This Magnificent Apartment of 140m2 (1507 square feet) is located in a 15th century mansion combining charm of the old and modern comfort.
A true historical work whose construction is attributed to a great master Italian architect! The whole of this story, including that of the construction of the Amboise houses, is documented in the apartment to plunge you as soon as you arrive in the History of Amboise.

Enjoy the exceptional location of this house in the heart of the city overlooking the castle.
Completely renovated with taste, you will be seduced by its solid oak flooring, its monumental fireplace, stained glass windows and beams with period paintings at a height of 3m.

Free parking within the grounds of the property, French gardens.

It has 3 full bedrooms, 2 with king size double beds, the last with twin beds that can be assembled in double bed if necessary. The larger bedroom also has a convertible sofa bed for 2 additional guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge, hob, multifunction oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine.

The bathrooms are equipped with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, suspended toilet.

Flat screen TV with international channels in the living room.

You will live in the heart of the historic city of Amboise, 5 minutes walk from the Castle and the Tourist Office. After your day of visit, relax during a walk on the banks of the Loire. This will lead you without doubt to the Ile d'Or where you can enjoy a cocktail on the terrace facing the Castle illuminated by the sublime colors of the sunset.
To end your evening, enjoy the specialties of Touraine and typical French cuisine in the various quality restaurants located nearby (less than 10 minutes walk) or prepare your own cuisine with local products that you could buy at the nicest Market of the Region which is held on the banks of the Loire in Amboise every Friday and Sunday morning.
Stay of 3 nights minimum. From 06 July to 17 August stay of 7 nights minimum.
From June to September possible arrival on Monday or Friday.

Excellent location and spacious home

Family of four enjoyed a week in this wonderful apartment. Very convenient to most all of Amboise. We walked to dinner every night and enjoyed the center of Amboise very much . We highly recommend. The only issue was finding the key upon arrival, but when we looked at the directions sent to us carefully, it was easy to find .

Exceeded our expectations. Very central with parking included. Lovely garden to enjoy. We were two couples that had our own privacy but ample room to spare. Our host, Stephane, was always available. Beds very comfortable with, washing machine, dishwasher and a nice kitchen for dinners in. It was the perfect place for 2 weeks in charming Amboise!

Stepping Back in Time- so enchanting

Everything about our stay in Amboise at Le Clos Renaissance was just perfect. The apartment was so much better than my wildest expectations. To spend a week living in a building that retained so much of its ancient character and feel yet was so incredibly comfortable was priceless really. The pictures don’t do it justice!!

This was by far the most beautiful VRBO property we have stayed at. We have 4 kids and it had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable, the architecture was gorgeous, the location is 60 seconds away from downtown and most importantly pastries! The only thing I would say are better bed pillows, they were decorative and not comfortable.

Wonderful apartment in a great location!

The apartment was large with beautiful gardens. While it had the character of a 15th century building, the kitchen and bathrooms were modern. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The location was perfect, only a few minutes walk to restaurants, the Amboise chateaux, Leonardo da Vinci's Clos Luce, as well as a grocery store and bike rentals. Communication with the owners was easy. We definitely recommend this awesome apartment!

Very old property but converted nice rooms but very small second bath as part of the bedroom on one end. The large living spaces, it was very nice and easy to visit and play games. Town was close and easy to get too and plenty of parking off the street. Host met us and showed us everything great support.

Right in the centre of everything

This is a large, well furnished and equipped 3 bedroom apartment right in the centre of Amboise. It is located in a 15th century building, but is completely up to date. It is really quite something to stay there. There is dedicated parking for a vehicle (we had a very large Mercedes SUV - it was tricky to get through the gates, but it is do-able - once inside the courtyard, there is more than enough space). We got complete instructions for a self check in. The instructions came in multiple pages - make sure you read them in the right order! The apartment is well equipped and very large. It is steps away from restaurants, shops, food shops and the chateau. It's a good location for visiting other parts of the Loire. It is about 20 steps up from ground level with a decently wide spiral staircase. The ensuite bathroom is a bit unusual in that all facilities are open to the room. The family bathroom is very large with a very good shower. All of the wifi, kitchen and laundry equipment works well. The owners are very responsive to requests. They managed to help us with heating the apartment in very late September when the nights got a bit damp and chilly. We appreciated their responsiveness very much. Highly recommended.

Ambroise 15th century “Charming” experience

Excellent experience and truly enjoyed our 6-night stay. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores and village boutiques, including chocolate and ice cream. It’s a 500yr old Chateau with a very modern touch. Apartment worked great for two couples and had nice hard beds, nice furniture and upgraded kitchen complete with washing machine. Drying racks were provided as well and worked great. Hosts were wonderful and excellent to work with. Gardens were beautiful to sit in and relax. Such a cool experience and so glad we chose this 15th century living lifestyle in Ambroise!! Last, the bakery around the corner was a “hit” with my husband.

Wonderful historical property artfully restored

It's not often you get to stay in an historical 15th century property. From Amboise castle on the hill you can see this property clearly as it stands above the cityscape. Clearly an important building in its time. And such a superb apartment. With super stone fireplace, creaky floorboards, ancient woodwork. Just simply stunning. Beds are comfy, Views of the garden lovely. Even the garden is stately home style with flower beds and gravel paths in symmetry. Parking easy. Really close to the town centre but quiet with it. I really cannot fault this property at all.

Clos Renaissance

We stayed for a short three-night stay. We found the apartment to be spacious, clean and perfectly situated in Amboise being close to the chateau and main walking street. The apartment is in excellent condition and the rich history made the stay very rewarding. We would stay here again if we were to return to Amboise.

Fantastic Rental

My wife and I rented this property for her birthday trip to France where her sister and her family joined us to celebrate. The apartment was ready early for our check-in and the owners were a pleasure to rent from. The apartment is fantastic! It is very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The architectural detail in the renovated apartment is lovingly maintained. And the apartment is equipped with everything we needed for our stay. If I visit this area of France again, we will definitely stay here again as it ticks all the boxes for us...Clean, well furnished, great location, fantastic owners. This location is very well suited for visiting several of the Chateau's in the region. Ambois is a small town with interesting sights and several good restaurants to choose from. It's a large enough town to have the services we wanted and small enough to avoid the "big city" feel. I'd highly recommend this area. Many thanks to our hosts for a wonderful stay. Ed
