We had such a wonderful stay! The home was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed: cozy, homey, and full of Adirondack charm. We loved exploring the Old Forge, soaking in the gorgeous fall foliage, and heading out for easy walks right from the house. It all gave us a true feel for Adirondack life and made for the perfect autumn getaway!

Perfect 4th of July weekend

The cabin was adorable and the perfect size for me, my husband, his brother and his brother's wife. The location was close to town, but felt like you were in the woods. We spent alot of time on the front porch watching for wildlife.

Great, clean Adirondack home with a fantastic location.

Beautiful home on a quiet street. Brian was quick to respond to any messages. Check in process was simple and easy and the caretakers (Scott and Melissa) also shared their knowledge of the area. The home had everything we needed and was well kept.

Wonderful cabin for a family vacation

We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. We really appreciated the help from Melissa and Scott, the caretakers--they are wonderful. The cabin was clean and charming and provided more than enough relaxing space for us. My daughters enjoyed sleeping in the loft, playing foosball, and seeing deer in the backyard and a bear across the street. The location was very convenient to the grocery store and restaurants in Old Forge. Would love to stay here again.

The cabin and location was perfect for what we were looking for. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed and more. The road is quiet and great for kids, we enjoyed the fire place every night we were there despite some spotty weather. The only thing that we didn’t love was that we have never stayed somewhere outside of a hotel/resort where there is staff 24/7 where we had to meet someone at check in. It wouldn’t make me not want to stay there again it’s just for our careers and family dynamic it was difficult for us to give a set time of arrival to meet someone until we were making the 2.5-3 hr drive. It worked out fine that one of us was able to make it there and meet the property manger to get our keys. It was odd though that once we received the keys we were told no worries on locking the property when we were in and out which seemed silly as to why we needed to meet someone for check in. Aside from the odd check in everything else was amazing.

Excellent Property!

This was the second time my family and I stayed at this property. Our favorite part about this home is how it really gives the Adirondack feel compared to other properties. Both times we’ve stayed at this property it’s been clean upon arrival and the property managers are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, 5 minute drive to town, but also definitely walkable. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Old Forge!

My family had a fantastic stay at the Spruce Moose! The house was charming and clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, there were fun games for rainy days, and there were thoughtful touches in every room to make the stay comfortable and convenient. The location is a quiet setting on a friendly street, private but still near lots of great attractions like hiking and the water park. We enjoyed seeing wildlife in the yard from the sunroom and spent time relaxing on the lovely front porch. Communication with the owner and property manager was great every step of the way. We can’t recommend this enough.

Great vacation spot

This cabin is beautiful! It has all the amenities needed for a convenient vacation. The property is beautiful and allowed us to have bonfires every evening (except for one rainy night). Our kids loved riding their bikes and scooters up and down the driveway, playing in the front yard, on the porch and were comfortable inside as well. This property is close enough to everything to be convenient, but far away enough to feel secluded. Lots of wildlife and quiet. The property managers, Melissa and Scott were helpful and friendly and offered their services at any time if needed. Highly recommend!

Love this place!

This was our 3rd time staying here and it never disappoints! We love the open living space, the kitchen is well-appointed and has everything you need for cooking and even baking. We love sitting on the covered front porch, making a fire in the fire pit and having s’mores. The gas grill is a fantastic new addition. The home is always clean. We just love spending our long weekends in the ADK here. The owner, Brian, is very quick to respond and the caretakers, Melissa and Scott, are super friendly and always check in prior to arrival as well as upon Checkin for anything needed. We will be back next year!!
