The apartment was perfect - clean, well stocked kitchen facility, good Wifi and the AC functioned perfectly. The bed was very comfortable as well! So nice to wake up to the beautiful view of the bay and sound of the ocean. Coffee on the balcony in the mornings was beautiful!

We had a great stay in this condo! The views were gorgeous, the place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The air conditioning worked fabulously, and when we had an issue with the safe they came within the hour to fix it.

So far, this is the best view we had while in Costa Rica! The view is just spectacular, you can see the beach, the marina, and the mountains. Both the living room and bedroom have working AC and big sliding doors out to the patio. You can also easily go to the nearby restaurants if you dont feel like cooking. Highly recomment to other tourists!!!

The View

The unit itself was wonderful. Nice and clean well equipped kitchen comfortable bed two bathrooms spectacular view. The property grounds were rundown and in need of maintenance that however would not deter me from staying there again. There is a wonderful dark sand beach in front of the unit, only a short walk. Perfect for watching the sunrise there are two other beaches nearby.

Condo was excellent, recently remodeled with new kitchen, tasteful furniture, new bathrooms. Resort itself has seen better days. Location to beach, restaurants was superb.

Lovely renovated condo in a desirable area.

This condo unit was very clean, beautifully finished and very comfortable. The kitchen was quite spacious but a little lacking in quality cooking utensils if you plan on cooking & dining in. We expected a busier building but it was very quiet which we loved. We enjoyed our morning coffees and afternoon cocktails on the terrace. A really lovely location with beautiful views, just far enough away from the marina.

Who's Watching

Playa Flamingo is a wonderful place with great beaches and beautiful views. The condo is located just a few steps up from the beach and marina where there's good food and shopping. The kitchen has nearly everything you'll need and air conditioning works well. The fitted bed sheets could use replacing as they came loose twice during our stay. Our only real concern is the presence of a large two way mirror above the couch in the main living room.

This was perfect for our two week stay! The view is stunning and the walk down to the beach is less than 5 minutes. The bed and bedding were so nice, I had a perfect night’s rest every single night. Hearing the ocean waves and the parrots every day was amazing! We sat out on the big deck every morning for coffee and saw dolphins and so many different birds. I cook a lot and was able to cook easily in the kitchen. We did have a small issue with the oven but it was resolved first thing the next morning. The Krain staff is outstanding and incredibly responsive and wanting to help. The bathrooms are newly renovated and bright and modern! We will be back and stay here again for sure. Also, there is an excellent restaurant at the bottom of the hill called Camparino…. Best Italian food and great cocktail menu. Wood fired pizza that gives NYC a run for its money! The calzone is bigger than your head!! We actually ate there twice it was so good!

Greatest Vacation Rental Ever

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was beautiful and location was unbeatable. I will be staying at this air b&b every time I visit Costa Rica! Truly breathtaking!

The apartment was well appointed with everything you could need including beach accessories and plenty of towels. There was a spot of mold on the ceiling in the bedroom. The vendor said they would provide maintenance records to show it wasn’t active mold but was a remaining stain following treatment of a water leak on the roof. That was never provided which is highly concerning and even if they did, mold is such a hazard, it should have been fully taken care of BEFORE the apartment was rented. The directions to find the place could have been clearer (there’s a hotel downstairs with the name on the sign for where you have to turn in to park; that hotel name was not provided to us. Finding the unit based on the numbers provided was also confusing). You can hear the waves even with the doors closed which was lovely. The views were great. Beach access was easy. Nearby eateries.

Perfect for Me

I travel solo a lot and this place was perfect. I read other reviews and they were mostly accurate about the facilities. The pool was open and clean, I just preferred snorkeling at the beach. It was spectacular… turtles, rays, puffers and porcupine fish. The condo is amazing. Well appointed and very comfortable. I will keep it in mind the next time I return. Great location to other beaches and restaurants.

Unit was perfect with Gorgeous view and great location.

The resort needs a little updating, especially the pool area. There is only one small trashcan outside to dump trash for the entire resort. The resort employees were friendly and helpful. I would suggest having a golf cart for the week because walking up and down the hill is tough. We were overall happy with everything but others may not be.

Amazing view

My husband and I loved this property and will definitely try to stay here again the next time we visit Costa Rica. The condo itself is very spacious and very clean and the views are amazing. Yes the resort itself is not really operating but we kind of liked that. We had the pool to ourselves and were our own bartenders at the swim up bar. The property is very close to Angelina's, which is a fantastic restaurant and the private beach area was perfect. I highly recommend.

Great place with amazing views.

We were there in August. It was very peaceful and quiet. There was always a security guard there, plus the police station is right next door. The pictures in the listing look great, but don’t do the place justice. Views are more amazing in person. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Less than 5 minutes walk down the stairs to a beautiful beach. A small grocery store was conveniently located next door, as well as a Mexican/taco place (looked good but didn’t get a chance to try). Lots of other stuff in short walking distance. Loved our stay.

An amazing stay

I cant say enough good things about this stay! We are VIEW people and the VIEW was amazing! Just absolutely stunning.You have your own fabulous beach! And playa flamingo is a short walk. Lots of places to eat within a short walk. Centrally located. Condo is decorated very cute. It is CLEAN. Has everything you need. The building intrigued me. Was it an old hotel, or currently a "working" hotel? Reception seemed abandoned. But I didnt care! We had the place to ourselves. It was quiet and felt very safe. Peaceful! And those views! The AC also worked sooo well. Which as you know is HUGE in CR at the beach. And clearly its very affordale. We essentially had our own pool, own beach and a nice cozy spot to lay out heads where we could walk to any amenity needed. LOVED IT!!!!!

The unit was fine, area not. No other properties occupied, attendants did not speak English, very, very poor communication, pools were not in working condition, main one not expected to be fixed until after we had left. Not impressed with the area. No one on the premise when we arrived. Our driver from the airport had to help us get into the unit. Dark, unable to see the lock.

Disappointed

The only positive about this place was the view. Immediately when we arrived, I had to reach out to gain the check in instructions even though when booking it initially they said they would reach out 2-5 days prior. This place is the definition of a poor renovation. Pictures online are misleading, cabinetry and main door were cracked, living room A/C leaked inside the rental, next door neighbors had a barking dog the entire length of our stay. We spent most of our time off the aged and run down resort at the neighboring beach and towns. If you are booking for the pool on the property and private beach, seek other accommodations. Not worth it for the price you pay.

Un séjour parfait à Flamingo, vivement le prochain !

J’ai passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cet appartement à Flamingo ! L’emplacement est parfait, proche de tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin pour profiter pleinement de la région. J’ai eu l’occasion de croiser la dame qui s’occupe du ménage à mon arrivée, et elle est vraiment adorable, très gentille et accueillante. Elle a fait un travail impeccable : l’appartement était impeccable et bien entretenu. Les personnes en charge de la propriété ont également été formidables, très à l’écoute et toujours disponibles. La décoration est soignée, tout est pensé pour qu’on se sente bien. Je n’ai rencontré aucun problème, tout était parfait. Un grand merci pour ce magnifique séjour, j’espère vraiment revenir très bientôt !
