About this property

1860’s Restored Farmhouse with BEST views of Cayuga.

Situated on 92 acres of farmland, this 3,800 sq ft home boasts unparalleled views of Cayuga Lake and the surrounding landscape. As you pull up the driveway, you are greeted with a 24 acre crop field to your left and 2 large barns on your right, one of which dates back to the mid/late 1800s and the other build in 2020.

The outside of the house offers a large east facing deck that is perfect for a morning cup of coffee or an evening cookout with the family on the new Weber grill. A fire pit is located just off the deck with 12 Adirondack chairs. Plenty of open space for the family to run around and play or relax while playing some yard games (Cornhole, Volleyball/badminton and CanJam are available).

Inside is where the charm of this old farmhouse shines while the recently updated kitchen (including all new GE Cafe appliances) and bathrooms bring new life to this house. A full sized dining room allows guests to enjoy meals with the entire party, while the family room, living room and the study allow some separation if needed. Two staircases grant access to the upstairs where there are 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. All mattresses are brand new and are covered by down-alternative comforters and Pendleton wool blankets (Each room is named after a US National Park and incorporates the matching Pendleton wool print). A common room upstairs is perfect for the kids to enjoy a slumber party together or close the doors and you have 2 separate and private upstairs spaces (bedroom #1, #2, #3 and 1 bathroom on one side with bedroom #4, #5 and 1 bathroom on the other).

My wife and I, along with our 3 little kids, are excited to share our house with everyone. We purchased this house to have a retreat to go to in order to escape the daily grind of our hectic lives. We have been traveling to Trumansburg to visit family for years now and have fallen in love with the town and the people.

Why they chose this property

Every time we drive up the driveway and get that first glimpse of Cayuga Lake, my wife and I are overcome by a relaxing sensation followed quickly by a rush of energy that makes both of us want nothing more than to just be outside with our kids.
We could have purchased something on the water but not only did we want the views of the lake, we wanted the outdoor space where our kids can safely run around and be kids. And with the state park just over a mile away, we have all the water access we need to launch a boat or canoe, or to take a dip on those hot summer days.

What makes this property unique

Unparalleled views of Cayuga Lake.
Flat yard around house to enjoy outdoor activities.
Century old house and barns
