The dream of Provence in 1700th with beautiful view

The house is beautifully situated on a hill in the characteristic village of Cotignac with a south facing position without transparency and overlooking the village, valleys and mountains. Five minutes walk to the village with shops and restaurants.

- House -
The house is 120 sqm, charmingly decorated, and consists of 3 double bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, dining room with fireplace, bathroom and kitchen.

- Santa Claus -
The south-facing and sunny plot consists of beautiful terraces on different levels. A smaller pool is there to cool off during the hot summer days, numerous small seating on the plot and beautiful plants to look at as vines, roses and lavender.

Since the house has stairs and the plot is on several levels, it is not recommended for wheelchair users.

The house is private and not overlooked in the village about five minutes walk to the church and the idyllic main street with beautiful plane trees flanked with small boutiques, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Free parking at Cotignac cemetery.

Smoking is not permitted.

The photos do not lie - the view from the multi-tiered terrace is truly stunning and we spent many evenings watching the murmurations swoop over the valley below. We also thoroughly enjoyed the plunge pool which was the perfect way to cool off after driving around the Var. That said, the long steep walk up to the property from the public car park is not suitable for everyone and a squeeze for larger vehicles.

Beautiful house, stunning views

One of our party described this as the best holiday house she had ever been in. It's a classic French property, tasteful and comfortable throughout, but the views are what make it. It even has a classy version of an infinity pool. We loved Cotignac, and certainly hope to come back.

Amazing views !

Beautiful house in stunning village. Plenty of outdoor space to the enjoy the stunning views from. Efficient and friendly communications from owners local agent. Take note there is a steep walk up to the house from the car park but we are in our sixties and it was not a problem to us but would not be suitable for push chairs or the infirm. We had a fantastic stay.

Spectacular views but difficult access

House situated on high point of cliff offering amazing views of Cotignac. Although parking is available near the cemetery, it is approximately 200 m down a windy and in areas unkept and treacherous paths. There is no vehicle access to the house making arrival and departure with luggage extremely difficult. During our stay, which was in high temperatures, it made carrying shopping up the unmade path and dangerous steps a real chore. Although there is a mention in the description of the property being unsuitable for wheelchairs due to the house being on several levels, there is no mention of the difficult access. We will be visiting this beautiful village again but never at this property.

Wunderschönes Haus

Wunderschönes Haus, zentral gelegen doch trotzdem ruhig und nicht einsehbarer Garten. Nur Erreichbarkeit etwas schwierig: Auto muss im Städtchen geparkt werden, Gepäck, Einkäufe etc, müssen ansteigende Gassen mit Treppen hochgetragen werden.

Ja, es benötigt einen 5 minütigen Aufstieg um zu diesem Juwel von Unterkunft zu gelangen, aber jeder Meter und jede Stufe ist es absolut wert. Das Grundstück, der Ausblick, Haus und Garten sind nahe an der Perfektion. Die Einrichtung ist authentisch und liebevoll, die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich gut! Es fehlte wirklich an nichts. Großartig! Nach schon besagtem Weg zu Dorf gibt es dort alles was benötigt wird (Bäcker, Einkaufen, Bars, Restraurants etc). Cotignac selber ist klein, aber wunderschön (und tut auch permanent einiges dafür und lebt nicht nur von seiner Historie). Es gibt oft kleine Events und Märkte und dennoch ist es nirgends hektisch, sondern angenehm ruhig. Ein Traum in der Provence. Wir (3 Personen) hatten einen ganz besonders tollen Aufenthalt!

Fabulous villa - fantastic view!

