About this property

The Blue Heron - 1609 Snapper Lane

This house is modern and very clean. Construction was completed in September 2007. The decor is bright and cheerful...perfect for putting one in vacation mode. The warm, cozy atmosphere makes relaxing and unwinding a must.

It has a covered porch to sit on and enjoy the warm nights. It is built on stilts and allows parking for 2-3 cars. Note that Ocean Lakes charges a car pass fee per night per car. However, motorcycles are only allowed as far as a parking lot up front. You cannot park them at house. Short walk from lot to house. I have no control over this. A private outdoor shower is available for rinsing off after a long day at the beach. It is the perfect vacation spot for couples or small families. I do require a minimum age of 25 to rent. Stated rate is for up to 4 guests. An additional charge of $10/night will apply for the 5th or 6th person. FYI - outside security cameras are in use at this property.

The House is 2 blocks back from the Ocean which is a short walk or golf cart ride. Golf carts are available for rent onsite at Ocean Lakes.

We had an amazing stay at The Blue Heron and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Surfside/Myrtle Beach area. Our trip was especially meaningful because we were there to meet up with our youngest son during his marching band trip, and this home was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy that time together.The Blue Heron is beautiful, well-maintained, adorably decorated, and exactly as described. The house was spacious, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming and easy to settle into. The Ocean Lakes Campground Community has so much to see and do built right into it as well. The host was wonderful, communication was great, and check-in was simple and stress-free. We were having so much fun that we actually ended up extending the stay at the beach house. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend The Blue Heron for anyone looking for a lovely, comfortable home away from home near the beach.
