Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Nice rental, Property run-down

Rental unit as described and very comfortable. View was decent for lower floor. Needs a deep cleaning in the bathroom, to many drunk frat boys missing the mark. Property itself needs some up keep and make sure you are willing to use the stairs as the elevators are not reliable and over crowded due to breakdowns and being out of order.

Was perfect except

The dryer went out the very first day of our stay. We had called twice and had two different guys come out to look at it just to say "yep, it's broke."

Felt like a Frat party

The whole atmosphere at The Summit felt like one big frat party. The first sight we saw was a college age girl barely able to stand up in the ocean washing puke off herself. The beach was packed and we had to walk a long time to find a spot. The walls and floors were so thin you could hear the people above you moving their chairs. Not the atmosphere we were wanting for our family vacation. The unit itself was okay. Everything was a little dingy and needed a good cleaning/new paint. The bathroom ceiling had stains on it. There was someone else’s hair in the shower on our arrival. The bedroom needed different curtains to keep the sunlight out in the morning. We did see two roach looking bugs that the manager told us was palmetto bugs but I’m not sure. We left a day early because we could not enjoy the beach. Will definitely be staying at a smaller complex next time.

Room was good.

The tub was stopped up for three days. Finally got someone after calling everyday, other than that issue, the stay was good.

Stinky

The fridge smelled horrible. Evidently someone had stored fish and it was sickening. I bought several baking sodas but it never got better all week. It affected the whole unit. We stepped out in the balcony one evening and the door locked after us. If you closed the sliding door it automatically locked. You could not change this. We had to catch a person walking by to get security for us. We did not have a phone with us. A listing of tv channels needS to be posted. Of the four elevators two were always out of order for entire week.
