SEMI-OCEANFRONT Rodanthe - Ocean Drive - You will love the views from this lovely home, located just one lot back from the beach. Beach access is quick and easy, and relaxing on the decks is divine. Take a short walk to the Rodanthe Fishing Pier to either fish or sightsee. Five bedrooms in the home suit your group. The lower-level bedroom has three single beds and uses a common bath. On the mid-level, choose from two queen bedrooms that share a hall bath or one king bedroom. The top-level master bedroom has a queen bed and private master bath. All bedrooms in the home have their own TV with streaming capabilities, one queen bedroom has beautiful ocean views while the other two queen bedrooms have great views of the sound. There are multiple areas to gather with your group, including a game room with a game table featuring 60 games, sofa, chair, and large flat screen TV with cable and streaming capabilities. The great room on the top level features a home theater system with surround sound and DVD player for viewing the latest episode of your favorite show, catch the latest blockbuster, watch cable TV, or use the streaming capabilities. Cook up tasty meals in the kitchen and dine at the dining table or in the adjacent sunroom with outdoor dining set. After your meal, change to the game table and watch the sun disappear from the sky over games. Escape to the hot tub located in a sunroom on the mid-level or venture out onto the decks to gaze at the stars in the Hatteras sky. House was perfectly located! Had 2 tv's broken. Dishwasher needs repaired. Kitchen was stocked nicely. It could use some plastic bowls for storing leftovers. The outside of the house at the showers needs updated and cleaned. We swept a big path into the house so the sand wouldn't be tracked in. But the only thing worth complaining about was the weather. It was cold and windy!! Thanks for the stay!!

Beach vacation

Was overall nice. Beds ok. Kitchen well stocked. Location excellent. However there were cockroachs in house. Saw them in multiple rooms. We also cleaned before moving in and noticed alot of things that had not been wiped down. Location is the best thing about property.

Mixed review

Overall we had a good stay because of the location of the house (being able to see and hear the sea at all times is definitely nice) and its deck. However, we would caution others looking to stay here to read all the fine print and to know that they will be dealing with hosts (property management company) that doesn't care. As VRBO hosts ourselves, we were pretty appalled by the lack of care about the guest experience and would be mortified if our guests ever experienced the same. PROS: - Location - Beautiful big deck with views of the sea - Nice master shower - The house was cleaned well upon arrival - Getting to hear the sound of the waves all day every day even from back of the house CONS: - Run by property management that doesn't care about the details (e.g. did not leave the welcome kit as stated on the web portal until we asked about it, no direct communication with us about check-in (everything is done through the portal), seeing how our stay was, check-out; and finally the worst being that after reporting an issue that needed fixing in the bathroom and following up with them, no-one bother replying to us to get the situation resolved) - Had to bring all linens (including kitchen towels, sheets etc) and basic items like dish soap, sponge, trash bags, dishwasher tabs. There was an option to rent linens at a ridiculously high price. We knew about the linens but did not know the extent to which we would need to bring everything else. I believe there is a sentence or two in the portal but you have to search for it and we did not see it prior to arrival. - All communication (or lack thereof) is done through the company's portal which is not guest-friendly. The only direct auto-communication we got was a survey asking about the cleanliness of the house. - The house needs updating and make sure to read the fine print that is apparently shown when you click on a bubble next to certain amenities. We were looking forward to using the fireplace (in mid-May the evenings were still cool) only to find that they actually disable the fireplaces during certain months - apparently noted in a bubble if you click on it next to the listed amenity). This was a disappointment and could have been made clearer in the description. - The master bed is hard to sleep on - noisy and whole bed moves with the slightest of movements. OVERALL: -The location is great but overall experience was sub-par and certainly with no help from the property management company.

Very comfortable trip

First time staying in outer banks and definitely go back. Just make sure to read amenity list because we had a lot of little things we forgot to bring( toilet paper, hand soap etc,)

Crestview Winds

The home needs some updating. The “Grill” turned out to be a park type grill that only fit 2 steaks at a time on it. This property sleeps 11 people, so we were disappointed as we had planned on doing a bunch of barbecuing.
