The Cabin at Oaks Village is located 2 miles from LU campus but feels like country living. With scenic views of the LU Medical Building and the Lynchburg Regional Airport, you will enjoy sipping morning coffee in the bright sunroom or patio. At dusk, enjoy the wildlife that arrives in the neighboring fields to eat and play.

Inside you will find a living room with the original log walls. The sofa opens to a queen size bed. This room was the extent of the original home in the early 1900's. There is one nice size bedroom with queen bed. The large country kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals so you can avoid the crowds at the local restaurants. The kitchen table seats four comfortably and there is a card table and four folding chairs for larger dinner gatherings. The kitchen opens into a small den with Cable TV. Also off the kitchen is the bathroom/laundry room with full size washer and dryer. The beautiful sunroom is furnished with wicker chairs--a great place to read and sip coffee in the mornings. Off the sunroom is the deck, complete with table, umbrella and chairs--another great place to relax!

Free Wifi!

The Cabin has a ductless heating and air conditioning system for those hot humid days in late summer. However, the 100+ year old oak trees on the property, provide ample shade and there is seldom a day without a nice breeze. Open the windows, enjoy the fresh air and just RELAX!

We had a wonderful stay at The Cabin. It has a very homey/comfortable feel. It was extremely clean and well kept! As a farming family ourselves, we enjoyed seeing the cattle next door and the wide open space outside (the kids especially loved the swing.)

Such a cute and quaint place to stay. It was the perfect size for my husband and me. The house was very clean and comfortable. It is close to so many shops and restaurants but far enough away that you don’t hear the traffic. It is close to a private airport but we only heard one plane (off in the distance) the entire time we were there and it was during the day. The place is perfect for a quick getaway!! We highly recommend it.

Lovely views and cozy, clean, cabin with great kitchen and lots of extras provided. Our grandchildren came over and enjoyed playing in the big yard and exploring the wooded areas behind the cabin. Love the history of this Family Cabin.

Close to Liberty University

We were visiting Liberty University for CFAW and needed somewhere to stay for my son and I. This was a quaint little cottage that was fitting for what we needed. Very clean and new even though the house is an old farm house. Would recommend.

My name is Laura Lin and I manage rental properties for my parents. I grew up in Lynchburg but left when I married. My husband, David, and I lived in Raleigh, NC for 28 years before returning to Lynchburg in 2016. We plan to live out the rest of our years here in the heart of Virginia!

Why they chose this property

The Cabin at Oaks Village is a very special place to me. It was the home of my maternal grandparents. The Cabin and the surrounding 20 acres have been in my family for over 100 years. In 2015 we completed a total makeover of the property and now enjoy sharing this special place with others.

What makes this property unique

What I love most about The Cabin is the farm setting. It is so quiet and there is always a nice breeze, even on the hottest days. The view of the Lynchburg Airport is very nice and of course the morning and evening skies are gorgeous. You feel like you are deep in the country, but in reality, Liberty University Campus is just 2 miles away as well as plenty of shopping and eateries.
