About this property

Right on the Moose River. Ride to all snowmobile trails. Rustic, family friendly, and walking distance to everything in Old Forge. Three bedrooms, two upstairs and one down. There is a back yard fire pit with chairs. Firewood can be purchased at many places locally.There will soon be a dock and there are stairs to both the firepit and the river. Rent Kayaks/canoes at Mountainman Outdoor Supply Co. Rte 28. The two TVs have Amazon firesticks. No central air conditioning but there are fans and a portable window air conditioning unit on the first floor. There is a charcoal grill on the back patio in the summer. There are grab bars installed in the shower. There is a bath seat for the shower in one of the cupboards in the dining room if you should need one. The winter driveway is 50" x 12.5 ' with 2 additional parking spaces in front of the house. Please check the calendar for available dates. There is a washer and dryer in the basement. Lots of unique stores in town to explore, hiking, swimming at the Old Forge Beach, the Strand Theater in town with four first run movies, lots of restaurants to enjoy, The View Art Center, Enchanted Forest and Waterpark (voted one of the best in the country), McCauley Mountain skiing in the winter, chairlift rides in summer and Autumn. There is Christmas in the Forge on Thanksgiving weekend with stores open, a Santa parade, reindeer for the kids, and sleigh rides in town. The shopkeepers have treats in the stores and the whole town shows up for the lighting of the Christmas tree in town. In the Adirondack area: Blue Mountain Museum , The Wild Center, and lots of other attractions to enjoy. Please be honest regarding how many people will be in your group. I need that information to adequately prepare for your arrival and to inform the cleaning crew so they will know how many people will be required to clean after your departure.

Nice camp in town on moose river

Well kept and clean, all amenities in place. Nicely decorated Adirondack decor. Owner is responsive and accommodating.

This property over delivers on what’s advertised The host, a very thoughtful with everything from condiments to shampoo to towels, the property was immaculately clean Absolutely would stay there again, close enough to the town center to walk there, but far enough away to avoid all of the hustle and bustle Right on the river and wonderful paddle in any direction for beginners to enjoy the Adirondacks

Cute getaway

Great location, lots of room and sleeping options. House was clean and owner was very responsive. The location was great, very close to town and had a wonderful deck, yard and water access.
