Cozy Getaway

Overall, my family and I loved staying at the Bear Den. It was only 3-4 minutes from town and had all the amenities we were looking for. The house was very clean and spacious, which was great for our family of 7. The host was also very responsive when we had questions which made for a great experience.

Very comfortable and convenient place. Good communication with the owner. Plenty of space for our family group and easy commute to Old Forge and other local attractions. Rhiannon was very clear about requirements to launder sheets and towels and clean up after ourselves.

Historic train station a quick walk from the house.

We chose this neighborhood because it’s a place that means a lot to our family. Our grandparents bought a place here back in the 1960s, and we grew up spending time in the area making memories on the lakes, trails, and in town. As we got older, we decided to purchase a home of our own here so we could share the place we love with others and give guests the opportunity to create their own Adirondack memories.

Why they chose this property

We love this neighborhood because it offers the perfect mix of peace and convenience. It’s a quiet and relaxing area, but still just minutes from downtown Old Forge, restaurants, shops, and year-round outdoor activities. Whether you’re here for the lakes, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, or simply relaxing in the Adirondacks, everything is close by and easy to get to. And being right on the doorstep of our favorite golf course in the world doesn’t hurt either.

What makes this property unique

Our property offers a comfortable Adirondack stay with plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. Guests enjoy easy access to Old Forge and the surrounding attractions while still having a quiet place to unwind. With convenient parking, a private backyard, garage access, and proximity to local favorites like Thendara Golf Club and the Adirondack Scenic Railroad, it’s a great home base for experiencing everything the Adirondacks have to offer year-round.
