Indoors, adjacent to the large gourmet stainless-steel kitchen is the sunny, loft-like living/dining room with an elm dining/conference table (seats ten), and a leather living room ensemble seating seven in front of a massive limestone inglenook fireplace.

Unique home in very peaceful setting

Wonderful, relaxing stay! Loved how unique the home was and that our family each had there own private area to sleep in. No cable so we had a great time building puzzles and swimming! Very private for quality family time!

Paradise in the Hill Country

Not sure I can do justice to this great place! The pool is exquisite, the architecture stunning. It’s so well supplied, we were able to cook and enjoy meals with no fuss. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect escape for large family gathering

This was our third time at The Plant and this time we invited extended family from out of town to join us and have a weekend escape. Making meals and relaxing by the pool was how we spent a wonderful weekend enjoying our time away from the hectic city life.

Amazing time at The Plant

How cool it is to stay in a real architectural gem, surrounded by the most beautiful trees and wildflowers. We've had a fantastic time at The Plant in the heart of Texas Hill Country. Highlight of our stay was definitely the nature walk with Jamie and Martha. Their knowledge about fossils, flowers and plants is impressive and they were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay.

Iconic Property

The Plant at Kyle was a memorable new year for us and some friends!This iconic property must be seen in person to fully appreciate it beyond what photos can show. The hosts were great communicators throughout our trip, and super responsive if we needed anything! Kitchen is well stocked for anything you need. Not mentioned in the listing, but since this is a dog friendly home- it’s fenced enough to keep a non wandering dog in (has cattle type gate an ambitous or small dog could get through) and is on a private road.

Perfect in every way

We loved the unique design of the house. It was so great to open up all of the doors onto the huge screened in porch. The pool area was great and the property is beautiful. So private and serene. Also the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO I’ve stayed in. It was a pleasure to cook in. Will definitely recommend and will be back.

Beautiful, serene, perfect for a fun weekend!

We had such a lovely weekend at The Plant. The land is gorgeous, the space is calm and welcoming, and the kitchen was perfect for making breakfast each morning. We even enjoyed using the grill, and got into the pool (even though it was still a little too early in the season!). Thank you to Mark, Martha, and Jamie for answering all our questions and making our weekend perfect.

A truly special place

We loved our visit here. The location is secluded but also a short drive to any necessities. The house itself is a marvel and was a delight to our kids. It was completely comfortable and stocked with all the necessities. The pool is huge and provided hours of fun (as did the hammock and gardens). The house managers are so helpful and responsive. We look forward to returning one day!

Our Retreat was unforgettable, experiencing the natural peace of The Plant at Kyle with a group of wonderful women. An incredible venue you'll never forget

My wife and I just got married at The Plant at Kyle, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The building itself is an incredible space, but combine that with the amenities, the natural setting, and the superb management and The Plant becomes something special. Perfect Spot for a Corporate Retreat!!!

My company used the Plant at Kyle for a two day retreat. The accommodations were superb. We worked hard in the beautiful setting of the hill country. When it was time to take a break we had the beautiful pool and remarkable landscape to enjoy. Plenty of room for breakout sessions. A great mix of communal space and privacy. I would recommend the Plant to any small or mid-sized company looking for a great place to focus, rejuvenate, and work!

the greatest editing area!

We are 2 Swiss artists visiting Texas every year: to us it is the perfect surrounding for 'cleaning our brains' and getting new ideas for our art work. In april 2011 we stayed at the Plant at Kyle - and our work (editing a new video) went on so easily as never before. The Plant is not only a great place for great parties. It is also a great place for concentration, dreaming, being calm...
