We had a wonderful stay in this cottage in Old Forge. Driveway was plowed so it was easy for us (2 trucks) to park. Cottage was very nice, this was our 2nd stay there. Directions for use of items in the cottage were listed and posted. We look forward to a 3rd stay next year!
The property is great. We were a group of 4 snowmobilers. The home had everything we needed to to make breakfast and dinner, lunch was on the trail. The home was well set up and clean upon our arrival. Parking is minimal, room for 2 trucks or 3 cars, which was not an issue for us as we parked our trailer in the township trailer lot for the week. We hope to return. Thanks for a great stay.
Overall, very happy about the property and it location. Super clean and comfortable. Living area seats 6 adults comfortably in front of a large screen TV.
Charlene was an exceptional host! Her proactive communication and flexibility, especially when we needed to change our dates, were greatly appreciated. The house was impeccably clean and well-appointed. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
Wonderful weekend ! The neighborhood is quiet. It was relaxing sitting on deck with view of moose river. Deer visited each day. The kitchen was stocked with everything that would need and more! Only issue is there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 adults for 4 days and having to remove garbage and take to transfer site. I understand concern for bears. Putting garbage in our vehicles was a concern.
The cabin is weel stock morning.
Loved our stay! Perfect little house for our family of 6. We enjoyed a fire out back and the peaceful scenery with deer frequently visiting! Close to water safari which we visited one day during our trip. Thank you for the lovely experience. We will certainly be back.
Great location, lots of room and sleeping options. House was clean and owner was very responsive. The location was great, very close to town and had a wonderful deck, yard and water access.
Classic and clean little Adirondack house right in the town of Old Forge. We really loved being within walking distance to all the Old Forge shops and restaurants. Quiet and peaceful backyard right on the river. Would definitely come back again.
This was everything we could have hoped for. Clean and cozy getaway within walking distance to most of old forge. Being on the river was an added bonus. Kids spent all their time fishing and off their phones. Definitely will be booking this house again.
This property over delivers on what’s advertised
The host, a very thoughtful with everything from condiments to shampoo to towels, the property was immaculately clean
Absolutely would stay there again, close enough to the town center to walk there, but far enough away to avoid all of the hustle and bustle
Right on the river and wonderful paddle in any direction for beginners to enjoy the Adirondacks
This is a typical Adirondack camp in Old Forge, NY. The interior is charming and well appointed. Location is great to access almost anything in the village of Old Forge.

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Not kid and pet friendly
The very first thing thing that happened was a little black dog was evading it's human... we were told not to try to catch it because it bites! According to the neighbor this is a regular occurrence.
The house is old and the floors squeak- especially the stairs up to the bedrooms! There is a steep, slippery bank to get to the water for kayaking, fishing, playing in the water.
Although we did love the wild deer that walked right up to our picnic table, I was concerned my dogs would run after it so I had to keep them leashed. :(
