Cottage on Inverness Bay!

This is a unique opportunity to experience an Inverness cottage of your own. It is located on six acres stretching along the beginning of Tomales Bay. Enjoy gardens, flowers, orchard, marshes and year-round creek. There is an abundant variety of birds and wildlife.

Tomales Bay is at your back door, providing endless vistas of beauty and interest. Enjoy the ever-changing flow of water and quality of light. As the tide rises, take in the reflection of sky and rolling hills from the opposite shore, or the full moon rising over Black Mountain. The views are expansive.

As the tide recedes, watch for the variety of birds foraging for food along the shore, or footprints of deer as they move through the area. You may enjoy the view from the living room, outdoor deck, or sitting at the edge of the bay.

The cottage is approximately 3 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore visitor Center, and just 2 miles from the town of Inverness.

This is the third cottage we have stayed at in the Point Reyes area. All were excellent, but this was the very best. It is such a beautiful spot and the cottage is perfect for two. We love Point Reyes and all the wonderful hiking trails and I think this is the one time that our cottage was so perfect that we enjoyed getting back from out outings as much as we enjoyed our outings.

Fantastic Cottage

Truly wonderful stay at the Cottage on Inverness Bay. The cottage is well-appointed, quiet, and scenic. My husband and I never wanted to leave. We hope to stay again soon.

Charming cottage surrounded by nature

Gorgeous Modern Cabin with Garden and Views

We stayed three nights to visit Point Reyes. The cabin met all our needs. It was comfortable and cozy and had a well-equipped kitchen. The property was beautiful, with stunning views of the marsh and birds. We want to return again.

If you are looking for a tranquil vacation spot immersed in the sounds of birds and nature and close to the hiking, kayaking, oysters, and everything else the Point Reyes area has to offer, then this is the property you need to book. :-). We highly recommend this perfect cottage.

Quiet bayside experience

Our second visit to this wonderful cottage. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, with views of herons, egrets, and geese on the lower reaches of Tomales Bay. Nicely located, with both nature and “civilization” (e.g restaurants and retail) within easy reach. The cottage itself is well-equipped, tidy, and with excellent natural lighting. We look forward to returning.

Tomales Bay treasure

This beautiful cottage was our home for two (too short) days. Had the weather not been great, we would've been happy to hunker down in this very well-equipped, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully decorated abode. We lucked out weather-wise, though, so in between visits to our favorite spots along the coast and bay, we reveled in the glorious natural surroundings of this perfectly situated cottage.

An idyllic spot.

The perfect place for the quiet beauty of nature. Deer in the yard, birds soaring overhead, and fog drifting in. The cabin is very comfortable and does not seem small, partly because there are so many windows with beautiful views. Louise is so responsive. Great location, as well. We hope to come back.

Beautiful Spot

Cottage is adorable…many homey touches and amazing views to the marsh and bay. Lots of light. Nice wood walkway to the edge of the marsh where you can sit and watch the birds. There is some noise from the road when you are outside but you soon forget it as your focus is on the marsh and bay. Cottage is well stocked with dishes, coffee makers, pans, etc. I would suggest a few more wine glasses, but no a big deal. Tub was heavenly.
