Casa Katia A is a pleasant and spacious two-story apartment in the characteristic style of the Tuscan countryside. It sleeps six people. From Casa Katia A you will have a view of the Chianti hills. Casa Katia A is 80 square meters (860 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a private patio, a shared garden, air conditioning only during daytime (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 1 km (0.6 miles) from the borough of San Donato in Poggio, where you will find restaurants and a grocery store. You will find the stop for ACV bus Poggibonsi - San Donato - Firenze line 370 at 800 meters (2600 feet).
You will reach Casa Katia A from the parking area along a short route that is flat.
To stay at Casa Katia A you will need a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, free of charge in a parking lot. Casa Katia A is one of the holiday homes available in a complex. Casa Katia apartments are part of typical Tuscan farm house, located in the oldest part of the Chianti Classico area, where fine quality wine and olive oil are produced.


The complex, which offers a wonderful sight on the Chianti hills, consists of 11 apartments located in two stone-buildings surrounded by olive threes and vineyards. The complex can host up to 60 people.


You will enjoy the charming view of the vineyards and the red soil of the hill, which are the main features and reflect the true colors of this unforgettable landscape.


You will have the chance to taste and to purchase wine and oil inside the farm, in a splendid environment consisting of old barrels of seasoned wood, nearby wine cellars where Chianti DOCG is produced.


As guests of Casa Katia apartments you will be able to take part in many activities (upon request and for a fee) such as tasting with light lunch, guided horseback ride, guided bike excursion with a visit to San Gimignano and Monteriggioni.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 8 meters (26 feet) large by 15 meters (50 feet) long, 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) deep. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. By the pool you will also find a bathroom which is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a pleasant view of the surrounding olive groves. You will share the pool with guests staying at 10 other apartments. The swimming pool is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.
Garden
The garden is 2000 square meters (21500 square feet). It is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue. From the garden you will enjoy a pleasant view of the Tuscan countryside. You will share the garden with the other guests staying at the complex.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the inner court of the building going down 12 steps. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.  Patio
The patio is 20 square meters (215 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs and a sun umbrella. From the patio you will have a pleasant view of the surrounding olive groves and of the parking lot.
Entrance LevelLiving Room
The living room is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The ceiling is sloped and has characteristic exposed wood beams and terracotta tiles. The furnishings are rural and characteristic of the Tuscan house, and include a divan that unfolds into a double bed (available upon request with an additional cost -- please contact our staff in advance). There is a big fireplace made of bricks. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a large flat-screen satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the patio through a French door. The room also has a window. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. Here you will also find a safe.
Bedroom 1
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the living room through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the surrounding olive groves and of the Chianti hills, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 2
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the living room through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a window with a view of the surrounding olive groves and of the Chianti hills, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom 1
The first bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. The bathroom has a small window. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room through an access area.
First LevelBedroom 3
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the living room climbing a wooden staircase with 15 steps. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). The furnishings include a rocking chair. The room has a Juliet balcony with a view of the surrounding olive groves and of the Chianti hills, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom 2
The second bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room climbing a wooden staircase with 15 steps.
