This home is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood with excellent proximity to all the conveniences of the city. (It's also the closest neighborhood to Liberty University for those coming to visit that campus.) Restaurants, shopping, & groceries are only 2-3 minutes away.

There is easy access onto 460 from the neighborhood, which takes you towards Appomattox in one direction and Bedford, the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Peaks of Otter, and Roanoke in the other direction. Only 4 minutes from the Lynchburg airport. It's a great home base as you explore the area.

Wonderful stay

Very nice property and exceptional owner. It was very hot & humid and the AC worked very well. Took several walks and this is in a great neighborhood. Location could not be better- just a couple mins to every type of store & restaurant.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay while visiting our daughter at LU. The home is lovely - clean, comfortable and well appointed and we had everything we needed for our family visit! The hosts were fabulous - great communication and so courteous. I highly recommend this property and look forward to booking again for our next visit!

Wonderful Accommodations and Great Location

We had a wonderful stay. It is hard to find a home that fits all of us perfectly. It was nice to have a bed for everyone. Very comfortable, clean home, everything we needed for a great stay. Perfect location when visiting Liberty. We would love to stay here on our next visit to Lynchburg.

Great location to Liberty!

This was the perfect home for us during Liberty's CFAW. Location was super close and neighborhood was quiet. Lots of room inside & outside for 3 big teenage boys to spread out and for mamas to sit and chat. Would definitely recommend to friends interested in the Lynchburg area. Host gave great recommendations on local restaurants. We tried Bootleggers (great burgers) and Iron & Ale- Both great experiences.

Great location

We have stayed in another VRBO across the street, so the neighborhood is perfect for our needs while in Lynchburg. Very close to Liberty and central to a number of recreational and historical opportunities for us to visit. The house was laid out well and suited exactly what our family needed. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had was an off smell when we first arrived in the home which dissipated after several hours. Overall, a great stay.

Lynchburg Living!

I chose this place due to its size and location in Lynchburg. My wife and I, in conjunction with her twin and his wife were looking for a place for our families to stay together while in town for the wedding of our nephew. It also worked well due to proximity to Liberty University, as our daughter and her boyfriend attend Liberty. It’s hard to judge a book by its cover and truly estimate the size of a house by pictures, but upon arrival, we found this place to be well more than sufficient! Not only did it house our two families well, it provided the location and size sufficient for our extended family to gather, socialize, play games and spend much needed time together. Even the younger children that visited found exile on the back patio playing basketball, in the basement playing board games and having fun as cousins. Due to its location and size, if John finds us as suitable tenants, we will return for more stays for visits and graduations, and possibly other events. We are thankful to have found this place and highly recommend it, especially if you want a place that feels like a home away from home!

This is a stellar VRBO. The quality of everything from the bed linens, mattresses and toiletries was exceptional. The house was very clean. Very well spaced out and had all the amenities needed. Didn't get to enjoy the outdoor areas but those looked very nice. Would definitely stay again!

The Grove is a beautiful home with wonderful amenities! From the spacious and well appointed living/kitchen to the beautiful bedrooms and baths. The neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, and the yard is well-groomed with a nice patio to enjoy. John and Danielle were quick to respond to questions and gave great tips for shopping, restaurants and activities. Hope to travel to Lynchburg again and will definitely stay at The Grove!!!

Beautiful property in convenient location

We spent the weekend in Lynchburg for a wedding and loved the layout of this home and convenient location. Hosts offered many amenities - our group loved the entertainment room and beautiful outdoor area. We had 5 adults and pets with tons of space. The hosts provided a large dog crate and made our furry friends feel welcome. This truly felt like a home away from home and we had a great stay.

The space was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Open space for all to gather together, yet other spaces to break off from the group: basement and backyard. Kitchen was well equipped. Homely Home Away From Home

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped home.The house is older but very well maintained, with charming, modern decor that made it feel both homey and stylish.It’s also conveniently located near restaurants if you prefer dining out, but fully equipped for preparing a home-cooked meal if you’d rather stay in.We did notice a few insects during our stay, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. The home is in a woodsy area, so it’s somewhat expected—and my son and grandson were thoroughly entertained by my dramatic reaction to a centipede! It turned into a fun memory and plenty of laughs.Overall, this was a great place to relax and gather. I would highly recommend it for multi-family trips, graduations, or visits with college students. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would love to return!

A Fun and Cozy Home Away

What a perfect place to call home for our visit to Lynchburg! Everything listed was right where we expected it to be, and some things were even better than listed - like the rollaway cot had a super nice mattress, and the upstairs living room had a beautiful view of both the front and back of the wooded lot in a very welcoming visually pleasing neighborhood.

Nice neighborhood, within short distance of Liberty University and shopping. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Great for extended family because the downstairs is almost a complete apartment. The downstairs was wheelchair accessible.

Family Reunion Thanksgiving

What a great house for family! We had to prepare several large gathering dinners and thd kitchen was perfect! Everything we needed and a super large kitchen island made cooking a breeze. The only concern we had was the older (80 +) folks struggled getting in and out of the upper level tub as the sides are very high. The younger crew on the other hand loved the huge tub. So just a thought for others thinking of booking. Other than that, everything was great!

Wonderful place to stay!

We were in town for a funeral and this was a comfortable place to come back to and unwind. The kids (and adults) loved hanging out downstairs, playing all the games and shooting hoops. The house was well stocked and we had everything we needed and more. We would definitely stay here again!
