Amazing property in fabulous neighborhood lots to walk to!Tambo the host was very accommodating and even purchased a toaster for the house for me while there!Highly recommend
Note the signs for street cleaning days before parking; we had no issue there. The address that popped up on the Maps site the day before was for the VRBO across the street, but Tambor got us straightened out. You may just want to check the address when you message ahead of time. The apartment is clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay.

1st time using vrbo
Be aware of the parking policies if you are taking/using a car-just get clarity on the days and how long you can park from the host. This was our first time ever using a vrbo and it was definitely a learning experience-it is not like a hotel where you can talk to someone immediately and get help.
My wife and I had a great time while on our vacation. The main concern was that parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable, but definitely research parking signs, etc. for D.C. Great price for the stay though.
Place was clean and pretty quiet. Never needed anything other to ask about parking but the host was super helpful and quick with a response. We stayed through a Wednesday and street cleaning happens on Wednesdays so that was definitely good to know. Just sure wherever you park, read the parking signs. Thanks again for having us and helping to keep our vacation special.
Quiet, in the heart of the city. 5 to 10 minutes' walk to an excellent cafe, BOL. 20 to 25 minutes walk to Union Market where there's a variety of restaurants and kiosks including Yellow for freshly made pita. It's approximately one hour's walk to the Smithsonian museums, all of which house amazing Art, and the African American history and culture museum was top of my list; amazing. We appreciated the spaciousness of this apartment and being able to do our laundry. Slept well each night. Would like to return to this place.

Nice basement apartment. Well equipment
kitchen and bathroom. Easy access to downtown. Would stay again.
This was a a great place to stay while we were on vacation, i loved it!
The listing was clean and in a good location, it had everything you could need for a stay!
Thank you to our lovely host who made everything a breeze!
We stayed here for 4 nights. This was perfect for us as we knew that we would be using it mostly as a place to sleep and rest after long days of walking. It was nice and clean when we arrived with all of the amenities in the description. We were able walk to the Capitol and mall but it is a pretty long walk, about 30 minutes. Most of the time we just called an Uber and saved our stamina for the attractions. Rideshare is highly recommended and only cost around 10 to take or pick us up from wherever we happened to be. The Metro train was also a convenient, inexpensive way to get around the city. As for dining, there are several nice places to eat close by to the apartment that are very easy to walk to and very good! We never met the host in person but he was available if we ever needed anything which we didn't. Overall great find for the price!
We loved this cozy little house in the heart of DC. Less than 2 miles from all the historic sites. Home is just a described. Tamba is an excellent host. Will definitely be back soon.
My husband and I stayed here during our trip to DC as a part of our honeymoon. The communication with the host was great, the rental is as shown in the photos, and the location is perfect for seeing the city. Our host even left a beautiful orchid in our room as a wedding gift (thank you, again)! The place is easy to find from the street and we had no issues with parking. We will definitely stay here again when we visit DC.
Convenient to my son's house, had what we needed - working heater, comfy beds (1Q, 1 couch), responsive host. We didn’t cook but could have, it's stocked. The coffeemaker, microwave, toaster all work. Only downside was low water pressure in the shower. I'd stay again when I visit my son!
The property was just as advertised and the host is a super nice guy. Was just what we needed for our stay in DC. Bus stop just a few minutes walk and made our trip into the Capitol area very easy. A little longer walk is the Metro...or you can take the bus and transfer at Union station. We took the Metro to the Zoo with ease. Would definitely recommend this property.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location. My host, Tamba was very responsive and accommodating. The location is close to the Capitol (the center of DC), so for me as a walker, I walked everyday to the city sites I wanted to visit. The location is a short walk to the Metro, which was also very convenient
The accommodations were very comfortable and cozy, and I felt very safe in the rental and the neighborhood.
I plan to return to DC in the new year, and plan to stay at Tamba's rental property again.
Wonderful and responsive host. Was exactly as stated! Make sure to read the parking restrictions as the days of the sweeper are posted, but we did not see them. Walked to the Capitol Mall on a nice fall day. With food and grocery delivery you can enjoy and relax!
The walkup to the entrance was not clean. Wrappers and trash by the front door. On entering the apartment it was very nice. We needed more towels and they were sent down right away. Everything worked well and it was very comfortable. The bike rental was just a few feet away. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Our property manager was there when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. The street and neighbors were friendly and we found some neighborhood places we could walk to for breakfast and dinner. We could even bring our dogs with us,
We chose to drive and use parking garages each day while sightseeing, the location was situated so that we got where we wanted to go within minutes. We would definitely return - thank you Tamba.
