Year round fun awaits at Bernese's Bungalow! This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is located in the lower half of Tahoe Donner, only 10 minutes from downtown Truckee and Donner Lake, and 20 minutes to all major ski resorts and north Lake Tahoe.

Enter the home through the front door and mud room into the main living space. The great room area offers two sitting areas; one centered around the gas fireplace and another around the flat screen tv with a dvd player and streaming device. Other highlights include updated hardwood floors, a remodeled kitchen and dining for 6. A back door from the dining space leads to a large a sunny deck, equipped with a gas bbq and outdoor furniture (summer only for the deck). Down the hall on the main floor, a shared bath with bathtub/shower combo and a bedroom are offered. The bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, desk and full size closet.

Upstairs you'll find the main bedroom floor and additional bathroom. One king and one queen bedroom both offer lots of windows and are on opposite ends of the floor. In the middle of the floor is the shared bath with bathtub/shower combo and double vanity sinks, and a spacious bunk room with two twin bunks and plenty of floor space for kids to hang out.
The garage fits one subaru or similar size vehicle, and you can access the home with the key pad for easy access during storms.

Bernese's Bungalow is located in Tahoe Donner, the prime vacation rental community in Truckee. This property is 5 minutes to The Trout Creek Recreation Center-where guests can enjoy spas, a year round pool, gym, fitness classes, and summer beach access for $24 per adult and $10 for ages 3-6. Six guests may use the facilities at a time. The hot tub and pool amenities listed for this home are shared at the recreation center.

Also 5 minutes away is the Golf center and range, "The Lodge" restaurant and pub and "Z Market Place"; which sells beer, wine, liquor, breakfast, lunch and dinner deli items, along with convenience items for mountain living. Several other recreation options are available just a few minutes drive away, including a private beach and marina on Donner Lake (summer only), tennis courts and the Alder Creek Adventure Center; offering mt. biking, hiking and an equestrian center in the summer and cross country and skate ski areas in the winter. Tahoe Donner downhill ski resort is a perfect choice for families skiing with young ones or those new to the hill.

Truckee downtown is just 10 minutes away, offering a variety of shops and restaurants. Northstar, Sugarbowl, Squaw, Alpine Meadows and Boreal Mountain are all 15-20 minutes drive away, Donner Lake is a 10 minute drive and the north shore of Lake Tahoe is a 20 minute drive.

There is no AC in this home. To keep the property cool, open the windows and sliders at night to let cool air in, then close the windows, doors and blinds when you leave for the day.

For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try to accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
