Elk Corral makes the perfect jumping off point for any and all of these activities. In the evening and night a barbeque or the making of smores in the fire pit are always in order. Winter activities include cozying up to the wood stove when it's chilly out and enjoying an old fashioned board game or one of the dozens of dvds in the owner's library.
And after a long day of skiing nothings better than a soak in the Jacuzzi tub, followed by fluffy towels and a good nights sleep to the sound of the forest in one the comfy beds that are ready and waiting for you.

I can’t talk enough about this property. They had everything we could think of on a vacation. Kids loved all the toys , the kitchen was exceptionally stocked up. I loved how they had attention to details to make guests experience better. Hosts are really friendly and kind.

This house is a perfect mountain escape with the family. The owners have everything you could need even for little kids and babies. We traveled here with our 2 year old and 9 month old and they have so many baby items that I didn’t have to rent or pack. The location is amazing. Just 20 min to Mt Rainier entrance, 30 from Crystal resort. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are very nice. We would come back again!

Excellent Ski Weekend!

Elk Corral was the perfect location for our friends ski weekend. The house has everything you could possibly need and is nicely decorated. The parking pass was the cherry on top of our skiing weekend and gave us more time in the snow with less hassle. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

President’s Weekend

We had a fabulous time! Perfect location for Crystal Mountain. Great cabin community for post skiing walks and playing in the snow. The Cabin was perfect! It’s stocked with the basics, great kids room, and the owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Hope to stay here again.

Comfortable Cabin!

Our family of four adults enjoyed our stay very much! The furnishings were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The location was convenient for skiing at Crystal Mountain, and the non-skier appreciated being able to borrow snowshoes. Our welcome package was very nice too. All in all, Elk Corral Cabin was a delightful place to spend time together!

Best owners I have ever rented from!

The place was better than expected. The owner was very well prepared for our stay. It was extremely well appointed and there was extras of everything. It is very well situated for skiing at Crystal; about a 20 minute drive. It easily sleeps 8 and could stretch to 10. Will look to stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your home.

Amazing place for an amazing trip, full of pleasant surprises. Wonderful welcome package and wonderful amenities. Comfortable and cozy and perfect for our family. Loved the great location close to river with beautiful scenery and elk. Easy drive to Crystal Mountain for skiing and to town. Thankful for a generator when power went out and family in other locations lost power for the night. And great communication with hosts. We hope to go back!

perfect family ski base

we were 2 families staying here while skiing at crystal mountain, very convenient location ~30min from ski resort. the home and kitchen are very well stocked, with everything you could need. home is very kid friendly, with board games, puzzles, etc. owner diana was very welcoming and helpful, and easy to reach by text. our kids also enjoyed playing fooz ball and air hockey at the neighborhood clubhouse. overall a lovely home and stay, would highly recommend!

Perfect home for summer hiking!

We had two couples "nest" into this house for some summer hiking at Crystal Mountain and Sunrise. The outdoor heat was on and it was such a joy to open the door and have air conditioning on! The drive to either location is about a half hour. The house is located in a development that is certainly a ski house part time 'hood. The host has thought of just about everything for guests including a kitchen that has everything one could need. Loved our stay!

The Perfect Cabin

My family of 5 and my friends family of 4 stayed at the Elk Corral for 4 nights, and we were so impressed! Communication with the hosts was terrific from before arrival to the very end. The location is beautiful and ideal for those wanting to explore the Mt. Rainier area. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was incredibly well stocked with plenty of towels, linens, games, utensils, spices, literally everything. The hosts are very generous and even left a welcome bag for us, which the children in our group were especially delighted with. Speaking of children, they had the best time here! They loved all the games and having space to play. We would definitely recommend staying here, and we are looking forward to coming back someday!

We saw lots of ants and some roaches everywhere inside the house. Water in the bathroom upstairs was clogged. Wifi was barely working. Good cabin otherwise.

