With a four day weekend and fall upon us we decided to go to PEI for the first time. Moving from Georgia to Maine four years ago we were yearning for a new adventures. With times as they are it wasn't possible to explore as we would have liked. Since the borders are open again we are making up for lost time.
From the first time I reached out Ellen was very responsive. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the ease of accessing the property (contactless check-in) and how immaculate it was. Truly the cleanest property we have ever experienced!
Traveling with a teenage son and a pre-teen daughter the layout of the home worked perfectly. Each bedroom was bright and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the linens were luxurious. I have mobility challenges and although this is a three level older home, the stairs are not too narrow and the handrails were the most secure I have ever encountered- extremely solid. The house is well stocked in the kitchen/bed/baths. Being so close to all things wonderful in Charlottetown, it was very quiet and peaceful. The home is walking distance to all the downtown eateries, coffee shops, and shopping. We enjoyed our stay very much. It really does not get much better than this.
If I was asked, is there anything you would have liked to see that you didn't, I have a couple non-deal breaker niceties.
1. There is a Keurig machine . Leaving two pods for the first morning cup would be lovely. Our travels took us a lot longer than expected so we arrived late. We thought it would be OK for breakfast and coffee the next morning with so many coffee shops and restaurants nearby. It was Remembrance Day and all we tried were closed.
2. A small (one day) toiletry set of shampoo, conditioner, and shower soap would have been appreciated. (We greatly appreciated the liquid hand soap in all three bathrooms and hand sanitizer at the front door).
We loved every second of our stay. If you can book it- you really should. I know if Ellen will have us, we will be back. Thank you for being a wonderful host and allowing our family to share your home for our first PEI adventure.
