This is the perfect location, directly on Cheyenne Creek with overlooking views of Cheyenne Canyon's beauty. Experience the charming nature the Canyon as deer come down everyday to say hello! Fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of Cheyenne Creek flowing right outside your window and front deck! This romantic bungalow is truly a hidden treasure perfect for those looking for a private, cozy escape that is also a five minute walk from the world famous Broadmoor. This hideaway is located on the upper level, giving it breathtaking views of the creek and canyon (all guests must be able to climb a short set of stairs up one story).

The layout is a studio-like open concept, and bedroom is not enclosed. Beautiful spacious updated kitchen, living room with a sleeper sofa, and queen bed. Enjoy a new 45” TV with DVD player and a sleeper sofa with an upgraded memory foam mattress! Kitchen has just about everything you could want--Belgian Waffle Maker, Spice Rack, Coffee Pot, Crock Pot...just to name a few things.

From your secluded and peaceful bungalow, you can walk to the Broadmoor for fine dining and a romantic walk through the beautiful area. Creekside peace

A perfect little place to stay in the canopy of trees above the creek just at the base of the Cheyenne mountain. So well situated, quiet and well equipped for a week's stay.Our host was a great communicator and apartment is easy to access.

Creekside getaway

Property is exactly as described. One room second story bungalow with a deck overlooking a rushing creek. We found it to be very clean, comfortable, and simple. The location was very convenient, easy to access and close to Pikes Peak activities. The host is very easy to communicate with and responds promptly. We would definitely stay there in the future if we return to Colorado Springs.

Wonderful

A perfect location! We had planned to visit the Cheyenne Mtn Zoo the day after our arrival. We enjoyed a nice walk to the Broadmoor Hotel after our check in & discovered lots of hiking trails close by.Will definitely come & stay again.

This host is so on point with responses and the sound of the creek is so soothing; not to mention how close you are to some gorgeous scenic areas. My s/o had never visited Colorado before and staying here has him ready to leave and move out here

It is beautiful and probably very pleasant in the winter. No A/C very warm inside. At 11:15pm it was 65 outside and 78 inside.Front door does not lock from the inside and you are required to leave the key to the room in a lockbox right next to the door.Small complaint, the TV volume is locked very low. Also, very dusty inside.

AWESOME PLACE AND GREAT HOST

Great location and so close (less than 2 mins drive) from Broadmoor Resort. I saved about $1250 over 5 nights versus staying at BM for a convention. I actually feel like I walked less than if I stayed at the resort due to the free valet parking at both main entrances at Broadmoor. Dustin responded within minutes everytime I had a question or a concern. I will stay here again if available the next time I am in CO Springs !!

The front Door would not lock- we left

The front door was a slider and would not lock. We didn’t feel safe so we were only there an hour. Cobwebs lined the stairs leading to the door. Loud AC off and on.

Nice but needs work

With a little investment this could be wonderful place. Had a few small issues, TV wouldn't work, outlet hanging out of wall... Not enough dishes, 2 plates, two forks. All in all we would give it another chance.

Honeymoon at the Bungalow

We stayed in this adorable little bungalow during the last week of August for our honeymoon. It was the perfect fit for the type of adventure that we were wanting - a great kitchen and a cozy place to spend our evenings winding down from mountainside adventures. You could literally hear the creek running below day and night, which was awesome. I enjoyed multiple sunrises from the balcony as well. More than anything, it was accessible. 15 minutes from Manitou with access to Pikes Peak, as well a several other great trails literally minutes away. We enjoyed it so much, that we wound up staying an extra day.

The cabin was hot (100+),stuffy and smelled of d smelled of mildew. The was no AC

We requested protocols for picking up key , address etc. Prior to checking in and received a list of renters responsibilities at 4:30 after renters arrival Description of property was deceptive. There was no AC, it was located in a neighborhood where window could be safely raised

False Advertisment

From check in night to the last day there were difficulties. We arrived to a hot (roll around air conditioning)to being off, toe nail clippings on the ground, bugs in cookware, Goodwill sheets and mattress stains, mildew smelling 70's shower curtain and terrible communication. New sheets were brought over, cleaning service (she was very professional )arrived and helped and brought in a new blanket and some towels. There wasn't anything to wash dishes with or an extra trash bag and we are so glad we brought our own pillows! We had to buy supplies while were were out to finish our stay. We tried to get moved but the owner wouldn't release us. No refunds or help to move to another property. Our only help was Vrbo and their assistance to get the owner on the phone and try and help. It was a gorgeous view of the creek (water) but that is the only thing that was correctly advertised on the listing. Cobwebs, dirt and so much more. It was very disappointing and it was an Anniversary trip. We have never complained or had a bad booking until now. On the next to the last day we were even notified we needed to be out because someone else book it . We had to spend another hour dealing with that. We were the ones that had booked it for five nights and four days. All in all the city was good and our adventures were great. I hope no one else has to go through this.

