About this property
Beautiful Riad in the center of Essaouira's Medina
As soon as you enter the white studded door of our Essaouira riad, you’ll feel right at home. Our cosy relaxing refuge in Morocco with its 200-year old walls has three boutique suites, making it the perfect gem for a romantic escape, a family holiday or time away with a group of friends.
Dar Lazuli’s location on the Western coast of Morocco is second to none, tucked away in a quiet but central corner of Essaouira’s ancient medina and minutes from restaurants, bustling souks and long sandy beach with world class conditions for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Our Dar is home to three boutique suites in Essaouira: Alizee, Calima and Ghibli. These rooms can be booked individually or as a whole, sleeping a group of six to eight with exclusive use of the whole property. Cots and extra beds are also available upon request, so whether you’re a family, couple or group of friends, we can accommodate you!
All Rooms Come With:
Breakfast which is served in the ground floor dining room
A super king sized bed (2m x 2m)
A bathroom with shower
A fully equipped kitchen
A sitting & dining area
An open fireplace (except Alizee)
An iPod dock
Free Wifi
The first room (Alizée) is split over two levels: a cool and calm suite with kitchen and bathroom, leading to the bedroom and a cosy mezzanine sitting area higher up. Price is 60£-75€ per night.
The second room (Calima) is our brightest space – with light pouring in through ceiling windows and glass-brick walls. Price is 60£ - 75€ per night.
The third room (Ghibli) is particularly popular with couples who enjoy romantic evenings there, with candlelit dining under the stars. Price is from 50£- 65€ per night.

We are Jean-Marc and Madeleine, we're from Belgium. We speak French and English (Madeleine also speaks Latin and Ancient Greek but that's another story;-)). We have two grown-up kids, Clémentine and Sylvain. We fell in love with Essaouira and decided to buy this riad to share our love of this city with you! We would be delighted to welcome you in our wonderful home and tell you more about the Moroccan way of life in Essaouira.
