Welcome to The Great Escape! This oceanfront gem is located in the heart of beautiful, quiet and serene Ponte Vedra Beach. The house boasts 3 story beach living with amazing window and deck views and outdoor spaces, sleeps 8 and has been completely renovated from the ground up! Our Beautiful Beach House is nestled on a secluded stretch of beach that has no public parking or access nearby and is only 8 miles from historic downtown St. Augustine, just minutes from shopping, dining and the best tourist attractions.
The home has a newly remodeled, studio, mother-in-law suite on the first floor with its own private entrance, private kitchen, bathroom, sleeping space with king bed, living room, 55" smart tv, laundry and outdoor space.
The second story (the main living area) has amazing deck space overlooking Ponte Vedra Beach and the ocean and outdoor dining and grill that overlooks the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean. The main living area has an open floor plan with lots of sunlight, window views, eat-in kitchen and living room.  The main level master bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. The loft on the third floor has two addition twin beds for the comfort of your family and friends. Each bedroom has its own smart tv and clothing storage.
The house sits just across from the Guana Ocean Environmental Reserve where you can hike, jog, kayak, and bike while surrounded by protected wildlife. More than 3,800 sea turtles hatch on Ponte Vedra Beach each year, and the Guana Reserve works hard to protect the wildlife that's right outside our door! Outside on the property, enjoy visiting on the large balcony that includes a charcoal grill, a picnic table for beachside cookouts, reclining lounge chairs around the firepit for relaxing, and the perfect hammock for an afternoon siesta by the sea. This section of beach offers a lot of privacy, sounds and views of breaking waves, amazing seashells and some of the best surf fishing around, so bring your poles and catch dinner! In the evening enjoy the firepit while kicking back in the Adirondack chairs to enjoy the cool ocean breeze with a bottle of wine. Beach chairs and beach games are also provided! Wonderful getaway

Great place to stay, right on the beach! Watched dolphins from deck! Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. Nice being close to St. Augustine. Would definitely stay here again

A for the A-frame!

My husband and I enjoyed all aspects of this cozy beach house during our 3-week stay. Great oceanfront location. Enjoyed both the sunny upstairs deck and shady downstairs deck. Very responsive host when we accidentally locked ourselves out after a long walk on the beach :)

Awesome location

Love this property! Our family had a wonderful stay. Cannot beat the location and the ocean views are amazing! House is super cute and the downstairs separate area was perfect. Would definitely stay here again and hope to!

Beach Vacation

If you’re looking for a vacation on the beach look no further. We stayed at the house most of the trip as we wanted as much time on the beach as possible. Private beach with immediate beach access as your back yard.

Oceanfront retreats

Our stay was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back. The house sits right on the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting outside on the deck watching the ocean. The is a perfect beach house. The owners were a pleasure to work with. There are many things to do. St Augustine is only a few miles away which has some great restaurants. All in all it was great. I highly recommend it.

Girls getaway

The location of the house is great. They have everything you need for the beach. The house was a little smaller than anticipated, but the room below is a bonus! The kitchen could be stocked a little better. There were 4 adults and only 2 wine glasses. Also we needed a pan to warm up chicken and there was none. They were minor things. I would recommend this house!

This property is perfect! Can’t say a single negative thing about it. Location is amazing. Beach is private (some days we didn’t see another person). Bed was comfy. Very quiet & felt secluded. We will be back!

Great stay.. spouse and I stayed in the “ in laws quarters” and gave the adult “kids” upstairs. Beach was mostly empty. Weather was outstanding. FYI….There are several houses under construction on both sides of this house due to storm damage,

Great location

We loved the location and were able to visit St. Augustine and Amelia Island from there. Beautiful uncrowded beach in September. We made the best of the rainy weather. St. Augustine is beautiful! The house had a few issues - the window on the main level was leaking badly and dripped all the way to the jnlaw suite’s door so we used towels to catch the drips. Our friends said they saw a lot of roaches in the inlaw suite, some of which walked on them during the night. The gas stove’s front burner dial came off and we needed assistance from the contractor to turn off the gas and the ignition. Other than that, we had a good time anyway.

Great Escape Vacay

The location sells this house. The beach is rightcout the door, which is exactly what we wanted. And there were no crowds to deal with. Most of the time we nearly had the beach to ourselves. Yes, the house was on the small side, but it worked for us. I would have liked a bit more space in the 1st floor bathroom (particularly the vanity area) but we got by. Enjoyed spending time on the porches and the firepit area when we weren't on the beach. The host, Brian, responded promptly on the couple of occassions we needed something. I would recommend The Great Escape to anyone looking for a low key beach vacation.

On the beach!

We had 6 people (from age 10 to 70) stay for a week. Everyone enjoyed our vacation. The house is in a great location - north enough to be away from the crowds, but still convenient to get places. It was wonderful to be able to walk outside and be on the beach. The beds were comfortable. We had plenty of hot water for showers. Would go back!

Ocean view spectacular!

The property was well-maintained, and the views were incredible! It was a bit smaller than it appears on web but was adequate. Because we are at the beach, it would be nice if the glassware was unbreakable. Overall, the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and there was a Publix just down the road. We would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone wanting a beachfront property vacation.

It was alright

The host is super responsive and a good communicator. The house needs work- pictures look good online, but the place needs some tlc. I was not aware that the master was separate from the rest of the house. Its like two different rentals stacked on top of each other. The ceiling was leaking onto the bed post in the master. On the main floor the flooring around some of the air registers were mushy and sink in when you step on them.

Perfect Relaxation!

Our family thoroughly loved this location. The rental was exactly as listed and did not disappoint. We had everything that we needed and enjoyed the private beach immensely. Highly recommend this location although be sure to bring bug spray for evenings and night as there are quite a few insects in the area when the sun goes down. We left firewood for the next renters to enjoy the fire pit which we loved by the ocean. Thank you for having us and we hope to visit again.

Family Spring Break

It was a nice relaxing get away. Owner was responsive quickly to our concerns. He sent someone over to correct issues same day. We felt it was worth what we paid and accomplished our goal of being right on the beach. The kids had a good time. Sunsets were gorgeous. Short drives to both St. Augustine and Jacksonville.

Relaxing

This was a cozy house where our family could relax and enjoy our vacation. We could sit on either porch and watch the kids build sand castles and jump through the waves. I needed one thing while on our stay here and messaged the owner at 10pm. I had it by early morning ☺️. I appreciated his quick response to anything I asked. This house was perfect for our family and we would definitely stay here again!
