*** NO PETS*** Welcome to the Adirondack Cottage located on beautiful Saint Simons Island Ga. This three bedroom three bath home has its very own private heated pool and is just steps to one of the best beaches on Saint Simons. There are two twin beds located on each side of the sunroom as you enter the front door. Guest room #1 has two twin beds, guest room #2 has a Queen bed. The master is situated with a king and lastly there is a bunk room situated with two twin beds. There are two living areas with flat screen televisions and wifi throughout the house. Outback you will find your very own private pool and spa that can be heated for an extra charge during the off season. There are several chairs around the pool to relax and read that favorite book or just enjoy the sunshine. There is a covered patio with sitting chairs and an eating table for six complete with a gas grill. This home is just a short walk to one of the best beaches on the island and is sure to be a family favorite for years to come.

Fortunately we know the area well , as we have been coming here for some 42 years. We love the island and had organised boat trips, fishing trips and spent a lot of time over at the Cloisters . A great part of the world with fun restaurants like the Crab Shack with really nice friendly people.

Charming cottage & wonderful stay!

We had a GREAT stay and will definitely be back!!! Close to the beach and we biked to restaurants in the evening with both our kids with a bike trailer! Having the pool was great too!!!

East Beach Cottage

Our family of 8, grand parents, our son and wife with kids enjoyed the pool and beach. Cottage in great location but is a little dated. One bath had a small leak under sink but overall a great weekend.

Best location!

Great location! We’ve stayed at this house many times over the years and always circle back to it because the location is just perfect. Easy to get to East beach, easy to get to shopping areas, easy to hop on the sidewalks and walk to the marsh or down to the park. Do yourselves a favor and rent a golf cart while you are in town - back gate & alley make it easy to park and get to the beach with your gear loaded on the golf cart. Relax in the pool after a long, hot day at the beach. We will be back!

The place was clean although a bit run down. The property manager was quick to respond. Recommend bringing more toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. We ran out of all. Also it’s smart to bring your own beach towels. Beds and bathrooms were clean.

Great location, but house could use some TLC. The house wasn’t clean when we checked (apparently Vrbo didn’t let the prop. Manager know of our arrival) the property manager was contacted about the cleanliness but we never heard back. It was a prime location for restaurants and the beach…but the property felt a little neglected.

Vacation Experience

The door was hard to get in with code, the home was not properly furnished: eating utensils, bath cloths,kitchen utensils, no can opener, no serving bowls, Wi-Fi didn’t work half the time, the air conditioning was uneven in the home cold up front and hot bedrooms with small bath. The photos of the property were deceiving. The chairs in the kitchen were dangerous and need to be replaced.

Overall a great week, some TLC is needed

Great location with an easy walk to the beach- we had 4 kids (ages6-8) and they were able to make the walk back and forth easily. Loved the quiet street and all the different beach access points. The house is a decent size and rooms are spread out for privacy. The pool and hot tub were wonderful- we had trouble at first with heating but two days in a pool guy came and then it heated nicely. The place is good. Definitely needs some care (oven is terrible, doors stick, charcoal grill doesn’t have a grate, generally old and in need of some TLC), but we still had a great time and would generally recommend this property to others. Good kitchen space with an island for hang out time.

Some dry rot wood along outer porch area. windows could use some blinds. Code instructions were a bit vague. Owner wasnt very responsive on VrBo site, has an issue with internet connectivity and had to call the emergency number, not cool! Door to porch pool area needs some serious WD40! Sink stopper in main bath needs fixed. No light in the main bedroom shower?

Family trip

The house and location are lovely!!! Easy walk to the beach and great outdoor pool to cool off! Given the age of the home, the room size was appropriate with lots of socialization space. That said, there are several TLC items that need to be done in and outside the home that you didn’t quite pick up in the description or pictures. For example patio paint, dirty grout in bathrooms, aged electrical, leaking faucet, one stove burner didn’t work etc. We also had to have the cleaning service come out again at check in as the floors were very dirty. The property management team did respond and have it re-cleaned which was appreciated. If some maintenance effort was put into the home we would absolutely stay again! Truly the perfect location!

Disappointed for the money

This was an expensive 3 day stay considering the missing amenities. We requested the spa to be heated and couldn’t get it above 85. We also tried multiple times to get the tv to work. Followed directions and reset boxes and nothing worked. We contacted the host multiple times during our stay on the app, text, call and did not hear back. It is run down compared to photos.

Perfect for our family of 5

This was our first visit to SSI and our family cannot wait to go back! We are a family of 5 with three boys ages 13, 10 and 5. Adirondack hous was the perfect location for walking to the beach and riding bikes around the East Beach neighborhood. We discovered there is another small beach at the end of the street too. The private pool and hot tub were a highlight. It was easy to adjust the temperature and the pool deck receives plenty of sunshine to enjoy. Our older boys appreciated that the pool was so deep on one end so they could jump in and cannonball! We ate dinner under the lania most nights. The house is much larger than we imagined and we had plenty of space to spread out. The spacious and updated kitchen was gorgeous and well stocked. This house is an older house but it is renovated and decorated very nicely! Beds were comfy and clean. If I had a complaint, it would be that the water pressure in one of the bathroom showers was not very good but we had two other showers to use so it was not a big deal. Parking was plentiful which was nice when our cousins came to visit for the day. We had one issue with a TV remote and the management company came over right away to help. The beaches were very nice and clean. We went into the village most nights for ice cream and our kids enjoyed walking to the pier to check out the local fishermen/women. We can't wait to get back to this property and SSI! Highly recommend this property for the lovely pool, close beach access and updated kitchen/decor.

Great house, in a great location

Very nice house, great location, wonderful street. Great kitchen, living layout, the inside of the house was clean. There were a few issues during the week, but the property manager did resolve. The pool had significant algae along the walls and bottom upon arriving Saturday, but was crystal clear by Tuesday following a Monday morning cleaning. Some good swimming time lost but in the end was fine. This was the most “worth mentioning” issue. Other small issues were handled quickly. Outdoor patio furniture is falling apart (chairs around table specifically) , needs repair or replacement. Would definitely stay again.
