Firefly Cabin, ride directly to the Wolf Pen Gap trails! Firefly is a newly remodeled 4 bedroom 2 full bathrooms and one half bath multi level home on a paved road. Nestled in the Ouachita Mountains 2 miles to Mena, near Talimena Scenic Drive.
On the first level is a living area with an electric fireplace enjoy year round with or without heat, full bath and a half bath, three bedrooms and a laundry area. Smart tv in livng room, and in all bedrooms.
Upstairs is the main Living room with gas fireplace and Roku tv. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen with all new appliances, plenty of storage for all your groceries. The dining room has seating for six add the leaves for more space. The king primary bedroom with ensuit bathroom featuring a walk in subway tiled shower, smart tv. There is a large deck off the upstairs living room with seasonal mountain views.
Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers on our large circle driveway. Some covered parking if you want to put your atvs or motorcycles under cover. Savor your favorite beverage relaxing around the fire pit encircled with Adirondack chairs . Whip up burgers on the charcoal grill to enjoy an evening outside. BYOB, Polk County is dry, a few restaurants do have bars.

Enjoy the front porch with double rockers or the upper deck for quite privacy. We love seeing the deer come by in the morning and evening. The neighbors cows are welcome visitors as well. If it rains sitting on the deck hearing it hit the tin roof is a soothing treat! After a long day of adventure you are close enough to town to have dinner delivered.

• PLEASE NOTE•

• A security camera is on the property. Many of our guest have very expensive belongings on site, for your protection we have one camera, it is facing the front yard and driveway.
No Cameras are inside the house.•

• No smoking or vaping of any kind in side the house. No leaving cigarette butts anywhere on the property.

• No unauthorized animals. Dogs considered on a case by case basis, with a fee. Must be approved in advance.

Mena is a great place to visit, ride the trails or Talhimena Scenic Drive, Take the boat to Lake Ouachita or dig for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park. Spend a day at Hot Springs, Mena is a perfect home base for an exciting or relaxing vacation, it’s all up to you!

Wonderful Stay

Had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Good location. Trail head was fairly close so we could ride our sxs from the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and hope to back in the future.

Loved it!!

We had a great time at the cabin. It was perfect for our two families. We also loved the access of the roads so we could ride our SXS. We loved the sunsets and the deer we saw. We will definitely be back to Mena and this cabin!

Great Property!

We spent the Independence Day weekend (3.5 days) at the FireFly property and it was EXACTLY as advertised. We truly enjoyed the house and stay. Location to the trails was convenient and the coziness of the house in the evenings provided a great experience for me and my family. I highly recommend the rental!

Outstanding home with outstanding location. Deer frequent the back and front yard early in the morning and early evening. Home is very nicely furnished and Linda is so accommodating.

Perfect Getaway

This cabin is perfect for a getaway to the mountains! When you pull up you are greeted by manicured flower beds, and a large circle drive that easily accommodated our three trailers. The cabin was clean and had the cutest layout/decor. The beds were soft and comfy! We had 8 adults here, and had plenty of space. Linda was a great host and we will definitely consider this cabin again next time we come to Mena!

Wonderful Weekend with Great Friends in a Beautiful House!

We went to Mena to ride trails for a friends birthday and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was beautiful and had everything you could ever need! Linda was a wonderful host! She was quick to respond to any questions and even notified us that the trails had opened back up after the insane rainfall that had fallen the week before. Linda, thank you so much for everything! It was a great time with wonderful friends in your beautiful house!

Amazing retreat!

This was a last minute booking, and the host worked with us fantastically to help us get into the unit and enjoy our time in town. Another cabin we had rented had advertised a "dirt road" to the cabin, which I underestimated for my Miata. This cabin was super easy to get into, and provided a nice balance of seclusion and easy access to town and roads around the area. Unfortunately we did not witness any wildlife beyond squirrels and birds, but I'm just attributing it to being so close to the road. Can't have it all I guess. :) House was absolutely gorgeous, good water pressure, good water temp, couch was super uncomfortable, but we spent most of our time not just sitting on the couch, so it wasn't a big deal. Kitchen was excellent and clean, table was comfortable, and the view from the second story windows was amazing from anywhere you walked around. The addition of all the smart tv's was the cherry on top for me, as this is something I usually struggle with when renting vacation homes. Internet was also really nice to have.

Clean, ALL amenities[just bring your food], Quiet, Serene, Beautiful, NEW

CLEAN - Everything was super clean, including bed linens, kitchen utensils and outdoors. These days cleanliness is important, and we didn't have to worry about it at all. Its completely safe and it feels like the Owners take pride in this property. The owners pay attention to detail, as everything is marked or labeled or explained in a booklet which helps us with instructions or get around the area if needed. The Dollar General and WalMart are less than 5 minutes away as well. NICE KITCHEN TOOLS - Do not bring anything but food to your stay, as all the dishes, pots & pans are provided. We brought some pots and pans but never used them. The owner also surprised us with some goodies for the kids; which they were overjoyed to see and truly enjoyed the experience. TOWELS, BEDSHEETS LINENS - We carried our own bedsheets and towels not knowing what to expect, but we were provided with everything. Extra toiletries were also stocked for our use if needed. Its a nice place for the city folks, as it feels like you are staying in a cabin in the woods, with everything so closeby. You will spot beautiful birds from the patio and deers around the back of the house. The owners also stocked the firewood, firepit with chairs around it, and lighters/fire starters. OVERALL it was an amazing experience, and yes we would stay here again and take half a car load of supplies with us next time...EVERYTHING you need is available here.

Family get away at Firefly

This was a wonderful home not far from Wolfpen Gap. This trip consisted of me, my husband, my two sister, my brother in-law, my nephew and his wife. The beds were comfortable! We rode the trails during the day and cooked meals together in the evening. All of us enjoyed talking around the fire pit before bed. The showers worked great!!! Everyone was very happy we were at this house. We never felt crowded here. The large circular drive allowed a lot of space to bring in your trailer. I would happily stay here again!!!

SxS trip with friends

This was our second stay at Firefly Cabin and it was just as great as the first time. This trip included a toddler and we had no problems. There is a baby gate for the stairs and the upstairs bedroom closet is huge, making a perfect spot for a pack ‘n play. It’s about a 10 minute ride to the Wolf Pen Gap trailhead on county roads. We drove our sxs’s rather than trailering them. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect for trip to Wolf Pen Gap

This VRBO totally impressed our group of six! It was clean and very well stocked with necessities and extras. The host was always extremely quick to respond when we had questions. There was plenty of parking for our trailers and ATVs. The location feels secluded with lots of trees but is close to town. We loved that we could ride to the trails and not have to trailer our machines. We will definitely book this cabin again on our next trip to Wolf Pen Gap!