Do not rent this property!

THIS PROPERTY SHOULD NOT BE FOR RENT on VRBO. The property owner has no idea what to do! We had to park in a dirt/muddy side in the bushes and try to step up the hand placed landscape pavers he calls steps!! It is dark, dank, 3 stories high in the trees, no view and bushy exterior. Interior is old, garage sale furniture, old bamboo blinds were shredded and broken, no privacy or light blocking from the 15 spotlights across the creek. The bed was so smelly with old pillows and covers we had to use our own blanket and we left early the next morning. The kitchen faucet needs repair, won’t shut off. The small closet is filled with “stuff” and door is broken! The creek , once you can get to it say “no trespassing”! I could not get into the bed on the side, had to crawl over! There is no bedroom; bed in the living area. Too much furniture for small space. The interior is very dark and the lighting is spotlights on a track. The tv streaming is so slow, you have to read the captions as the voices are behind the picture. Again, there is NO view except for tree limbs, many broken and dead, and the horrible neighbor shack and clutter across the creek- and the neighbor who hangs out watching you! Lastly……you will NEVER RECEIVE A REFUND!

Extremely Misleading!

I guess VRBO does not double check there listings. This is Literally a room above a garage. It is set above a double duplex. The initial pic they show looks like a nice cabin. You are on the second floor. No way to walk down to the creek and very insecure. We arrived an hour early...didnt take into time zone factor, but was told we had to wait for cleaning crew. Ya, they missed this address. Then we were not left "check in" instructions till after 6 hours on the road. We had a 9 hour drive. No anything an in bed by 8pm? There are only a couple window's which look out upon a whole neighborhood. Very uncomfortable. That is your view. They see you the whole time. The "Loft, Bungalow" was very tiny. You can not walk between the "breakfast bar and couch" without walking sideways. There' is no "room" and Defiantly No room for 4 . The couch is an old stained piece of furniture. The bed "Thank goodness I always bring my own bedding," had many stains on the mattress. I took pics from the time we got there to when we left. It was so disc gusting. I paid less than half of what they are charging now because I paid months ago during covid and thought a reduction in price because of Covid. I reserved this again for mine and husbands anniversary. I paid less than half what they are asking for now. You cant even lay on the bed (NOT A QUEEN!) without the "fireplace" getting in the way. Who would even start a fire in that tiny room? Good Luck! The bathroom is Extremely small! you have to walk in sideways. When the "vent kicked on" I automatically got very sick. There were white hairs (cat) and the dust was intolerable. There is no privacy, windows, only facing neighbors,(the front of their homes) its extremely uncomfortable. You are not by the Creek, unless you look over the second floor railing which is where you stay. We had a stranger walk up and ask for "Erik?" really creepy. you can not keep the shades up, the whole block behind you will see you. Two steps from the bed to the GROSS stained couch, ONE, step from the Kitchen to the STAINED couch, Cant lay in bed and enjoy a show. Cant use the window's because the whole neighborhood see's. I have to assume that the other reviews are friends and family. NO ONE would want to stay here. AGAIN! NO way does it sleep four. There is NO BEDROOM all one small room. I wanted to cook us a nice Anniversary dinner...Refused to use the stove fridge, or microwave. Sad on VRBO's part! GROSS! We just left early. Misleading!

Very basic bungalow--great setting with wildlife

The location of this bungalow was great. We loved sitting on the deck beside the creek. The Q sized bed was comfortable but the sofa bed is really only suitable for one child (the sides are broken near the foot of it). The kitchen is well-equipped with just about everything (except wine glasses).

Excellent Honeymoon Spot!

This was our pre honeymoon get away, and it was beautiful! This is a cozy little studio in an awesome location. If you stay in the winter and use the fireplace, you have to clean the wood stove yourself and take out the trash. But if you stay in summer there is a beautiful creek in the back yard and the open space is a short walk away.
