Beautiful home. Very clean with modern facilities. We did not have a car and didn’t realize that we really needed one.

Thanks for your feedback. The house is located 6 km away from downtown Siena, in the gorgeous countryside. Although we offer transportation for a fee, it is indeed recommended to have your own car for convenience and flexibility.
This is a beautiful property with a lovely pool surrounded by olive trees. We enjoyed the pool and the local dinner recommendations. Our host stopped by nearly daily which was a bit much. And the bedroom configuration was not ideal for our party-we had two couples and two singles...all in all it was a very nice time and a beautiful location to visit in Tuscany.

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. We will review and consider some adjustments.
Perfect stay for a rural Tuscan experience with a scenic view down the hillside and towards Siena from the heated pool. The house has a chef's kitchen that is very well equipped and a lovely dining space, perfect for small groups or families. Mido was incredibly responsive and helpful in scheduling activities for our visit - highly recommend!

Thanks Megan, we are glad your stay with us was enjoyable.
This property is very unique and the setting is very beautiful overlooking the Tuscan countryside. We enjoyed the very nice pool, outdoor seating and the spacious house. The house is very modern and high tech. The host emphasized to us to be very careful in the house when using the kitchen, thermostat etc..which made it slightly intimidating to use. We did come home to the AC not working but after some communication with the host he came to fix it, which we appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful property and the pool is lovely.

Thanks for your feedback Robin, the AC in the house is brand new and rely on a single heat pump both for heating in winter and cooling in Summer. This helps with our environmentally friendly commitment. I agree that it can be a bit confusing at first, but once properly setup it works just fine. We are currently at the house and while it is 38 degrees outside, we have enjoyed a restful night at 21 degrees in the rooms.
We are glad you have enjoyed your stay with us. Come back anytime.
Only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer to explore more of Tuscany. Wish weather was a bit warmer to use the beautiful pool. Overall beautiful home with upscale features! We really enjoyed our stay!

