About this property

Enjoy gorgeous sunrises over the ocean and sunsets over the intra-coastal. What can be a better way to live a relaxed lifestyle than living in a 5 bedroom beach house called Hemingway Dream, complete with modern amenities and open space and two separate living areas and kitchens. Enjoy over 1400 square feet of deck overlooking the ocean and a fire pit and an outdoor shower. When the song of the sea makes a calling, be ready with your mates in Hemingway Dream a gorgeous five-bedroom beachfront house.
Hemingway's dream house has 2 separate entrances, Downstairs have their own suite, living room and one bedroom with a Queen size bedroom. We call it bedroom 5 .
Main area is on the 2nd floor with the larger fully equipped Kitchen. Once you enter the upstairs main door, there is a bedroom called bedroom 1 that has a queen size Murphy bed. Across from that room, there is a King size bedroom called bedroom 2. Between these bedroom 1 and 2, there is a full bathroom.
We do have the stairs to the loft from the kitchen, there are 2 other bedrooms, bedroom 3 with 2 twins, and bedroom 4 with the Queen size bed.
In the living room, we have a Queen size pull out sofa.
Hemingway Dream offers 2,342 Square Feet of living space and beautiful ocean. Your family and loved ones will enjoy the beautiful ocean, perfect for family gatherings!

Empty Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is at a fantastic location (only bad thing was the road in front of the house, the cars were rather loud and fast) and we had the beach for ourselves. The condition of the house is not the best. A fresh coat of paint in many places and some maintenance would do wonders. It was not spotless, but it was not horribly dirty either. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but I doubt we will book this house again.

Great spring break trip

The weather was perfect all week during this spring break trip with family. The beach was beautiful with very few people actually on the beach. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, glasses, and cookware. It would have been nice to have a Keurig coffee maker, though! There were plenty of towels and beach towels. The beds were comfortable. We loved sitting in the adirondack chairs on the covered porch and in the sun. We weren't expecting the downstairs area to be a totally separate apartment, but it was a nice area. The home was clean in obvious areas, but needed a little more vacuuming under the furniture and the bathtubs had very slow drains - both things that are easy to fix :-) Karen was great to work with and quickly responded to messages. The charcuterie box was so nice upon our arrival!

January stay

Wonderful location and home for family time at the beach. Tons of shells on the beach for the kids to sort through. This home has all the needed kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies. It even has more matching plates, dishes, and cups then our family of 11 needed. We were not expecting that the house was split into 2 units that required us to walk around outside but the weather was beautiful so that was not an issue. Only concerns were the dishwasher was moldy, the light switch is wired incorrectly for the stairs, and the AC stopped working just before we left.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and Karen was a pleasure to work with. We found a lovely charcuterie box upon arrival. But the views...WOW! We spent many hours relaxing on the deck and even on the private beach steps away from the house. Downtown St. Augustine was a short drive away as was other smaller towns with shops and restaurants. We are counting the days until our next visit!

Right on the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location. House is lovely on the inside. The one issue was that the power to part of the house (including the fridge and washing machine) went off multiple times every day; we stayed over the Christmas period so it was difficult to get someone to look at it. Unsure whether the problem was with the house or the power supply company but I’m guessing it was the house.
