Maison de la Mare (7 rooms) along La Seine and in a wooded property.

Inside of a beautiful and newly built shared house, “La Maison de la Mare” provides for a total of 7 x 20 m2 bedrooms (3 on the ground floor, and 4 on the 1st floor), all within a beautiful forested and fully gated property.

Each private bedroom consists of : an entrance, individual bathroom with toilet, double bed, desk, and large closet. All benefit of either private balconies or direct access to the gardens (except for room #5). Each bedrooms includes bed and bath linen.

Common areas include a modern well equipped kitchen with crockery + utensils, (two fridges, microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc), and large dining table, a comfortable living-room with TV, and laundry room with 2 washing machines and 1 dryer, parking and access to the forested garden with chairs/table.

Taxi service available from and to the property can be scheduled.

The train station with constant trains to Avon/ Fontainebleau, and Paris is within 5/8 minutes walk.
The Domaine is also closed to shops and facilities, next to Fontainebleau forest, riding schools, jogging and cycling courses, golf, sport grounds and spa.

We had a really good time.The prooerty has a very large and beautiful garden.Living room and kitchen can be cramped if you would stay inside with 14 people.The kitchen is well equipped.

Pascal is an excellent host - very generous with his time and effort in responding to requests from the ten guests. The house is capacious, set in wooded grounds and full of character. I myself was not resident there, but can convey the satisfaction of our club members who were.

le lieu, indiqué pour 14 couchages, est très agréable mais l'espace cuisine ( et prise de repas) est très petit et très sombre, pas adapté pour 14 personnes mais seulement pour 10 pour avoir ses aises....Contrairement aux 7 chambres qui sont très spacieuses avec salle d'eau WC pour chacune, et un salon très agréable... L'équipement extérieur (tables et chaises, barbecue) est passable.... La verdure et le calme sont au rendez-vous !Super ballade le long de la Seine !

Bon séjour au domaine de la Mare

Très grand domaine qui nous a permis de nous retrouver entre amis pour un weekend. Le parc boisé est l'un des points forts ainsi que les salles de bain avec toilettes pour chacune des sept chambres. L'hôte nous a également mis à disposition un lit parapluie avec un matelas parfait pour notre bébé d 6 mois. La proximité avec la gare de Bois-le-Roi rend le domaine également facilement accessible en transport en commun, ce qui est très appréciable. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir n beau weekend de septembre, ce qui a également embelli note séjour. La cuisine est très bien fournie en vaisselle, verres et plats. Très bon séjour, nous recommandons.

Super week-end en famille !

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end familial à 10 dans cette belle maison de la Mare décorée avec goût. Les chambres avec salles de bain et toilettes sont clairement un plus lorsque l’on est nombreux ! L’accueil a été parfait, chaleureux et riche en informations sur les alentours et les activités potentielles. De belles balades à faire sur les bords de Seine pour les courageux et du farniente dans un domaine zen et verdoyant pour les autres. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !

Très agréable

Nous avons passé 2 très bonnes soirées et nuits en famille. L’endroit est privilégié, calme et la location en elle-même plutôt jolie et très propre. La déco est sobre mais c’est très bien pour une location. La disposition des chambres est très pratique également. Le jardin pourrait être mieux délimité pour les gens qui comme nous ont un chien mais finalement ça n’a pas posé de problème. Si j’avais une remarque, je dirais qu’il serait prudent de mettre un piège à chenilles processionnaires sur le pin qui surplombe le jardin. Nous avons justement croisé ces insectes très dangereux sur le quai un peu plus bas, donc les environs sont touchés.

Nice and quiet stay

Quiet and secluded spot but still with walking access to market / train to Paris. Comfortable rooms with all the amenities we needed to cook most dinners during a stay to climb with friends. Pascal was very responsive and helpful with the few odd needs that came up. Thanks!

Good property for large families

The owner lives on the property and is a very nice person and helped us with everything that we needed as soon we phoned him. The yard is great for kids to run around. The thing that brings down the rating was cleanliness in the kitchen. We had to put all of the dishes thru the dishwasher before we could use them. The online pictures were a bit misleading. Though there is accommodation for 14 people, you cannot fit 14 people in the kitchen nor to all sit in the living room. All in all w enjoyed our stay

Ruime woonkeuken, gezellige woonruimte. Prima uitvalsbasis voor dagtripjes naar Parijs (trein naar Gare de Lyon), Disney (klein uurtje per auto). Bos in directe omgeving. Zeer behulpzame eigenaar die direct voor je klaar staat eventuele probleempjes op te lossen en je vragen te beantwoorden.

Nous avons passé un Noël très agréable dans cette grande maison. Le descriptif est conforme à la réalité, les chambres sont très spacieuses et confortables, avec leur salle de bains. C'est une maison accueillante et très propre. De belles balades sont possible, dommage que nous ayons eu un Noël pluvieux, mais nous avons tous apprécié d'avoir de l'espace. la cuisine salle à manger est peut être un peu juste pour une grande famille, pour des repas pris tous ensemble, mais le propriétaire a fait rapidement ce qu'il fallait pour que nous soyons bien. Nous reviendrons surement dans cette belle maison n.

Week end de charme à la Maison de la Mare

Nous avons reçu un très bon accueil dans ce domaine au parc paysagé, qui reste néanmoins sauvage. La maison tient parfaitement ses promesses et correspond tout à fait à nos attentes. Malgré le temps humide de ce week end de mi-septembre, nous avons passé un très bon séjour et reviendrions volontiers à la Maison de la Mare.

During university time, Maison des Bois and Maison de la Mare are rented to INSEAD's MBA students who stay in Fontainebleau for two to four months periods. Coming from all countries, they are a permanent animation for the city.
