The log cabin was a welcome treat for my family. We were visiting friends at their lake home so we spent the afternoons and evenings on the lake and then returned to our “mountain” home for hiking and great views. The home was very spacious and comfortable for the 4 of us. Great location too.
We have rented mountain cabins from different owners for the last 6 years. This unit was by far the most poorly maintained. Upon arrival there was dust everywhere, dirty carpets and mold growing in the dishwasher. My communication with the owner was not met with a “please your renter” attitude. Instead, we were told we could cancel for a full refund and find another rental.
House is nice but could use some freshening--there was some animal hair on the furniture and one of kitchen draws was falling apart (overall not big issues). The biggest complaint was the house was very dry I think they need some humidification system in place. Otherwise it was fine and having the shuttle pick us up was easy.
My family and my sisters family and mom stayed there with four kids for the long weekend. It had everything we needed to make dinner and tons of space for all. Great to have three full baths and bunks for the kids. 5 min to boyne mountain made it a great ski weekend for all!
Great cabin with plenty of space for the whole family. Loved the private hot tub to unwind after a long day on the slopes! Take note: Coffee pot took FOREVER to brew a pot (next time I’d bring my keurig from home) & we were going to grill out one night but there were only 3 small charcoal grills (we prefer propane)

Overpriced and underdelivered
Check in was at 4. Cleaning service still there until 4:25. Once in, it loooked ok on the surface, but many issues discovered. There were so many bulbs and lamps not in working order, making it dark and gloomy. Called property manager, maintenance came out and couldn’t fix the lights, had the ‘wrong bulbs’. All dishes I took out to use were dirty and required washing before use. TV’s, while numerous, were not hooked into cable in bedrooms and were not capable of smart technology for streaming. In addition, the cabin was dirty. There were many years of dust behind every nightstand (where one would plug in chargers). The rugs at the doors looked as if they had never been washed and were so frayed that they should have been replaced long ago.
It is was a big let down to all other vrbo we have stayed in over the years. Overpriced and underdelivered.
Home was a beautiful get away, allowing time with family and close access to skiing/snowboarding. Would definitely enjoy staying at this VRBO again in the future!
Very comfortable property that is well stocked with whatever you may need for an easy weekend away from home. Although we spent most of our long weekend out exploring the surrounding area, this was a great place to come back to and just relax as a family. Thank you!
