Basement Apartment Minutes from World Class Skiing
Basement apartment 5 minutes from Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton, Alta, Solitude and Snowbird ski resorts. Quiet neighborhood in a great location for mountain getaways with a park and ride through Utah Transit Authority (UTA) to the ski resorts just a few blocks away. Park City, Canyons, and Deer Valley only 30 minutes away. Sundance 45 minutes away and a short 15 miles to downtown SLC.
The apartment is 1600 square feet with private entrance. Comfortably sleeps 5 between the two bedrooms (king bed in one bedroom, two twins in the other bedroom with a trundle under the daybed) with additional space in the family room for a cot and/or air mattresses. There is one full bath, a spacious family room with smart TV, a large kitchen and full-size washer and dryer. One car allowed. Parking available on the street directly in front of property (please do not block neighbors mailboxes or drives) when there is no snow and on the far left of the driveway when there is snow on the streets or snow is anticipated. Winter tires or 4-wheel drive recommended in snowy weather.
Owners live upstairs, so it is anticipated there will be some noise, but will do our best to keep it at a minimum. There is a friendly dog in the backyard who loves to play, so please do not open the gate so she doesn't escape.

I stayed at Daniel's apartment with a friend for our annual girls' ski trip and we had an amazing time! Apartment is super conveniently located to all four of the Cottonwood Resorts, as well as plentiful shops and restaurants nearby. Daniel's apartment was super clean and comfortable, quiet and peaceful. Kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook, and the laundry is a great addition! check-in and check-out were a breeze, no problems at all! Highly recommend!
This was a great experience. Went on a 2 day ski trip to Little Cottonwood with my adult sons. The property is quiet, clean and very nice. It is super close to Little Cottonwood as well as Big Cottonwood (about equidistant between the two canyons).The property is spacious and was very comfortable and the host was very responsive. I will definitely stay there again when visiting SLC / Alta / Snowbird / Solitude / BrightonOne tip - google maps / waze took me to the wrong neighborhood - Apple maps brings you to the correct address :-)
We had a great time in the basement apartment. We skiied at Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude and the drive was always less than 20 minutes! The apartment is very spacious and well equipped but it is a basement apartment so there isn't any outdoor space / bbq etc, but we had a great time there and would absolutely stay there again!
Conveniently located between the entrance to both Cottonwood Canyons for easy access to ski resorts. Comfortable, large space for a group of 4, with all the necessary amenities. Easy communication with the property. Only negatives were the noise from residents walking around upstairs in the early morning and the twin bed mattresses were a bit too soft. Otherwise, great stay.
Very clean, easy access. Property managers live on site and we're easy to follow up with. Communicated well and answered questions about the area, etc. Great space for a several month stay (as we needed) or a quick getaway. Definitely recommend 👌
Nice large basement property with private entrance. This unit comfortably caters to 5-6 guests with the only drawback being a single full bath. Other than that, the kitchen, dining, living room, and bedrooms were perfect for our party of 5. We would definitely return for another stay.
Arrived to a beautifully clean unit located very close to both Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. Overall the unit is nice but does need some simple upgrades. Kitchen was poorly stocked and I had a hard time cooking for my family of 5. Some larger/more pots and pans and additional glassware would be nice (we had to drink our wine out of mugs since there were no wine glasses). Sheets and towels were very nice but the bedding in the queen room could use an upgrade, it was kind of faded and tired - felt like a hand me down. Also could use some more/variety of pillows. Bedroom also lacked nightstands so we had to place our phones, books, and cups etc. on the floor. There were also no dressers or places for clothing and only half a dozen hangers so we wound up living out of our suitcases. The shower was nice and hot and we always had plenty of hot water for showers - they also included nice shampoo, conditioner and soap. Having a full washer and dryer was also wonderful since skiing daily with 3 kids we had lots of laundry. Check in process was clunky - the door code wasn't provided so I had to email the owner to get access. Once inside there was no info about the wifi or how to deal with trash or heavy snow or local restaurants etc. A simple check in book would be very helpful. The owner was always very quick to respond to questions or requests but it would be nice to not have to bother them with questions. TV doesn't have cable or a DVD player so you will need to have your own Netflix/Prime login. We also found about 10 air fresheners which triggered a migraine - we tried to hunt down and remove them all and aired out the unit to remove the smell. All in all the location can't be beat - super close to both canyons and right around the corner from the grocery store and a clean and comfy place to rest your head. You can tell the owners really care and that this is a new venture for them. With some simple and quick upgrades this place will be 5 star!
