1920s QUIET North Park Casita - Near EVERYTHING!!

In the historical neighborhood of North Park, our 1920s Casita is close to EVERYTHING. Just minutes to beaches, Balboa Park, Petco Park, SDSU Cox Arena, downtown and the Gaslamp District, Coronado, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, the Convention Center and Comic-Con. A wide array of unique restaurants, breweries and shops are just a few short blocks away. Perfect for an evening stroll.

We have a fully-stocked and updated kitchen, washer and dryer, window air conditioners in the bedroom and living room and a mini-split system in the kitchen (central air is not possible in our 100-year old home), free WiFi, two TVS with DirecTV, NFL network AND the NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTubeTV, including a TV on our outdoor patio.

Enjoy a glass of wine under the stars while you BBQ on our propane grill and watch your favorite show. An electric fireplace in the living room adds that special ambience on cold, winter nights. (As in mid-50s, usually. It is San Diego, after all.)

We welcome housebroken and friendly dogs. And little kids, too. Although we have a limit of two each. There is no separate bed for the kids, but the couch is large and offers plenty of space for two mid-to-small sized kids. *Linens provided for couch sleepers.*

Avid environmentalists, we hope you will join us in doing our part to save this world for the next generations. We recycle and watch our water and electricity consumption. It would be much appreciated, but not required, if you would help us out with these efforts.

Sorry, but we don't allow parties or loud noises and music after 9 p.m. This is our home and these are our neighbors and we want to be respectful of them. We really hope you enjoy staying in our home and that you love it as much as we do. It is a pleasure and a privilege to share our home with you.

NOTE: We have a security camera at the front door only. Once you have arrived, please let us know if you would like us to turn it off for the rest of your stay.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove personal items and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Please put dirty towels and linen on floor in front of washer.

Please turn off wall heater, air conditioners, fireplace and split system.

Put compost material in green bin and put emptied compost bucket in dishwasher.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

At the end of your stay, please … (1) Put bed linens and soiled towels on floor in front of washer/dryer. (2) Turn off all A/C units.

(3) Pick up ALL pet waste. Put in trashcan by dog run. Failure to remove ALL pet waste will result in a minimum PENALTY of $50.00.

(4) Put all dirty dishes and compost bucket in dishwasher and start dishwasher. Thank you!

Ive stayed in many air bnbs before but not one that was quite as nice as this one. Every detail in the home was very thought out, warm, inviting and clean. We will make this our permanent house rental in San Diego....you can feel the love in this home and all the amenities went above and beyond

Perfect getaway 10 minutes from San Diego Zoo

Casita felt like home. Perfectly clean, nice quiet neighborhood, extra amenities for our 4 legged friends (dogs only). Wonderful host, very responsive and friendly. Definitely recommend Can’t wait for the next trip to San Diego

Best Place to Stay!

This is a darling home and our stay was terrific. The host couldn’t have tried harder to make our stay memorable. We are so happy we stayed here. The location is great with many restaurants and markets nearby. This was a perfect place to spend our last few weeks vacationing in SD.

Wonderful location and neighborhood. The host went out of their way to make the place fully accommodating to my senior dog. Great kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom, everything available I could ever need in the house.

Perfecto!

This is the perfect San Diego getaway for a couple and their dog. A lovely, well maintained and clean home that is pet friendly, comfortable and has great location. We love this neighborhood as it is walkable with several great coffee shops and restaurants. The hosts, Amy & Elicia, are very friendly and made everything so easy. They really have thought of everything! Can't wait to get back.

Wonderful Casita in North Park

We truly enjoyed our stay in the casita in North Park. The owners, Elicia and Amy, were so welcoming! They even ensured that our dog Ella was happy - with treats, toys, etc. Elicia and Amy checked that we were safe during a large storm and gave us ideas of things to do, see, restaurants to try, and so many other things. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to San Diego. Also, we would recommend their casita as the place to stay in San Diego as well.

Incredible hosts!

The home is beautiful and well kept! The location is awesome and in a quiet neighborhood, but walking distance to a popular brewery and several places to eat. The hosts were the best part! We had to do a late check out and they were very accommodating and understanding. When we come back to SD this is where we'll be staying! Oh and the bed is super comfy and the shower is amazing!

Birthday celebration visit

Great location and easy to access freeways. Good walking area with many types and colors of plants. Restaurants are definitely within walking distance. The Casata has a great floor plan with plenty of space for unpacking and enjoying our stay. Special note * Thanks for all the 'treats'!

San Diego Getaway

This home is absolutely the best VRBO! The location is lovely. The owners are the “hostess with the mostess” everything from dessert in the fridge to doggie treats and toys greeted us. The backyard is soooo relaxing - perfect for afternoon wine! We loved our stay and highly recommend it for a little retreat. It was spotless and so comfortable. We had the best sleep ever. Can’t wait to come back. 🌺

Incredible stay in North Park!

My partner and I plus our 2 dogs stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for our activities. We packed our bikes and biked around North and South Park. The hosts thought of everything we could possibly need! I’m not sure if we have experienced more thoughtful hosts. We took our dogs to Grape St Dog Park which came in a list of recommendations the host provided. The place is well kept, comfortable and updated with new appliances. We loved the character & comfort of this home and even chose to spend an evening in instead of our original dinner plans. We hope to come back soon!

Charming, welcoming, and well-equipped!

My partner, senior pups, and I stayed at the casita over new year's and loved every moment of it. Elicia was very accommodating, giving extra attention and detail to our senior pups needs, as well. The living area was nice and open, with plenty of comfortable seating for family gatherings or to snuggle up and watch TV. The kitchen was perfect for anyone who loves to cook: well-stocked and well-equipped. I don't think there was a single thing missing from the kitchen that I wouldn't have at home, which made it really easy to prepare and host family meals. We were really touched by their thoughtfulness in making sure our old dogs were comfortable by leaving them a crate chockful of doggy supplies and goodies. Having an easily accessible, small, grassy dog run was perfect for them, too. Additionally, they lent us a doggie stroller, in case our older pups who don't see or get around as well as they used to, could cruise around the neighborhood with ease. Overall, our experience staying here was nothing short of perfect. I would book this place again in a heartbeat!

The Casita exceeded expectations! Very clean, extremely well equipped kitchen, all amenities provided. Host was very accommodating and communicated quickly. House is located in walking distance to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely stay there again.

Quiet Comfortable Home Away From Home

Elicia and Amy really are the perfect hosts! This little house was comfortable and had everything I needed! They brought over a large pot that I was hoping for. The little backyard was a great spot to have coffee in the morning! The sectional couch was perfect for our son, dil, & granddaughter to visit with us. The bed was my favorite.. super, super comfortable, pillows too!!! Means so much to us to have a comfortable and quiet place to visit our San Diego family!! A special place for sure!!

Family trip

My husband and I came to San Diego for our Nephew's college graduation and were looking for a place that would allow us to bring our pup along as well. This little house was perfect! There is a private fenced yard with a little patch of grass for Charlie to enjoy. The house was located in our old neighborhood of North Park, so we had so much fun going to all of our favorite spots around town. Just a perfect weekend away! I don't think you will find nicer hosts either - I would 100% recommend this place!
