Our Happy Place, As Good As Beach Front, Dog Friendly, 10% Off Military/Teacher

Military and teacher discount of 10% of the rental rate before taxes, pet fee (each dog), linen etc. Discount given by the property owner not VRBO. Military and teacher discount applies to both active duty and retired members.

Up to two dogs allowed, no cats allowed. Pet fee is per pet. Please coordinate with the owner.

Listed exclusively on VRBO and its affiliates. If you see it anywhere else and it does not send you to VRBO then it is fraudulent.
3 bedroom 2.5 bath 1300 square foot home with hardwood floors, stainless appliances, screen porch, deck, patio and additional bathroom downstairs near the hot/cold outdoor shower. 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 4 bunk beds and 2 full size fold out couches.
Sleeps 10 people in 7 beds but 14 people if you utilize both fold out couches.
Parking accommodates 6 vehicles easily and you could also park your boat on the side.
Beach access is 100 feet away with a new Hatteras ramp that you can roll your cooler or cart over, no more stairs.
For the kids we have a large game/storage room downstairs with foos-ball, ping pong, pool table, toys and an air hockey table. More fun things added all the time for rainy days. We have bikes to borrow. This room can be used for your extra beach gear or suitcases.

There is a full size fridge in the game/storage room with an ice maker for guest use.

We have chairs, boogie boards and sand toys for you to borrow.
For everyone to enjoy the beach breeze and view there is two patio areas, a large deck, a screened porch and a concrete area under the house.
For the dogs there is ample yard space all around and the backyard is fenced in.
For the fisherman there is a fish cleaning sink out back.
Park for the kids one block away.

Note: Smart doorbell, electronic locks and security camera. Nest Hello doorbell camera installed on front door, Nest security camera installed outside game room/storage area downstairs outside. The front door and storage area both have electronic deadbolts for your convenience. Customized code will be sent for your stay and no more worrying about lost keys. Google mini in living room for connection to doorbell and for Google access.

We had a great vacation with family and pups! Easy access to beach and everyone loved the screened porch. Having the fenced in back yard was an added bonus for the dogs. The location was great!!

Perfect beach getaway

We booked months in advance. We had no idea our stay would be interrupted by a tropical storm. The host and hostess stayed in contact throughout our visit to make sure we were comfortable and educated on local resources. The home was well stocked for rain day events and everything beach!!! We had a wonderful time! Thank you for making your happy place our happiest of family Vacations!!!

Great birthday weekend

It was my daughters 24th birthday so we just wanted a weekend away at the beach with our family and her to dogs. The location was perfect, very clean great host checking in with us a few times due to the Hurricane. It couldn’t have been any nicer.

A Beautiful Getaway

My Husband and I (and a friend) took my 1 year old to the beach for the first time. This beach house was perfect! The bed were comfortable. The kitchen was super clean and easy to cook in. My daughter loved running around the porch and kept pointing to the beach anytime we were outside. We cannot wait to come back. Truly a beautiful house. Thank you for letting us rent your house for a few days. We made everlasting memories.

Great time, great location.

This was the perfect, cozy place for a long weekend getaway. We love being able to travel with our German shepherd, so we very much appreciate being able to bring her. Location was perfect, just steps away from the beach access. Checking in was a breeze and many essentials were provided. We loved sitting out on the screened in porch listening to the waves crashing. We did end up buying beach chairs instead of using the ones provided. They were usable, just very worn down. The couches in the living room also had visible stains, this didn’t bother us too much as we didn’t spend a ton of time there, but we did lay a towel over it. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family vacation!

This house is such a gem! It was clean, well stocked, comfortable, super close to the beach, and had a lot of conveniences. The fenced yard was great for the pups, outdoor shower was a hit, and the screened front porch was awesome - allows you to still be able to hang outside when it rains. The wagon, extra chairs, and sand toys were also a bonus. Extra fridge in the basement…could go on and on. Clint has thought of everything! He’s a great host. Instructions were clear and he’s accessible if you shall needed. Will definitely return!

