Great place for couples

Clean, quiet, cozy place just outside of Reykjavik. All necessary appliances and cookware are available. Beautiful views of mountains and the ocean,thermal footbath,great restaurant, bakery and ice cream shop all within walking distance. Siggi and Nanna were very friendly and helpful. An upstairs apartment in a quiet location. Very clean. Friendly hosts. Great shower. It's in a residential area, but there's a business building in front of it and we drove past it the first time. Lighthouse and area to view the Northern Lights are close by.

The studio apartment was a perfect home away from home. There was plenty of space and we found the bed very comfortable. We found an excellent place to eat fairly close to the city center. The apartment is a perfect location to launch your day to the Golden Circle, a day in the city, or any number of day trips and hikes. Siggi and Nanna are friendly and accommodating.

Great location close to grotto lighthouse - 20 min bus ride to Reykavik

Lovely little studio apartment. Very warm. Has all that you need for self catering. Value for money. Close to swimming pool with hot tubs, steam room and plunge pools (hot tub not in apartments which is what I’d thought initially). 2 minute walk from bus stop - reaching Reykjavík in 20 mins. Siggi and Nanna are great hosts and very accommodating. There to offer advice or answer any questions. Recommend.

Northern lights

Siggi and Nanna were great hosts. Northern lights can be seen easily about 1km from their house. House is set back from street and there is another house (it may be a business) on the same driveway. Home is about 6 km from downtown Reyk (very convenient if you have a car . Many sights, activities and restaurants in the area Highly recommended location to call your base camp

We went to Iceland with the goal of seeing the Northern Lights, Siggi's place was absolutely the right place to stay. We were able to walk or drive a short distance to get away from the city lights and easily view the Northern lights which did not disappoint us. Siggi even alerted us when they were out. Siggi and Nanna were fantastic hosts -freindly and helpful. It is easy to get into Reykjavik from the apartment. We had a car, but there is also a bus route with a nearby stop. If I make it back to Iceland, Siggi and Nanna's place will definitely be our landing spot.

Cozy temporary home base for our Iceland adventures

We liked it here a lot. The Apartment is close to the sea in a quiet neighbourhood yet you can get easily to central Reykjavik with car or bus (or take a long walk by the sea). There is all neccessairy equipment in Kitchen and bathroom and you can wash and dry clothes in a room in the basement. Everything in the apartment was really clean. The host is really friendly and helpful e.g. with food recommendations or questions about road conditions. We got a message or a knock at the door when there were nothern lights 😀.

Why they chose this property

I built it my self. And since the kids has moved from the nest, me and my wife Nanna have plenty of room.

What makes this property unique

There is not crowded here, in a small villa quarter, where there is 2-300 meters to the beach, north and south. To vest (300 m) is protected area, with various kinds of birds. And if you walk to east, the center of Reykjavik is 4,7 km.
