Storybook Mt Lemmon Log Cabin

Beautiful spacious storybook log cabin off Carter Canyon Rd, which has year round access. This is a true Log Cabin with a touch of luxury throughout with easy access & ample space to park 3 or 4 cars on the lower portion of the lot and space for 2 more cars to access the middle level main floor of the cabin “weather depending” off Miami Street. There are two full baths and two spacious bedrooms with King size beds plus a very large loft that has two bunk beds & a private balcony. Middle level main floor is an open floor plan with smart TV and limited Handicap access to that floor only from Miami Street unless there is snow present. It also has the master bedroom located on that floor with a smart TV. The bottom floor family room has Large smart TV with a full bath and a large bedroom with a smart TV, King size Bed and a washer/dryer room. Downstairs has separate entrance that is used as the main entrance off of Carter Rd. There is convenient parking on our lot next to the cabin for 3 or 4 cars to park. The cabin is located within walking distance to the Cookie Cabin, General Store, Saw Mill Restaurant and multiple trails. I look forward to you booking and working with you so you and your family have a memorable vacation getaway in the mountains of Summerhaven.

*** Directions: Drive through the town of Summerhaven and take your first right after the Cookie Cabin on Carter Canyon and follow the road over the hill to the left. You will see our cabin on the left shortly after you pass Miami Street. Parking is the big flat area just before our cabin.

*** Warning this cabin is located on the top of a mountain and some cell providers may have limited coverage. Please make sure you know how to turn on your Internet WIFI calling through your phone and connect it to the wireless network at the cabin for reliable phone service during your stay.

***Warning this cabin is located at 8k elevation. If you book in the wintertime plan on having access to a vehicle with 4x4 and chains to access the property during snowy conditions.

-Make sure cabin is secured all doors locked and all lights off before you depart. -Strip the sheets from the beds you use and place in laundryroom.
Remove all garbage & take with you as there is no garbage service on the mountain. Maid charges a $75 fee for garbage removal above the cleaning fee.
-Wash and put away any kitchen items (dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.) you use. -Return any furniture you move to where you found it.

Beautiful cabin! Everyone had a great time. The kids loved the upstairs loft and the adults enjoyed sitting on the patios. The cabin was very clean!

The cabin is beautiful with lots of out door space for hanging out. It was walking distance from lots of hiking trails and everuthing in Summerhaven, but there was plenty to do for those that didn't want to leave the cabin. My kids loved the loft and were content up there for most of our weekend stay.

Wonderful Getaway

Me and my family stayed for Christmas and had an amazing time. The cabin was more beautiful in person! The kids loved the loft area and all the games. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Great place to stay

What a great place to stay! The cabin was beautiful, clean and cozy. We got about 2 feet of snow and had a we had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. Dan provided excellent customer service, he was very responsive to all our questions and was a delight to work with.

Quaint place for a Family Staycation

Nice views, quite neighbors. Close to hiking trails and a short walk into Summerhaven. The kids loved the 3rd story loft. Huge grill and nice kitchen appliances. Nice place for an outdoor fire too!

Great relief from the heat of the valley

My wife and kids are Tucsonans. I am a native Tucsonan. We had family visiting from South Texas and thought it would be nice to get away from the heat. This was a great idea and a great cabin for it. We enjoyed the cabin and will likely use it again.

Family getaway

We LOVED staying at this cabin! It was clean and had all amenities we needed for a weekend away with our small children. Our children loved the blocks at the cabin, and we were grateful for the optional safety gates at the stairs to give our 10 month old a space to play without having to worry about her taking a nosedive! Enjoyed taking walks in Summerhaven and all the wildflowers in the yard. A beautiful spot—we hope to return soon!

Exceptional Property - Wonderful Experience

This is a beautiful property that is well maintained and made us feel like we were staying in someone's special home. Little touches throughout the cabin made my entire family feel comfortable and pampered. We truly appreciate the opportunity we had to spend a couple days in this "storybook" cabin. What a great way for us to celebrate a birthday and spend quality time together as a family. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and hope to stay there again in the future. A+!!

5 Star Winter Wonderland!

Dan’s cabin is the best we’ve experienced im Mt Lemmon. It’s pristine, equipped with spices, blankets, sleds, and everything else a family would need for a mountain stay - and its gorgeous! We loved the Christmas lights and trees, the carved wood bear in front and the space. Right behind the cabin is a perfect hill for sledding. Dan was very friendly and responsive, giving us weather updates and making sure everything was ok. A 5 star experience!

Summerhaven is amazing

Our stay at Summerhaven was wonderful. The Cabin is beautiful & well equipped. Everything is auto pilot so we were carefree for our entire stay. Lots of games for the grandkids and food is great at the restaurants a short distance away. If you forgot something it probably is in the cabin but the General store is well equipped and also has some unique souvenirs for you to take home. Daniel is a great host and answers quickly should you have any questions. We'll be back ! -

break from heat

No complaints regarding our stay, house was as promised. Summerhaven is smaller than I realized & the 3 restaurants were closed when we were there as was the ski lift, so bring your own food. Perhaps do not go on monday-wed. Enjoyed the weather, outdoors & hiking.

A delightful weekend getaway

We love this property. It is the ideal layout for a cabin. Mt Lemmon is a beautiful place with so many hiking trail options. The only downside is that you have to haul out your own trash because there is no trash service on the mountain. But it’s not a big deal if you are prepared in advance. The owner left easy to follow instructions and maintained good communication with us. We look forward to returning again.

We bought this specific cabin after several years of searching for an "all year access cabin" with easy access and space for plenty of cars to park. We also wanted a cabin with a true log home construction.
