The Alana - Spacious Duplex with Parking 40 Mins to Manhattan

Welcome to The Alana, a newly renovated flat in the bustling Bergen Lafayette section of Jersey City. Filled with natural light, this tastefully furnished space features two floors, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, and in-unit washer and dryer. Free on-site parking in a driveway in front of the building. Travel to Manhattan via PATH trains, reachable by Uber or via the Light Rail two blocks away - total trip time will be 30-40 minutes.

The Alana is a duplex apartment located on the second floor of a two family charming row house in the heart of Jersey City. Groups and families will be comfortable here with enough beds for seven people and two full bathrooms featuring luxurious walk-in showers. All necessities will be provided - towels, bedding, upscale toiletries, hair dryers, iron / board, first aid kit, and more. Check in is a breeze with secure electronic locks. We are always reachable in case you have any questions or requests. Please note the house is equipped with outdoor security cameras.


The Neighborhood:
While the majority of our guests come to see NYC, we urge you to explore Jersey City’s beautiful Bergen Lafayette as well. Within 10 minutes of the apartment you will find an array of hip new restaurants, bars, and cafes located on the evolving Communipaw Avenue. Grind Coffee Shop is a must if you are a coffee fan. Three blocks from the house is the new Berry Lane Park - host to regular soccer matches and tennis games. Don’t forget to visit Downtown Jersey City for local gems like Torico Ice Cream Shop and Taqueria Downtown.

Bergen-Lafayette is an urban neighborhood offering a diverse mix of residents, sights, and activities. This is a decent neighborhood and is generally safe. Please remember you are in Jersey City, not all of its streets are lined with charming brownstones and upscale restaurants. Some blocks, like ours, will give you extra entertainment in the form of the occasional loud boombox or kids playing lively games of hide and seek on the street.

**If given a choice between Uber to your door or public transit at night, should you choose Uber? Absolutely.

***Uber is very cheap in Jersey City, you won't pay more than $7 or $8 to get a ride between the apartment and the PATH station at Exchange Place in Downtown. They will take a group of 4 people, which means your cost per-person will be lower than the $2.5 light rail ticket. If you haven't used Uber before, let us know and we will send you an invite which comes with $5 off your first four rides.
