The Captain’s Cottage

When ship Captains return from sea, many like to enjoy amenities ashore, but not wander far from the ocean for their rest. The Captain’s Cottage was built with exactly this in mind! This beautiful new home is in the heart of north Naples. It is a one block walk to the Mercato shopping, dining and entertainment. Walk or bike ride four blocks to Vanderbilt Beach. Bikes and beach gear are available on-site.


The home has three bedrooms, three baths, plus den, with master suites both upstairs and down; comfortably sleeps six. First floor master suite and bath are handicap accessible.


A designer kitchen with stainless steel appliances is a chef's dream and the stylish, glass block eat-in peninsula a great gathering place for family and friends.


The Captain's Cottage affords comfortable indoor/outdoor living. From the living room and kitchen, double sets of French doors open out to a broad lanai across the full length of the house. Enjoy the outdoor living, dining, and bath areas. The large, heated and screened pool is comfortable year-round. Grill and outdoor refrigerator make poolside meals a breeze.


The house was custom designed specifically for natural light throughout the day. There is an ample utility room with full sized washer and dryer as well as spare refrigerator available. Stunning indoor living areas both downstairs and upstairs, complete this gem.


The home is wonderfully situated for privacy. Monthly rentals receive complimentary gift basket upon arrival. Like a ship Captain home from the sea, come and take your well-deserved time and rest in SW Florida paradise!

The heated pool and patio were amazing, we spent a lot of time out there. The location is great, quiet yet still very near restaurants. We walked to the Mercato a couple times for dinner.

The cleanliness of the property was superb! The amenities offered for the beach, greatly appreciated. A couple of bikes to tour the area. The location was ideal for dining, the beach and shopping. The heated pool was wonderful! Great place to stay!

We had a wonderful week! The house was very clean and had everything we needed from beach towels and bikes to a well stocked kitchen. The pool and patio were really nice. We spent most of our time here. The location was great too. Just a short walk/drive to the beach and restaurants. Highly recommend staying here!

A month of sun

The house was beautiful & very clean !The bedroon bath situation should be explained better in the description as one of the upstairs bedrooms has a down stairs bath which wasnt an easy trip for older adults especially in the middle of the night.....only one complaint.....the pillows were horrible time to buy new ones ! Everything was close for walking & short trips in the car .......wonderful stay !

2 Weeks getaway

This house is beautiful!!! Clean, well decorated. The pool was well maintained and beautiful. The outdoor space is so very pretty and we spent a lot of time out there. The house is a walk to the beach (about 1.2 miles), so close to restaurants and shops. A great location. If I had to say one complaint (and its a small one), new beach chairs would be great. Ones that you could carry on your back to the beach. But overall, this is an amazing house!! Will definitely stay again!

Awesome place! However for the money linens and mattresses need upgraded. Overall very nice and close to everything. Would recommend for party of 6. Pool was awesome and plenty of room to spread out for entire family.

All We Would Ever Need for a Vacation!

We were wowed by this home from the minute we stepped in. Everything was pristine, beautifully decorated, and ready for our stay. The home was comfortable and cozy but we spent most of our time on the porch by the pool. We were within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. If I HAD to search for some way to be critical, I wish the mattresses were more comfortable. Otherwise, this home was perfect!

Great place and locations is 1 mile to Vanderbilt beach and the Ritz Carlton..Gumbo Limbo !!!

Very clean and tastefully done. Pool is heated and house is exactly as stated online and photos. Only recommendation we have is to update the beach chairs and have a cooler for renters. And more beach towels.. otherwise it’s perfect and would rent again.. and I’m from Naples but have since moved so knowing the area so well I would certainly recommend this home!! Thank you.. First-time VRBO user and 100% satisfied. Perfect family house, clean, new, exactly as described. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, close to the beach (1mile), two blocks from Mercato, which is a great place for grocery shopping, walk and excellent restaurants. The pool is great, tempered. smart TV on the living room and cable service with 150+ channels. Great shower, comfortable beds, A/C 100% functioning. Beach toys, chairs, umbrella and cooler available. Just need to bring love and joy!!! Especial thanks to Marilynn Langdon who was always available and responded in minutes. Certainly will be back...
