Beautiful Lake House on Cowpen Lake w/Private Fishing Pond Boat Rental Available

Come enjoy our wonderful home on a beautiful, private 600 acre lake. Our 3 bedroom, 3 bath lake house is a perfect family or friend getaway. The house is located on Cowpen Lake in Hawthorne, FL located 30 minutes from University of Florida. House is on 2 very private acres with plenty of parking. Cowpen Lake is a spring fed, clear lake great for boating and fishing. Bass, bream, gar, crappie and catfish can all be caught from the dock. Our property also has a 4 acre small fishing pond that is perfect for kids. Boats can be launched from shore with ease. Pet friendly. The property is completely fenced in. There is a 2018 Harris Pontoon Boat available to be rented during your stay. Ready and in the water with a full tank of gas to enjoy the lake!!

Extra Full Sized Bathroom downstairs off the living room area as well.
Optional Room 4 - The Master Bedroom is connected to an Office where there is an EZ Bed pop up Queen Air Mattress that can be utilized for extra sleeping.
There are a couple of couches that are comfortable to sleep on as well.
House sleeps 6 comfortably, but can sleep up to 10.

Beautiful lake and boat rental made it special. Cabin is rustic and dark. Cabin could use a deep clean. Rugs and furniture need cleaning.

Relaxing get away

The lake house was the perfect place to stay to get away from it all! Sitting on the porch watching and listening to wildlife, playing corn hole by the pond, evening cook outs under the stars and excursions on the lake in the boat and kayak all made for a wonderful family stay. Great amenities with everything catered for just like being at home. The house is nicely situated too for exploring the area for many state parks and towns to explore like Micanopy and Palatka. The hosts were great with communication throughout the booking process and our stay, thank you Jackie. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!

Awesome Lake House!

Lake house was beautiful and cozy! Had everything we needed. Views were wonderful and communication with Jackie the host was great! We rented the pontoon boat as well and enjoyed lots of lake time. Caught about a dozen bass and bluegill in the lake! Nothing crazy big but still a ton of fun! We spent 3 days but next time will go for a week, never enough time at the lake!

Beautiful Lake Property

My husband, and I along with the dog loved the property. From Canadian geese to sand hill cranes, bluebirds, blue heron and eagles there was enough to keep a bird watcher busy. The dog loved the fenced lawn and lake. When 4 family members arrived for a short visit the lake house was large enough for us all to spread out. The kitchen is functional and the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental property. There was enough equipment to permit me to make sauce and meatballs, bake cookies and make a chocolate trifle. The spacious property allows for sitting and viewing the lake or the pond, relaxing in the sun or the shade. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful. When the dryer malfunctioned they were there the next day with a new dryer. A wonderfully relaxing lake house out in the country.

We had such a great time at the lake. Everything was perfect. The hosts are so easy to deal with. We also rented the pontoon boat… such a cool way to see the whole lake. Can’t wait to stay again and see all the updates that are in progress

Cowpen Lakehouse

The property was beautiful, better than the pictures. The home was nice,comfortable, and larger than we thought. The kitchen and outdoor spaces were very well appointed. My wife, my dog and I all loved our stay the lake and the surrounds were beautiful, The boat was nice and spacious and started right up. We caught bass everytime out. We enjoyed how quiet it was but for the sounds of nature. I expected mosquitos but there weren't any which was awesome. We would defintely go again

We really enjoyed our stay…absolutely loved the cabin, it was so comfortable and cozy and just the right amount of space for us. The property has a lake and a pond. We had the lake practically to ourselves and caught a lot of fish from the pond. We had excellent communication from Jackie and she was very accommodating.

Perfect getaway!

Everything was amazing from the property to the house to the ambiance. Lake was perfect for boating, tubing, wakeboarding, hydro sliding and relaxing. We brought our boat and rented the pontoon as well and had a blast. House/cabin had everything you need and then some. Perfect for a group or family. We will definitely be back! Thank you again!