Absolutely loved our stay in the village of Cotignac, great to walk down from the villa to the amazing restaurants, markets, and shops. The walk from the parking lot in the village up to the villa wouldn't work for everyone but we had no problem with it. Pack light, carry things up on each trip; all good. The plunge pool was perfect after a morning hike, the outdoor dining area was the best... great views, very comfortable.

stunning place and a wonderful village

what a property and location Cotignac is a magically french village full of shops , restaurants and bars what a find …. the property did not disappoint, well appointed and the views to die for ! … the host was fantastic and really helped … however it is a long walk up to the property with no car access …. it is explained that you park at the cementary but not that you couldn’t use the car to drop of cases ! … doesn’t ruin the holiday at all but good to know :)

Der Traum in der Provence

Wir sind wirklich froh, dieses schöne Haus gemietet zu haben. Liebevoll und komplett ausgestattet liegt es über dem lebendigen Dorf Cotignac, wo es wirklich alles gibt, was man für einen Provence-Urlaub braucht. Von der Ruhe ins gemächliche Getümmel sind es 5-10 Minuten den Berg hinab. Das Auto bleibt auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz im Dorf. Der Pool ist klein, wird gut gepflegt und ist eine perfekte Erfrischung an heißen Tagen. Auch im Haus ist alles gepflegt und sauber. Wir waren sehr glücklich dort und können den Aufenthalt nur empfehlen.

Magnifique endroit

La maison est magnifique et la terrasse permet de manger avec une vue à couper le souffle. La piscine même si elle était petite était la bienvenue au vu de la chaleur. Le village est un très joli village. L'emplacement n'est pas très éloigné des gorges du Verdon. J'espère que nous pourrons y revenir. Claire

beaucoup de charme

Maison ayant beaucoup de charme, jardin avec vue magnifique, piscine de taille suffisante, avec accès au centre du village en quelques minutes à pieds, malheureusement 3e chambre non disponible à notre arrivée, et équipement de cuisine avec plaques de cuisson indisponibles, bonne réactivité de Nicole et du propriétaire avec plaques électriques achetées dans les 24h. Accès à la maison sans doute un peu difficile pour personnes à mobilité réduite (environ 200 m à pieds et en petite montée depuis le parking, avec quelques escaliers) mais cela ne nous a pas gêné. Sans les petits désagréments à notre arrivée nous aurions mis 5 *.

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday

We spend a week in this fantastic property and had a most wonderful time. The house is amazing and the patio overlooking the village is fantastic; starting the day outside with fresh croissants from the bakery close by was delicious and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Everything you can ask for is provided and we felt very welcome.

Le paradis!

Il n'y a pas vraiment de mots pour décrire cet endroit... Magique, magnifique....une vue superbe sur le joli village de cotignac. La maison est pleine de charme, les différentes terrasses en escaliers, les chambres spacieuses, la piscine.....tout nous a conquis dans ce lieu! Nicole et Edmond qui s'occupent de notre accueil et de la piscine sont charmants, le village est magnifique et les commerçants très sympas. La maison est au calme mais à deux minutes du village et toutes ses commodités, c'est juste parfait! Bref nous avons adoré ces deux semaines où nous nous sommes tt de suite sentis à l'aise dans cet endroit paisible. Nous étions 3 adultes et un enfant de 5 ans qui a lui aussi apprécié la maison, la piscine, la vue, le village..... Tellement fans que nous souhaitons revenir l'année prochaine! Beautiful Property, Stunning Views!

A truly gorgeous property, in an exceptionally unique location. My husband and I have stayed in Cotignac before in more traditional farmhouses but this property has the wow factor of the views and setting and they really are amazing! On the downside the house is quite difficult to get to especially if you have a lot of luggage and the small splash pool although very welcome on an exceptionally hot day is very cold otherwise. Other than than perfect! The house is beautiful and very clean. Nicole, the housekeeper was extremely helpful, friendly and truly lovely. The winding walk down to the town center is also magical and beautiful.

un dépaysement total

Une maison nichée sur une haute colline où la vue récompense l'effort. Sans doute l'une des plus belles vues de Cotignac et de sa vallée. Un petit havre de paix reposant et une piscine bien agréable pour se rafraîchir. La maison est propre, pleine de charme et fonctionnelle. Seul bémol : L'accès. Avec des enfants en bas âge il n'est pas aisé de parvenir à la maison et une fois sur place il faut redoubler de vigilance car les pentes abruptes non sécurisées sont très dangereuses avec des petits. Mais c'est aussi ce qui fait le charme du lieu. Et que dire de l'accueil? Un régal!! nous avons rencontré des personnes souriantes et agréables dans ce village possédant toutes les commodités nécessaires. Une belle location, typique et dépaysante.
