Updated nice Pet Friendly Wonderful pool and lagoon views with updated luxury 2 BR condo at Anchorage in Shelter Cove. Enjoy all the great restaurants and shops in Shelter Cove with fireworks on Tuesdays in the summer. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to prepare meals or snacks for the family. King bed with en suite full bath and guest room has queen and a twin bed with full bath in the hallway. Living room has fold out couch so condo can sleep six people comfortably. Beach access thru Palmetto Dunes via your car, bike or you can take the shuttle that runs from Shelter Cove. Your vacation rental includes bike rentals and beach gear with your stay. 7417 Anchorage is professionally managed and operated by Hilton Head Vacations, Inc, a locally owned company. Pets under 50 pounds are allowed, one pet is $175 and two pets are $295

Shelter Cove has many restaurants like San Miguels Mexican Cafe overlooking the harbour with nightly entertainment. Elas Grille is an upscale restaurant featuring great seafood and steaks. Buccis is a local waterfront sports bar and Scotts Fish market has great seafood. The Bagle shop can fill your breakfast needs too. Kroger and Belk are only a minute away in the Shelter Cove Town Centre and another six restaurants are in that area.

Great summer vacation

We loved our stay at The Anchorage at Shelter Cove. Just a short walk from shopping and restaurants, the location at the Marina offer beautiful views with endless things to enjoy. Loved our beautifully decorated beach condo that had a great view of the lagoons and pool!

Great time with family

The place was very clean and close to a number of activities located in Shelter Cove. We enjoyed the fact that is was in a private area which was nice at night. We expect to stay there again on our next trip to Hilton Head.

Awesome location, loved that we could walk to the shops and eateries at the marina. Great proximity to and view of the pool. Very easy to pick up check-in packet. Would love to stay at this location again in the future.

Shelter Cove Condo Stay

Condo was as described. Great end unit with nice patio. Location is central to all HHI activities and even a day trip to Savannah. We appreciated the abundance of fresh towels, toiletries, and kitchen starter.Beds were very comfortable. We liked our own covered parking space with room for rental bikes.Would highly recommend!

Unit worked well for our needs. Clean comfortable and quiet. Booking and check out process was smooth. Covered parking spot was nice given rain durning stay. Did not encounter any issues and would stay here again in the future.

Great Spring Getaway

Nice, clean & quiet accommodations within walking distance of the marina restaurants & shops. Pleasant beach-y decor. Complete with necessary condo items - internet, fully outfitted kitchen, etc. The pool was heated & clean, the hot tub wasn’t working, but the unit had a whirlpool tub if you wanted it. Great experience with checking in & out. We’ve already booked a return visit in the fall.

Perfect location for quiet days and close to activities at night

Clean, well equipped condo in the absolute perfect location for us. We used the pool everyday which was only steps away. Loved walking to dinner at Ela's and San Miguel's, Top Dawg and Scott's Fish Market. Shopping is great. Tuesday fireworks visible right outside our door! Met several residents in the complex and all were very nice. We will be back.

Hilton Head getaway

We enjoyed our stay in Shelter Cove. Choosing a VRBO over a hotel allowed us more space and easy access to everything. Walking distance to restaurants. We rented bikes and rode to the beach. Our grown kids were able to visit for a couple of days as well. Quality family time. We would love to go back.

Great location, nice pool, but needs some attention

We are 30 year visitors to Hilton head Island. In that time we stayed at a number of VRBO properties. Normally, we stay in the sea Pines area but were looking for a different experience on the Island. First let’s cover the positives. The shelter Cove area does not disappoint. It was very nice being able to walk conveniently to the marina, restaurants and retail shopping. It’s also a short bike to the newer part of Shelter Cove, which has several boutiques and dining options. This unit is a wonderful location with covered parking, a view of the pool, and includes access to Palmetto Dunes for visits to the beach. There is plenty a room in this unit with two full baths and a full kitchen and laundry. The pool area is very nice with plenty of seating. It also has a covered seating area with a full size fridge, and restrooms. During our September visit we had this area mostly to ourselves. Talking to a few neighbors, it appears that most of these units are full time occupants. While this unit has a lot to offer there are definitely some things that need attention. Upon arrival we did a preliminary inspection of the property, as we always do. Right away we noticed several things that were needing attention. The sheets on the master bed had several hairs on the pillowcases, and the fan in the living room was caked in dust, and doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in several months. We immediately contacted the property manager. They informed us that the house cleaning services were completed for the day that they cannot bring us fresh sheets until the following day. So we began our vacation by doing laundry. The management team should seriously consider replacing the sheets as they were the most worn sheets I’ve ever experienced in my stay at a VRBO property. Even after laundering they were severely worn and frayed. Unfortunately, we never received the promised fresh sheets or attention to the other issue that we had mentioned. Obviously these units were built in the 80s and this one hasn’t received a significant update since then. The paint is long past due. The carpeting in the unit was extremely worn and in need of replacement. The furniture is mismatched and crowded. The main sofa is long past due for replacement. Again, our overall experience was nice, as we love the area, convenience to the pool, and even a manageable bike ride to the beach. Still, the issues mentioned along with the lack of follow up from management was disappointing.
