After a long haul flight from Sydney and a drive to Barton… it was wonderful to meet Chris who greeted us on our arrival. The cottage was very welcoming and peaceful - just right for us to recover from our travels. We will be back
Chris and Graham were wonderful hosts and provided us with a lot of information about different things to visit nearby. I'd say we'd stay there again but we live in the United States and probably this will be our only visit.
Beautiful little retreat. A paddock for the dog to play in on the doorstep.Very cosy with the log burner. Very attentive hosts, leaving many little touches for us to enhance our stay. Lots of walks in the area with a choice of eateries close by. Ideas for places to eat and to walk are provided in the cottage.
The cottage is in the ideal location to explore and discover the heritage of Cheshire.Beautiful location, fantastic hosts, the cottage has everything you need to relax and check out the county which has so much to offer.
Peace and quiet in an area with so many walks within a short disrance and a good selection of dog friendly cafes and pubs. Chris and Graham are excellent hosts of this small but perfectly formedcottage.
Our stay was fantastic, we needed to restore our batteries and we did. A wonderful location pubs a plenty. For us the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the views with a heater for the late nights sitting out side.
We found it a perfect place for a short stay. Being a good location for many nearby attractions and great places to eat out and Christine and Graham were very helpful and informative hosts.
The cottage is very comfortable with views over a paddock. The location suited us as it was in a small, quiet village with walks from the door but also easy travelling distance to larger places like Chester. The hosts are very welcoming with helpful recommendations.
Wonderful stay.. Perfect from beginning to end. Wonderful hosts who make sure you have what you need, get you settled in, offer some advice on local restaurants and generally make you fab. Super property and so many great options for food near by. Great info pack and lovely to have milk, cheeses coffee some snacks etc all waiting for you. We stayed with our dog and no problems at all.. Nice walks nearby and loads of dog friendly pubs, coffee shops etc nearby. We will be back thank you
We used the cottage as a base to stay for visits over the border to Wales and on to Chester on our last day. It was so cosy and comfortable to return to, very private and peaceful. Great selection of pubs nearby too with excellent food. Would highly recommend

Small but perfectly formed cottage in an excellent location - perfect for dog walks and visits to Chester and North Wales. Very clean, generous welcome pack and cosy log burner. Everything we needed for a weekend break.
This was an exceptional property. We use self catering accommodation whenever we travel with our dog Bailey. This was one of the best quality inside and out. The owners have thought of everything.
A cute cottage for a couple and our dog, very private too.Took our dog anchor and rope so our dog could roam in the paddock.Hosts were lovely and greeted with a fabulous hamper.Lovely pubs in walking distance and also in the surrounding villages.Great base as well for visiting North Wales.Would definitely recommend this property.
