We had a wonderful stay at this charming older home in Sunriver! Everything was great from start to finish. The house was comfortable, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay especially for young children. The location was perfect for enjoying everything Sunriver has to offer. It is close to the river. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

A family friendly stay with wonderful amenities, perfect for a three generation family vacation. The host has thoughtfully provided games, toys, bikes and other fun activities, the children declared it “the best house ever”! Although there is not AC, the house stays cool in hot weather. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet.The location is perfect, a few minutes walk to the river and a 20 minute walk to the village. The SHARC passes were a hit, Kris is an excellent host!

The Sunriver place was an excellent house for our family gathering. All the cupboards were labeled enabling us to make the holiday meals quickly. The place was very clean, and we appreciated being able to utilize all the amenities.

Friend family vacay

We had 3 families stay in July 2024. 5 kids ranging from 8 to 5 months, and their parents. The house was clean and comfortable. The hosts were notified of a need for a new frying pan and literally had one instacarted to the house. They were very responsive. The days we stayed the weather was high 90s, to 100. The house stayed comfortable with leaving windows open at night and fans on, and then closing everything up in the morning. There wasn’t a dyer need for ac and like I said it was 100 or high 90s. Overall we had a great trip and the house was perfect for our group.

Host communicated quickly and answered any questions. Location was excellent…close to village, aquatic center and river. SHARC passes included. House was clean and nicely stocked with just about everything you would need including gates for the stairs if you had young children . Really liked having the toaster oven. Everything was organized and labeled. Bikes were available for use along with many games for various ages . Pet friendly. We were 6 adults, 2 kids under 9 and 2 small dogs. The house was comfortable. Fans in each room helped with cooling. Would come again

Great location and house

Just as described. Well stocked. Great location for biking especially. Away from the crowds. No need for A/C; the house stays remarkably cool if you follow the suggestions in the welcome book.

Perfect for families with babies

We came with our 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren, ages 6 months to 6 years. Our son and family stayed at a nearby cabin, so it was a great family reunion. We felt at home. Totally. Everything we needed was there. Bikes and helmets, baby equipment (highchair, baby bath, stepstools, gates), toys and books for all ages. Kris was very responsive and hospitable but we really didn't need anything. Sunriver is a fun place. We hiked, biked and swam. In short it was perfect.

Family Get-Together

We had a wonderful extended family get-together in Sunriver. The host, Kristina, was very helpful and communicated well with us. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The location was great. We would definitely stay at Deschutes House again!

Our stay in sunriver

We had the best time. The children really enjoyed the toys and games and bikes and all the trails. The cabin is so cute and quietly mussels into the forest it’s just spectacular would rate 5 out of 5 every time and will most definitely be staying here again. Thank you Kris for being so hospitable.

Great family house

The house was exactly as described in the listing. Perfect for our family of four with two kids under 6. There were toys and games and even step stools for the sinks. It’s a short walk to the bike paths and a 10 minute scooter trip to the river from there. The house was clean and well kept and the beds were comfortable for all!

Sunriver Gem

Just stayed at this Sunriver home for six days. Had friends meet there. What a great place. Quiet location, comfortable home. Kris was very responsive when i had questions. I’m planning to return in the spring. Fantastic place for biking, exploring. Loved it.

great location...nice family home

Great location to everything Sun River! Owner was nice and communicated well as needed. It is an older home, but that is in the description, so no surprises. Lots of space for a family or two and great bikes and cold weather things to keep one busy. Wifi and Roku worked great.
