The host was friendly and super responsive!! Amenities were exactly as pictured on the property details. Clean and very well kept condo. Enjoyed this place so much!!
This property is really nice and was perfect for my girls weekend in Waco. Walkable to silos and Dr. Pepper Museum. Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. We would stay again if we do another girls weekend in Waco.
This was a beautiful, cozy condo with a great location! The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable and it was very clean. We had a great weekend away!
We really enjoyed this condo! We had family and friends join us, and it was perfect for all! Love the walkable location and proximity to the Silos and all things in downtown Waco! Would highly recommend!
This was a perfect location for our family looking to take in a long Waco weekend. Walking distance to so many sites, amazing communication & plenty of space. Was very impressed how well stocked it was to everything needed with little ones in tow.
This property is exactly as advertised. Local to downtown Waco and easy walking to multiple attractions. Property is clean and modern. The property is an excellent renovation from its previous use. Management provided timely and helpful communication. Would absolutely recommend this property!
This was the perfect place to stay. It was roomy, clean and gave us a view of the Silos and Alico building. Walking distance to rhe silos and less than 10 min drive to all of the other fixer upper experiences we took in.other fixer upper e perie
This is a great property. It was clean and spacious and perfectly located. Everything went smoothly and the owner had good communication. A great option while in Waco!
We had a wonderful girls trip!! The loft was amazing. It was a short walking distance the the silos and other attractions and restaurants. It was a great place to relax in the evening. All the beds were very comfortable so we were well rested to go out the next day. Would definitely stay here again!!?
This location is perfect for walking distance to then Magnolia Silos and shopping. Waco is quiet not a busy city. Condo was perfect for the 3 of us. Cute layout. Really enjoyed our stay.
This place is just awesome!! We stopped in Waco on the way back from a Cowboys game. Parking was very easy as it is assigned parking. The building is right behind the parking lot, which is very well lit and the location was very nice and convenient to local attractions as well as a pretty broad selection of food. To our surprise, this industrial loft was even better than the pictures. Just a very very cool place to stay. The only gripe I have is that we couldn’t stay longer. Just an amazing place that makes you not want to leave. If you’re planning a vacation with your family/friends to the Waco area, you would be making a mistake if you stayed anywhere else, other than this beautiful industrial loft.
I cannot say enough great things about this property. The location is amazing!! Walking distance to so many venues. It was clean and quiet with an incredible view. But, maybe the best of all was the fact that the owners just get what it’s like to travel. There were tons of extra towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap, etc. the kitchen had everything you could think of or need. We have been to many places that skimp on some of the extras. This is not one of them. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Waco!!

About the host

About the owners: Tom & Susan met and fell in love at Baylor in the 1980s. Tom was a native Dallasite so they married and moved to Dallas after graduation where he has enjoyed a rewarding career in the life insurance industry. Susan began her career as a banker before retiring to stay home to raise four sons. Family life was fun, fast, and furious, as they balanced school, activities, work, and church. When their youngest started kindergarten, Susan explored the question, "What am I going to be when I go up?" and returned to school earning a Masters in Biblical Counseling. She has worked at The Marriage Place since 2013 as a couples therapist. They love to travel and enjoy the home feel of a VRBO.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location (and cool vibe).
Like many young couples, they moved to Dallas to begin their careers but enjoyed traveling back to Baylor's campus for football games and Homecoming. Our trips became less frequent as they were raising their four sons but as their nest emptied, they got football season tickets and headed south on I-35 once again. Only this time, Waco had changed (for the better) significantly! With the expansion of downtown and the addition of the Silos at Magnolia, Waco became a fun place to hang out with or without the Baylor campus.
In 2018 they stayed at a property in downtown for the weekend and loved the experience. They had a Baylor freshman at the time and season tickets so they knew that more trips to Waco were in their future and decided to look for a place in the downtown/Silo area.
Through a real estate connection, they found out that a developer was going to purchase Behrens Lofts to convert the existing apartments into condominiums for purchase. Being on the front end, they got one of the first choices and picked the best one for their needs. "We love it and wanted to share this cool experience with others who would treat it as their own as well."
What makes this property unique
This space is different and unique from renting out a home or duplex. The Lofts were converted from a workspace for Behrens Drug Company, so it has a great industrial vibe - brick walls, exposed pipes, concrete floor, etc. Also, since they plan to spend time here too, they wanted it to be very welcoming and comfortable. You feel like you are in an urban setting but you are surrounded by a small town, warm community.
The location is key - a short walking distance to the Silos (which you can see from the balcony), restaurants, and shopping. It is less than a mile to Baylor's campus and 1.5 miles to Cameron Park - the site of one of their first dates! Right next door is a quaint bookstore where you can browse, get a cup of joe or glass of wine. "Last week we met friends at a rooftop bar and walked home in the moonlight - pinching ourselves that this is Waco!"
