Shorewood Beach house is located in North Western Minnesota on beautiful Maud Lake, one of the Seven Sisters.
Set back on the property, right on the waters edge, sits this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, walk-out rambler.
ThIs home features two levels of decks (one on the waters edge) and a screen porch, lake side, to enjoy the incredible view, while listening to the call of the loons and enjoying the incredible sunsets.
There are 4 sliding glass doors on the the main level, filling the space with light. Three of the bedrooms, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, and a living room, with a flat screen Tv, are on the main floor.
The lower level has 2 bedrooms. One is a walk thru bedroom to the bathroom. There is a gathering room with Tv, and features a gas fireplace, to chase the chill away when the air becomes crisp.
Plenty of linens blankets and pillows are provided as well. Truly everything you need to relax and enjoy your time with friends & family or to celebrate the holidays.
. An additional screen porch is off the walkout lower level, and is a great space to gather and enjoy the views, without the elements.
There is a detached double garage on the property with ample parking, a campfire spot, and plenty of room for yard games.
Shorewood Beach House has 130 feet of private shoreline and a dock that is conveniently located 1/4 mile from the public access.
The property is 10 miles from Detroit Lakes., near golf courses, 400 miles of snowmobile trails, skiing & biking at Detroit Mountain Resort, We Fest/ Soo Pass Ranch, Maplewood State Park, Sleepy Hollow Flea Market and many of the areas attractions.

There is a septic lift system used in the house. ONLY TOILET PAPER can be flushed. NO TAMPONS OR WIPES! Use trash can for tampons/wipes.

Great lake home

Lisa’s lake home was a great place for our family to meet. There was plenty of room for the eight of us. I’d definitely like to stay here again if we’re in the area.

Great Family Vacation

Had a great trip with our family for a few days to this Maud Lake retreat. Very nice house, excellent accommodations, and great location close to everything you want! We had a great stay and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful lake place to get away. Lisa was a great host and always responsive whenever needed, which wasn’t much for us. Great times…we’d be back!

Everything you need for a lakeside getaway

This was our second stay at Shorewood Beach House and if in the area we would absolutely stay here again. The house is clean, well-maintained, and is stocked with blankets, towels, dishes and cookware, and outdoor amenities. I was very impressed with the starter supply of water, coffee, and basic kitchen items to get our stay off on the right foot. We enjoyed a peaceful family gathering and happily occupied ourselves swimming, fishing, and kayaking during the day. In the evenings we enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck and after-dark balmy nights from the lower-level screened porch. The fire pit was perfect for gathering to toast marshmallows.Our group of 9 slept comfortably and there was plenty of space to gather for games or separate into different spaces for quieter times. Lisa is very responsive when questions come up, and seems to truly want to do everything she can to ensure we have a wonderful stay.

Amazing stay at shorewood beach house

Lisa has been the most gracious host. We stayed for a month at her property and she was always so great about reaching out before coming over to mow or communicating about improvements to the property. We had kids and grandkids throughout our stay with lots of laughs and awesome memories. Lisa refers to it as her happy place and it truly is. One of my grandsons ask my wife if she would take a million dollars to trade this experience and of course her response was “ No Way” ! The sunsets are spectacular, the lake is quiet most of the time and it will ruin your grandkids thinking this is how fishing should be all the time ! Thank you Lisa for letting us share this property for a little while with our family!

Beautiful house right on the lake

Shorewood Beach House is in a perfect location: right at the lake, yet tucked away and in a very quiet neighborhood. It is very spacious (sprawling over two stories), with two family rooms, several dining spaces inside and out, and decks on two levels plus on the dock. The owners have done an exceptional job in furnishing and decorating the whole house with antiques and heirlooms - yet making sure everything is functional. The upper deck provides great views of the lake (and on a still day you can even see the fish in the water). The lower deck is screened in and has cozy leather couches - perfect for a family get-together. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - stem ware, dishes, bowls plenty enough for big groups (and no plastic - which I really appreciated). The beds are very comfortable and everything was very clean. We will definitely be coming back and we recommend it without reservations - the house is a real gem!

First annual family vacation

We had an amazing time at the Shorewood Beach house. The property fit our needs perfectly. There was plenty of room to accomodate 6 adults and four kids under the age of 3. The steps to the dock were a little challenging but we knew that going in and yet spent time on the dock fishing, playing in the water with the lilly pad, and kayaking. The weather was so nice that we never needed to utilize the screened in porch nor the large, lower level family room. The property was fully furnished with everything we needed; it was like being at home. Lisa was an awesome host. Every email/text was answered promptly. Lisa even dropped off a brand new "bags" game our second day which we used a lot and some additional fire wood that my husband requested. We made a lot of special memories thanks to Lisa!

Wonderful Place!

We had 4 adults, 2 couples, stay and this is the perfect set up. The downstairs had easy access to the screened porch, fireplace, living space and 2 bedrooms and a bath. Great for each couple to have their own privacy when wanted. This place is immaculate and is well stocked. Easy communication with Lisa, checking in was easy and easy out. The views are amazing, and we had a great time relaxing, grilling, and fishing. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Lisa, for providing such a wonderful home away from home. We will definitely be returning!

Perfect Family Retreat

The photos don’t do justice to this vacation rental. The property is in great condition and the ‘extra’ amenities are abundant. There were more than enough dishes, blankets, pillows, and towels for our group of 9, and we really enjoyed the many deck chairs, the kayak, and fire pit. The screened porch was a terrific place to get away from the evening mosquitoes but still enjoy the view and summer weather. I was a little concerned about the “pass-through” sleeping area but it was roomier than expected and had a comfortable bed. We all wished we’d booked a longer stay, and hope to make it back some day!

Shorewood review

Very nice property. House is modern, clean and well maintained. Plenty of room for three adult couples and two kids. Both the deck and the screened in porch were utilized by us and we enjoyed them very much. Also used the kayak that was provided. We also had a great time fishing the lake. Probably the only negative was the swimming re was either rocky or weedy. However, my 7-year old grandson still had a great time swimming and playing in the water each day of our stay. Owner was very responsive to any inquiries I made. I would highly recommend this place for a family vacation.

Absolutely gorgeous

We stayed here for our annual family get together and from the moment you enter the home you get a very welcoming feeling, this home is very well laid out and stocked with seriously everything you could possibly need! The dock is awesome we brought our pontoon and used all the water toys available and all of us enjoyed the lake time! The deck view is absolutely gorgeous and we simply can not think of anything wrong! To top it off the host super accommodating and friendly! Definitely will be back!

Relax and Unwind

This was a lovely spot to relax and get in touch with nature. We loved the many views of the lake and the walk down to the waters’ edge. I especially loved the screened in porch where Lisa had furnished a blanket or two to snuggle under when the coolness of evening set in! Lisa was a wonderful host and we truly felt like we were at “a home away from home”! We thoroughly enjoyed Maplewood Park which was only a short distance from the lake house and also dining and exploring the town of Detroit Lakes. Hoping to stay again soon!🦋
