After your stay, the lockbox used for guest access was removed and never returned. I reached out several times to locate it and later requested reimbursement for the replacement, but I never received a response or payment. This review was posted after that interaction. Very quiet place. Excellent getaway and lovely morning walks around elegant estates where turkeys, deer, and other wildlife roam freely. This is a perfect location for anyone with a family or a couple looking for a nice cozy retreat. Just minutes away from Hearst Castle, Elephant Seals Vista, and downtown Cambria and beach. Keep in mind you will still be about 45 minutes away from Pismo Beach but the drive is scenic and the time will fly by.

A very comfortable cottage with all the necessary amenities. TV in the bedroom would have made the stay perfect for my wife. Overall very pleased and would recommend.

We had a lovely stay up in the pines! The cottage had tons of wildlife around, and was perfect for our group (4 adults). This is one that I would absolutely book again if I find myself in the area! Karl was a great host, and gave all the information we needed. Thank you for the lovely stay!

This was a beautiful, quiet spot convenient to the town of Cambria and just a few minutes drive from the beach. We loved watching the deer and turkeys walking around the property. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We would love to return someday!

This is the perfect place to stay for someone who appreciates a very quiet space in nature, aesthetic charm, and quality. We spent hours among the oak and pine trees watching the birds, the deer and the wild turkeys. Yet all the shops and beaches of Cambria were within five minutes travel. Everything was so comfortable and felt luxurious, especially the beds! And the cottage is so well built we had to admire the quality. Love the windows and doors!

Great location for a day trip to Hearst Castle. The property was close to coast highway, where we were greeted by a heard of cows. Once on site, we were immersed in the pines and oak trees, with wild turkeys and quails walking the grounds close by. We stayed at the property after camping for a few nights in Big Sur, which turned out to be a great combination. We loved eating at the Sea Chest down the road during sunset one evening. Our site host was very warm. We would be happy to stay here again on future trips.

The location was great, as it sits between both Cambria and Hearst Castle. The cottage was everything we hoped for with countless deers walking the property. At night, you could also hear the ocean off in the nearby distance which was relaxing. Definitely recommend this property and will be back again.
