The lake was peaceful, although it rained most of the time. The duplex was pretty quiet, you couldnot hear through the walls or hear your neighbors, which was nice.

Amazing lake views

This was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. Lake Waccamaw is very laid back , quiet and peaceful , not a high volume, high traffic tourist area. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing lots of alligators. I wish there was a place to rent a boat or jet ski and a nice coffee shop would be nice

Great quiet getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, nice neighbors, and scenery. The hotness clean and provided all that we needed to fish and soak up the sun. The areas is flat and safe for walking. The town is small and quaint without chain restaurants. It’s a perfect, quiet getaway

Nice property. Description accurate. Could use a little updating. Good location near restaurants, etc. Great view & access to lake. Property manager very responsive & helpful. Was kind enough to mail me a laptop cord I left @ no charge.

More fees than expected attached to final bill

Would’ve stayed in nicer accommodations for the amount we spent on an old place that has not been updated in a very long time. Pictures are faded on walls., knob missing off of closet door, paint job is sloppy like a kid painted -seriously. Encountered a big water roach inside. I have encountered bugs at rentals before but they were always dead ones because the place was being treated regularly. Furniture outdated and low budget.

1. All our fees are disclosed up front, and very comparable with what other properties charge. 2. THE (only one) "faded" picture on the wall is a new picture of the historic Goldston Hotel that was located on this property for many years. The photo that it was reproduced from was faded, but we like it because it portrays an important LKW property that many who visited recall with fond memories. 3. All the closet doors have knobs. 4. The property is treated on a regular basis by Dodson Pest Control. Their business card is posted on the refrigerator with the other property information. If you've ever been to LKW (or anywhere for that matter), you'd know there is no way I can guarantee you won't have a bug in your unit. You should see it during Mayfly season...or when the "Midges" arrive. We never heard from the tenants about this matter...if we had, we would have given them the option of having the exterminators come and spray that day.
