About this property

Timberline Creekside Chalet @ Mt Rainier-Sleeps10- Wave WIFI, Pets Welcome!

Our Rustic Packwood cabin has been renovated and we updated several features inside and out.

We’ve recently renovated our Cabin and added several new additions throughout:

*New appliances and counter tops to our kitchen
*Large outdoor deck (facing coal creek),
*Whir-pool stacked washer and dryer set
*4K 55 inch Samsung smart TV ( featuring Hulu live, Roku, Netflix and Amazon Prime video).
*Wave WiFi throughout the cabin
*40” TV with blue ray in the kids bunk area-

We also have a game closet downstairs featuring monopoly, Jenga, battleship, Pictionary, and a few other classics.

Our cabin was built in 1964, and the previous family had 50 years of memories within this vintage chalet. After 5 years of enjoying several wonderful family ski outings, we’ve decided to share this experience with others. Be the first person or family to explore the great outdoors while staying at the Coal Creek Chalet!

*We try to provide 1 small bundle of wood per night- We make our best efforts to supply a starter amount of wood per day but can not guarantee supplies if guests burn more than allotted bundles-

BASIC HOUSE RULES

*Please contact me immediately if anyone within your group displays any type of flu like symptoms or temperatures. We’re more than happy to reschedule your trip at no additional cost, or refund you at 100% up until check in. Our top priority is keeping our family cabin clean and safe for our guests in order to provide the best vrbo vacation experience.

Our damage deposit is 300.00$

Absolutely NO HOUSE parties on the premise. Loud music, exceeding the guest limit, Bon fires outside of the designated rock circle will result in immediate eviction and damage deposit forfeiture.

*Exceeding 10 people will result in a damage deposit forfeiture as our septic system can’t handle more than 10 guests- Remember, it’s not just the flushes, it’s the showers and laundry as well. Thanks for understanding.

The community has several permanent residents mixed in with folks looking for a quiet relaxing get-away. If there’s a loud party, we’ll get a call. Please only utilize the outdoor deck at campfire are til 10pm. All voices and sounds travel right over the creek and tend to keep people up.

Please remove shoes upon entry and clean off any furry friends to help keep the cabin clean for our next guests.

*We're pet friendly up to 2 dogs max, but please no cats. We have a cat of our own at home, but due to possible allergenic issues, we don't allow cats within our Chalet.

*Our cleaning fee is set at 125$

*Check-in time is 4:00PM. Check-out time is 11:00 AM.

We unfortunately can’t accommodate requests for early check-ins or late check-outs, as we have a scheduled cleaning time frame.

Flushing anything other than pee, poop or toilet paper will automatically forfeit your damage deposit. You'll back up the septic system, which carries severe consequences. The minimum charge to clear a blockage is currently $300.00 as we’re limited with services in Packwood.

Because of septic limitations, the maximum occupancy at this property is 10 persons, and no more than 10 people are allowed on the property at any given time. We cannot make any exceptions for larger parties. Parties of 10+ will be evicted without compensation.

*Small children are not allowed on the Bunk bed ladders, or on upper bunk beds. Children (all guests) are NOT allowed to jump off bunk beds. Lastly, the upstairs French door is a FIRE EXIT only- Guests are not allowed to use the upper balcony as the door is difficult to lock, and the balcony isn’t safe. We have a new large deck at ground level that faces out to Coal Creek for your enjoyment!

We provide firewood for the fireplace inside, but if you wish to burn within our designated outdoor fire-pit, you can buy bundles of wood for sale at Blanton's Supermarket in town.

The Washington Department of Natural Resources often restricts the burning of fires in the summer to prevent wildfires. Burning during a ban is dangerous; the penalties are severe, and any violators will be immediately evicted without negotiation or compensation. Please consult with the local fire department regarding burn ban status before starting any type of fire.

Amplified music is not allowed anywhere on the deck or in the front yard. Please be extra mindful of quiet hours that start at 10pm and last til 7am.

The forest, creek and nearby Cowlitz river are breath taking. Please be mindful of your footprint, and do your part to respect and preserve this special place. Don't harm the trees, dump waste, litter, or burn anything outside of the fire ring. Bag your pet's poop every time.

As the registered guest, you're required to share this information with others in your party and take responsibility for any damage(s) they might incur during your stay.

Fantastic home base for Mount Rainier exploration
We had a great stay for the five nights we were there. Nicely furnished, plenty of games and a well-equipped kitchen, and a great location. We kept the windows open at night and in the cool of the morning and then closed them during the heat of the day, and we were very comfortable without heating or fans, but I'm sure the fireplace would be a great asset in cooler weather.

Cabin with an amazing view!
This property was out of a fairytale. The kids loved playing in the creek/river and the playroom was perfect for them. The house was stocked well with everything we would need. My ONLY complaint is that the weekend we were there, it was pretty warm weather (80-90 degrees). The cabin was HOT. There was little air circulation and although we were provided many fans… we couldn’t sleep. I think to invest in a portable AC unit would mean everything in the summer months. Otherwise, the trip was perfect. We wish to be back someday soon.

Our family purchased this Chalet in 2014 in order to create family memories, and to experience great outdoor adventures at our doorstep . We've enjoyed several trips to White Pass during the winter months, and hiking adventures over the past few summers. Come by and enjoy our family's special home away from home.

Why they chose this property

The Packwood area is rich with outdoor adventures. Visit Mt. Rainier National Park, Grove of Patriarchs Nature 1.2 mile trail , Skyline Loop 5.4 mile trail, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Goat Rocks Wilderness Area, and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Hike the abundance of trails in the neighboring forests.

*Enjoy alpine downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sledding, and snowmobiling.

*Its just a short 15-20 minute drive to White Pass Ski Resort. Just 6 minutes from town which includes the Packwood Brewing Co., Blue Spruce Saloon, Cliff Droppers Blanton's IGA Market, and Cruisers Pizza.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is about 9 miles from the Mt Rainier National park during summer months, and about 15 minutes from White Pass during ski season. We're located on Coal Creek and one house away from the Cowlitz river. Enjoy the tranquil sounds of the flowing water during your relaxing stay at the Coal Creek Chalet.
