About this property
Forest Hermitage With Creek. Close To Everything!
Imagine waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and the trickling of water from the creek as you sip your favorite hot drink from the balcony among the pine and fir trees. This cabin is just a stone's throw away from town center with a food shop right across the street, but is a true mountain hermitage where you can unplug and unwind from all your concerns. And with fast Wifi, you can do your best work remotely amidst the serenity of nature while a fresh mountain breeze blows.
THE SPACE
This is a 70 year old rustic cabin - 900 sq. ft. with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, built into the mountain side and accessible via approximately 30 stairs with open side rails. It may creak and squeak on occasion, but that's just its personality and part of a real cabin experience. Please note that as there are steps to ascend and the balcony is not fully child-proofed, being elevated, you will need to be careful if you bring young children.
GUEST ACCESS
The whole cabin is for you! There is self-entry with a code that you will receive upon booking.
*** WINTER ACCESS ***
In the Winter months, you will most likely need to have a 4x4 vehicle, all wheel drive, and/or snow chains, to rent the cabin, since mountain access is restricted to such when there is snow/ice on the road. Please stay up to date with weather conditions and call the Road Conditions Line for updates, which can be found by googling: "mt lemmon road conditions line" (I'm not allowed to post the phone number or link here)
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Concerning trash, the mountain has a "pack it in and pack it out" policy, as Mt. Lemmon has no trash service available. It must be taken with you off of the mountain. Any trash leftover will incur a $75 fee per bag.
2 smaller pets up to 30 lbs. maximum (each pet) are allowed, any violations to this rule will incur a $50 fee.
There is cell service on the mountain. As for cell data, T-Mobile and AT&T work very well and Verizon gets some coverage in the evenings and early mornings.
We have fast WiFi at the cabin! If you stroll into the town center, the community center also has free public WiFi daily. The center is closed during the week but you can access the internet from the benches outside or from the restaurant across the street.
Due to water availability issues on the mountain, please refrain from using the washing machine. As well, sometimes the Mt. Lemmon Water District imposes mountain-wide water restrictions. Please make sure to check for any current restrictions before your stay at the MtLemmonWater website (I'm not allowed to post an external website link on Airbnb).
The cabin offers a 40 inch Smart TV for you to enjoy all your favorite movies on the Internet (Netflix, Amazon, etc.). There is a DVD player with the TV along with some provided DVDs, but feel free to bring your own DVDs as well.
The cozy fireplace is for your enjoyment, as well, but you must bring your own firewood, which may be purchased at the general store down the street.
There are USB outlets on the back of the end table next to the love seat in the main living room.
There are extra linens in the bedroom with the queen bed.
The water is mountain spring water and drinkable!
Please avoid using the microwave and the oven/stove at the same time, as this may cause the electrical circuit breaker to trip.