Hi Kristene,
I am sorry about the weather, but I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Hope next time you visit Tuscany, weather conditions will be better. Take care.
Beautiful property and accommodations in the Tuscan countryside.
We were two couples looking for an authentic Tuscan experience in the gorgeous countryside. The location is well suited to travel to Montalpucino, Chianti, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa and Florence. Both Mido and David were very attentive towards making our visit comfortable . A gorgeous building with high quality style and finishes. A top contender for best vrbo property I have ever visited. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time in this amazing barn now turned into a luxurious home with high end finishings. Spacious, comfortable, with all necessary amenities and enough privacy for all guests. All so nicely arranged up and until the smallest detail to make you feel at home and perfectly clean. The pool is perfect, with wonderful Tuscany hill views. There’s lots of private grounds with beautiful olive trees and flowers.
Mido was very friendly and helpful.
Clean and modern home. My husband and I spent 3 nights at the villa. We had a blast playing fuzz ball. It was a little cold to swim but the pool is lovely. First day we relaxed at the villa and enjoyed a bottle of bubbly, compliments of Mido. We travel to Florence one day and toured wineries another.
Mido was great to work with. We got an amazing recommendation to visit Brancaia winery; we had a wonderful tour and tasting.
If you like cool, modern/rustic homes with a great location, you’ll really enjoy this villa!
This was my favorite stay in Italy! We rented this amazing house with pool for my family - including 2 kids ages 9 and 11. This house is so amazing. I looked through so many properties that looked good on the outside but were so dusty/crusty inside. This one doesn’t disappoint. If you want restoration hardware vibes in a Tuscan villa- this is it. The kitchen is gorgeous and the floor plan is open and updated/modern. Mido takes care of everything you need. We appreciated having laundry during our mid-trip stay and the kids loved the salt water swimming pool (overlooking the Tuscan hills)- just gorgeous. The pool and house were perfect after long days of wine tasting. Also, Mido is an excellent chef! We did a cooking class with him and Sylvia which was so delicious and amazing. 10 stars. We made pasta and tiramisu but it turned out they made us 2 different flavors of pasta (pesto and red) along with roasted potatoes and steaks that were cooked to perfection (and I’m a steak snob). I didn’t want to leave. I also loved that Mido organized our wine tasting day and we had a a large, new van to ride around in for the day. He was so accommodating and friendly. We made recommendations for wineries and also accommodated stops for snacks, coffee, and the grocery store. I loved everything about this property, stay, and experience. An absolute gem in every way! Thank you for the memories!
The renovated barn has been lovingly and tastefully transformed into a beautiful Tuscan villa—the perfect base for our family’s first visit to the area. The space is truly unique in all the ways it has incorporated modern design and amenities while preserving the rustic charm of the structure. The rooms and furnishings are comfortable, and the kitchen is a great place to prepare a meal with fresh local ingredients.
The location was ideal for our itinerary, as we could easily visit Siena and San Gimignano on day trips, then return to enjoy the heated pool and spacious outdoor seating areas.
The grounds were filled with blooming plants, and the olive grove was nice to explore. The only noises we heard were bird songs and the sounds of the working farms all around. The peace and quiet were restorative after the hustle and bustle of Italian cities.
The property manager, Mido, is so kind and helpful. On the day of our arrival we took a wrong turn, and he was willing to drive the few miles out of the way to find us and lead us to the villa. He stayed in touch throughout, answering my questions promptly and coordinating maintenance projects to lessen their impact on our stay. He also provided good suggestions for two activities on our itinerary: a truffle hunt and an olive oil tour/tasting. Both were highlights of the trip.
If you are looking for a place in Tuscany that is notable for both its setting and its design features, you will find both in this wonderful villa.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
A very difficult experience
1) Communication with the manager was extremely difficult from the beginning to the end. 2) We could not find out where the house was on its back country dirt road after five months of trying until we were actually on the plane there. 3) When we arrived we learned that the heating system, despite individual thermostats in each room, was controlled by a master program and we had to tell the manager what temperature we wanted at any given time. 4) Because the system was a brand new heat pump system, the manager had to call in an engineer every day for the first five days of our ten day stay to make it work. 5) The manager interrupted the dinner prepared by our chef to come into the house once again to get the system working, claimed it was doing so, was immediately discovered not to be, and so wasted an hour when I should have been enjoying the expensive privately prepared dinner. 6) We were told initially that we could not hire our own chef and had to use one specified by the owner, but complained to VRBO, and finally got cooperation. 7) The kitchen is equipped with an inductance range making cooking much more difficult than with gas. 8) The clothes washer is tiny and the dryer does not work properly shutting itself off after a few minutes. It is ventless requiring the emptying of a water collection device. 9) There is a farm next door whose dogs bark incessantly and whose roosters start up at 3:30am every morning, so the doors and windows must be shut when trying to sleep.

We feel sorry that your stay wasn’t as enjoyable as you had expected.
We take great pride to address guests’ requests as professional and as fast as possible.
The exact GPS location was provided and is available on GoogleMaps. The property manager is always present to welcome guests, providing he is informed about your arrival time.
We try to be environmentally friendly; therefore the house has been designed with latest, low energy consumption technologies. The temperature at the house can be adjusted in every room, but because we use a single heat pump, it can only heat up or cool down the house. It is not possible to heat up a room and cool down the room next door at the same time.
We accommodate special requests, like bringing your own chef, but we request the chef to visit the house first, such as to ensure he/she is well prepared and can provide a great experience to the guests. We do not take any commission if you decide to use one of the chefs we recommend.
Indeed the kitchen is equipped with an induction stove, which is consistent with our concept to minimize our carbon footprint. We have photovoltaic panels feeding the house in electricity and supplying the heat pump. There is no gas supply at the house.
The dryer is fully functional but requires the water collector to be drained periodically.
The house is located near Siena but still in the country side. Our neighbor (50m away) is a farmer who owns a dog and a rooster. That is part of Tuscany’ charm!
About the host
Hosted by Mido
We are a Swiss family and have lived in Siena for several years before finding this gorgeous place, which we have acquired in 2020 and have fully renovated as our dream house. This is our little paradise where we plan to come back once retired.
Why they chose this property
the views are stunning and the house as a unique character with a central stone column holding the wood beams of the high ceiling, it is just sublime. It is a peaceful place though just 15 min. away from Siena. Perfect for a relaxing stay with friends and family.
What makes this property unique
We have preserved the character of the Tuscan style but have upgraded the house with luxury furnitures, appliances, and technology. The house is equipped with photovoltaic panels and a heat pump for low electric consumption from the grid. Electric cars can be recharged at the house.