I have nothing but good things to say. I'll call it a home because it was very homie and lived, which we appreciated. There was alllllll kinds of stuff that you would need in the kitchen and the fridge was stocked with condiments if you needed them. there was a nice welcome package of local goodies. We didn't really have snow at the cabin but the snow on the mountain was awesome. If I had to pick out one problem it would be that there was almost too much stuff in the kitchen and on the counters, but thats a good problem because if you forgot it, they probably had it for you to use. Great place. Thanks!!

Great Hosts!

Our stay was shorted by the rain and landslides. I was able to make it in on Thursday night, hoping that I would be able to ski Friday but got word that the hill would be closed on Friday. I thought no problem, I still have Sat and Sun. Minutes later the text stating the hill would be closed for the weekend came through. Deanna and I had been in contact through out the week and also notifying me of road closures and such. We ended up swapping for a weekend in March. Thanks for the flexibility!

Best trip this summer!

Our family was so bummed that we wouldn't be able to do the annual vacation trip that we've done for 16 years because the border to Canada was closed. Instead, we've done several short weekend trips. they've been fun, but no substitute. Our stay at the Elk Corral Cabin, however, was an unexpected surprise. Not only was the location convenient to amazing hiking at Mount Rainier, but it was such a perfectly appointed cabin to come back to each night. There were plenty of games to keep us entertained, a grill on the wrap around deck, a gas stove that was a pleasure to cook on, and a ridiculous amount of pots, pans, condiments, cooking implements, and even good knives. I'm used to bringing a good pan and a good knife wherever we travel, but was pleasantly surprised by the availability of quality cookware at the cabin. We had some special wine while we were there and I was so pleased to find a good decanter above one of the shelves! In addition to the cabin itself, Deanna was extremely responsive to the few questions we did have during the stay. I think that Deanna and Duayne have thought of just about everything to make their cabin a perfect base for a trip to Mount Rainier. Thanks so much for giving our family a wonderful memory during these crazy COVID times!

Great time

This house has it all. Great location in Crystal River Ranch, easy to find and very welcoming. It would have been great if there were some closets/dressers available to unpack, but otherwise accommodated my family perfect. Loved the fire pit and the porch swing and plenty of kitchen supplies. There is no cell service here, so having a strong wifi signal was great.

Our Christmas getaway

This was the perfect get away for my sister and I with our 4 kids and our parents. I have never stayed anywhere as comfortable and well stocked, we have been doing this trip for years, but this was our first time at the Elk Corral cabin To quote my niece who left a note in the guest book “we will fosho be coming back”. Crystal mountain at your doorstep too! Please do not feed the elk we watched them get aggressive towards the neighbors children. Just watch them instead. How cool!

Christmas in the mountains

We had a great family Christmas ski vacation! Only 10 mile drive to Crystal Mountain. Several in our group rented ski equipment in Greenwater (Wapiti Woolie) only 4 miles from the house. Great ski store with coffee bar (Stopped a few times there) Deanna ( the owners) were very available and helpful. House had everything we needed ( kitchen utensils and firewood for indoor fireplace) Had a snowstorm and lost power for several hours and they were kind enough to refund us one night stay. If renting a car in winter, make sure you have a four-wheel drive!

A perfect long weekend getaway cabin

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Duayne and Deanna let us know that the cabin was well stocked and they were not kidding. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything necessary. The cabin also has a big bathtub perfect for a relaxing bath after a long day of hike. It has a lot of toys for kids. The cabin is very well located. Less than an hour to most of the great hikes in Crystal mountain and Rainier area. I also appreciated the owners flexibility with changes to our arrival timing. They were very communicative and answered all our questions before the trip making the whole trip perfect with no hiccups. We will be back soon.

Fantastic, well stocked home!

The house was great! The kitchen was the best stocked we have experienced with any rental, especially in terms of foods, spices, etc. The kids had fun chilling upstairs with Legos, occasional TV, and games. We all enjoyed cooking and eating downstairs each morning and evening. Our days were spent skiing at Crystal, which was an easy 20-25 minute drive. We frequently saw elk in the neighborhood, and one morning they even walked right in front of the house. We will absolutely consider this house again for our next visit. The hosts are very friendly and responsive!
