Boulder Ridge Cabin -a private chalet in the woods

If you are looking for a private, quiet retreat, that's only 15 minutes from Deep Creek Lake, Wisp Resort, shopping, etc., this cabin is for you. Inside the cabin you'll find a well equipped kitchen, a large living area with a wood burner for cool evenings, a laundry room, a loft bedroom, and a bathroom with shower/tub combo. Outside there's a screened porch with chairs, a campfire area, a hammock, beautiful boulders. We've cleared a trail through the woods that leads to a bench for wildlife viewing or just relaxing.
Sleeping arrangements are a queen bed in the loft and a full pull out couch in the living room.
If you're looking for dates that are already booked, check out Fern Hill Cabin on Bear Ridge Court for available dates. It's in the same general location. Sorry no dogs at Fern Hill Cabin.
PLEASE BE ADVISED, A 4x4 OR ALL-WHEEL VEHICLE IS REQUIRED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. I RECOMMEND NOV 1ST THROUGH APRIL 15. VISTA RIDGE DRIVE AND THE DRIVEWAY TO THE CABIN ARE ONLY PLOWED AFTER 6" OF SNOW HAS FALLEN

Absolutely Beautiful.

My husband and I needed to get away from life for a weekend and Boulder Ridge Cabin was perfect. It was very cozy and serene. It was very clean. There are other cabins around but they are far enough away you can't really see them even in the middle of winter.

Wonderful Deep Creek Cabin

This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for myself and my husband. It’s 15 minutes to all the places we like to go in the area. It’s very clear that the owners take get care of this property. Everything is incredibly well kept up and we appreciated the touches of the extra toothpaste and brushes and granola bars. It had everything we needed.

Wonderful cabin away weekend!

My partner and I stayed over a weekend where we went skiing at nearby Wisp resort. Everything about the cabin was perfect, and it felt like the perfect remote winter getaway!

Amazing cabin and such a cozy Christmas

My boyfriend, me, and my dogs spent Christmas at the Boulder Ridge Cabin! It was such a peaceful and cozy place to spend the Holidays! The cabin and property are so wonderful and relaxing. We even arrived to snowy wonderland on Christmas Eve! We stay in quite a few VRBO type places every year, and this was definitely one of our favorites! The Hosts are very responsive and provide everything you could need during your stay!!!We will definitely be back soon!!!

Fantastic!

Cabin was perfect! Everything we could have needed was included and the cabin was very clean. The pull out sofa bed was a tad uncomfortable for sleeping, and the cabin is definitely best suited for a couple or small family. Otherwise tho, it couldn’t be better! Highly recommended!

Quiet mountain cabin stay

What a lovely stay we had at the Boulder Ridge Cabin! We were taken back at first by how secluded the cabin was but quickly learned that access to everything we could want or need was just 15 minutes away. The cabin offered not only convenience but also a relaxing get-away site. Susan was absolutely incredibly responsive and helpful sharing where shopping and restaurants were as well as the great attractions that the area offered. We took advantage of everything from walks on the numerous trails to a farmer's market and local shopping as well as eating at some fabulous restaurants. The rest of our visit was spent on the large screened-in porch enjoying coffee in the morning listening to the owls and coyotes to leisurely afternoons and evenings reading or watching the birds at the various feeders. The visit was exactly what we needed! Thank you Susan for sharing your lovely little cabin in the woods!

Beautiful cabin in the woods

This cabin is perfect & beautiful. The landscaping had me breathless, from the flowers to the bird feeders, the firepit, to the hidden treasure of benches in the wooded area. A perfect get away nestled on top of a mountain in Maryland. We will definitely be back to the Boulder Ridge cabin. Thanks for the hospitality and sharing your precious gift a home away from home

Another Great Stay

Enjoyed another great stay at Boulder Ridge! It is our favorite getaway with our dogs. Quiet yet close to the activity of Deep Creek Lake. Comfortable with all the amenities we need. My favorite place is on the screened in porch. We will be back!

Perfect....as advertised.

This is the second time my wife and I rented a cabin from Susan and John, last time staying at their other cabin. We take a trip every year to a cabin for a weekend and while others advertise a "cabin in the woods" it's usually a cabin in the woods surrounded by other cabins. Not so with this one. You ARE in the woods and although there are properties nearby, they are far enough away where you have a sense of privacy and seclusion. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful with trees, walking trails, and NO NOISE. It's a great escape for a weekend to just relax and you're close enough to Deep Creek to take a drive during the day. We were entertained by hummingbirds, deer, a turkey and birds zooming in and out of the birdhouses. The property is clean, well-kept, and cozy and we built a fire in the evening. As someone who grew up in the middle of the city, this is a real treat for me. We were able to take our 14-year old mini-pin/italian greyhound mix with us and we enjoyed walking him on the trails. Susan and John, you do a great job of making your guests feel at home. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

Susan's property was very comfortable and was a great place to stay for accessing the Upper Yough. We also really enjoyed the beautiful hikes in West Virginia.

Wonderful, relaxing getaway!

This was our third visit to Boulder Ridge. The cabin is clean, tastefully decorated, and well-stocked with necessary items. The addition of wifi and the smart TV since our last visit was a nice surprise! We brought our redbone coonhound with us. She lives it there too! It is such a peaceful place! We will be back again.

Nice home in the woods

We enjoyed our stay. Equipped with everything we needed. Saw deer outside which was pretty cool. It's a 20 minute drive to Deep Creek but not terrible. Only downside for us older folks, is that the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedroom is on the 2nd floor. Not convenient for those middle of the night bathroom runs! Otherwise a great stay!