Perfect!

The house feels like a home. Not like a sparce vacation rental. It's well laid out, with lots of living space setting, a wonderful table that serves very well for family games. Plenty of everything you could want in a kitchen. For pets it's perfect. A large fenced in space and a screen porch with locking door that allows for lots of freedom for the 4-legged family members. There's a nice ocean view from both sides. The location is great. Not too far from restaurants and shops but away enough to be quiet. The access to the beach is very close. We've stayed in ocean-front houses where the beach access is further from the beach than at this location, just because of the way it sits. The only time I needed to reach out to the owner, I heard back immediately. It turned out to not be an issue at all. We would definitely come here again.

Peace At The Beach!

Hi all! We arrived at night, so l didn't see the beach, but l heard it, and smelled it. When the dawn broke, oh my! 😲 What a beautiful sight that greeted me. The beach is awesomely close, and l enjoyed coffee, sitting in the screened porch morning after morning! Even though the weather was 80 degrees and cold and rainy the rest of the time there, my family and l had a terrific time eating and cooking in the spacious dining area. In fact, the home is roomy, inside and out. The place was clean and inviting. I was disappointed in the care and operating state of the bikes when my bother and l tried to ride them...but, very, very nice neighbor across the street and everyone said hello to us. Grocery shopping, eating areas, and good walking nearby. Easy, easy check-in too. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Teachers, you get a discount! 😊 This home is simple, nice, spacious and clean in a quiet, slow neighborhood-that is in the cool and cold months, which have become my new favorite 😀. (thank you for sharing your home with this beach lover!)

An absolute dream property

Our communication, from the beginning, was clear and open. This held true with follow on arrival instructions. The screened in porch facing the beach is absolute perfection! Best place in the whole house. Kitchen is a breeze to manuver around. Having an extra fridge downstairs is a bonus. There is little to nothing you will want as far as beach gear, no matter your age, and a wagon to get it the very short walk to the beach access point (#6) Linens were there when we arrived and very clearly marked for each bed size including towels and a rag bag (we used the rag bag for the kitchen.) Plenty of extra blankets and pillows too. Plenty of cooking seasonings, plates, utensils, cooking items, and storage items. This really cuts down on what you need to bring (same with linens.) We were very glad to see some dog bowls and a mat (under the sink.) There was even a glass jar of dog treats! Plenty of room in both fridges. The main fridge even makes two kinds of ice. It was almost like they new we were die hard whisky drinkers (ice balls for the win!!) Neighbors were quiet and the beach was less than crowded (Yay OBX!!!) And the beach is clean, of course. Been coming to Topsail since the 80's (we had a family house) and this was our first time in Surf City. This property made the slight move north worth it. The ocen is beautifully viewed from the screened in porch so don't worry about a lack of view. That was not an issue. Hats off to the owners!!!!

October is our favorite time at the beach. We usually pick a different dog friendly place each year. Clint's place is now our favorite and we haven't stayed anywhere that we liked better than "Our Happy Place". The view is just as good as ocean front. The screened in porch is where we stayed most of the time. All the beds were comfortable and the living room furniture was comfortable as well. The beach access was really close by. This place has everything we needed and more. We are already planning our next trip here. Thanks Clint for being the best host ever!!

The house was in a perfect location. It was clean but could use some TLC. The bathroom off the master is the tiniest I’ve ever seen and I wasn’t comfortable in the shower, but I was able to use the nice big shower in the other bathroom. The owner was so easy to communicate with.

A Happy Place for sure

I love Topsail Beach! Nice home and fenced yard as I have little dogs! Easy access to the beach across the street. Comfortable home with a large tv in family room that I could easily operate! Had to reach out a couple of times and had a quick response and resolution! my car never left the driveway:)

We love the beach and are new to coastal home ownership. So much of our time is spent here so we thought we would make it permanent.

The view is amazing and the street this house is on is very quiet with little traffic. Great place for a bike ride or a walk

We offer a military discount as well as a teacher discount. All that is needed is an ID.
