the pup), sally ( the duck), and many of the chickens as well as the goats. The babbling brook was wonderful to fall asleep too. Had a great and peaceful time. We definitely would stay again.

We are a family of 3 running our lovely livestock farm. Over the past few years we have been working to get the farm up and running for guests to allow us to share this property with others. We raise Jacob and Scottish Blackface sheep. We also have a flock of goats, two Scottish Highland cows and various types of poultry running around.

Why they chose this property

Century-old farmhouse and barn. We added a yurt to allow guests to stay and interact with the livestock and enjoy the peace and serenity of the stream-side locale.

Pavilion has kitchen essentials including Nuwave induction cooktop, convection oven, microwave and refrigerator.

What makes this property unique

Feed goats, sheep, cows, ducks, chickens, guineas, fish. We offer a unique lodging accommodation with the benefit of scenic pastures and beautiful livestock.

All animals are under yearly vet care and up to date on shots. At any given time, some may be off limits for treatments, injury, etc.

Please do not put any paper products, etc in the compost toilet.

We maintain honeybee hives onsite and encourage wildflower and other pollinators around the property. There is a minor risk of beestings, however, we keep necessary medication (Epipen) etc.
